Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
My name is Gabriella and this is a yoga nidra meditation connecting to our heart chakra,
The energy centre that rules unconditional love and compassion.
I hope you enjoy.
I invite you now to come into a comfortable lying down position whether on a yoga mat with cushions and blankets or on a bed,
Setting the intention to remain completely awake and aware throughout today's practice.
Lying down in a savasana pose with hands facing upwards either side of the body and feet out to the side,
I invite you now to close down your eyes and tune into your body now,
Becoming aware of your breath,
Bringing your focus of attention today to your heart centre and breathing into that space for a moment,
Becoming aware of all the sensations that surround you and any noises in and around your space.
When bringing your attention back into your body to your heart space and having a few breaths here.
I would like you to imagine you are breathing in golden light from the universe,
Golden healing light from the universe through your nose and down to your heart centre and then imagine yourself releasing cloudy,
Smoky,
Dark,
Shadowy air out of your nose from your heart centre,
Breathing in golden light and breathing out smoky light or any residue that no longer needs to be held in this centre.
Inhaling for the count of four and exhaling for the count of six.
Inhaling for the count of four and exhaling for the count of six.
Inhaling golden light to your heart,
Exhaling smoky light from your heart and we will do this for a few minutes together.

I invite you to bring your attention to the space furthest away in the distance.
What sounds do you notice far away in the distance?
Now bringing your attention to the space outside the room you are in,
Becoming aware of the space outside the room.
What sounds can you hear just outside your room now?
Bringing your attention to the room,
Becoming aware of the space above you,
The space below you and the four walls that surround you.
And bringing your attention to your body,
Becoming aware of the sensations in your body.
Feeling any areas of tension now.
As I name various body parts,
I would like you to send loving energy from your heart centre to these places for a moment.

Becoming as light as a feather.
Your legs are becoming light.
Your torso is becoming light.
Your head is becoming light and your arms are becoming light now.
Now I'd like you to imagine yourself wrapped in a bubble of golden light,
Safe and protected.
We're going to travel in this golden light now up through the roof of the building that we're in and out into the sky.
We're going to travel up towards the edge of the Earth's atmosphere,
Passing the town where we live,
Passing the city and eventually the whole country below us.
We're going to travel further still until we can see the whole entire world below us.
We're going to imagine that we are holding hands together in this circle surrounding the Earth from outer space.
And with all our loving heart energy that has been charged up by the universe,
We're going to together send healing love down to the world below us,
Sending love to the rivers and the oceans,
Sending love to the mountains and the beaches,
Sending love to all the creatures of the air and the waters and the land,
And sending love to all the people of the world,
Sending love to all the plants and all the rocks and the minerals and sending love to the air in this collective field together in outer space.
From your heart to all of our hearts around the whole entire planet sending love.
And taking a moment to visualize the whole entire world below you as you look down on the whole planet from outer space.
You you you you you And we're going to travel down back through the Earth's atmosphere,
Safe and protected in our bubble of golden light,
Traveling back down to our country of residence,
Traveling back down to our nearest city and our town,
Possibly our village,
And to the road or street that we're on,
Traveling back through the ceiling of the room we're in,
And arriving back safe and protected into our body again,
Allowing the golden bubble to dissolve and allowing all of our energy to reintegrate with our body,
Taking a moment to feel our bodies again.
With eyes remaining closed we'll bring our attention now to the space furthest in the distance.
What sounds can you hear furthest in the distance now?
And bringing your attention to the space outside the room you're in,
Becoming aware of any sounds outside the room.
And bringing your attention back into the space where you are lying,
Becoming aware of the ceiling above you,
Becoming aware of the surface below you and the walls that surround you.
Bringing your attention back to your body,
Perhaps you want to wriggle your fingers and wriggle your toes,
Bringing your awareness to sensations in your body.
I'm going to invite you to close today's practice,
Staying lying down,
Bringing your hands to your heart,
Holding your heart in your hands and giving thanks to your heart for beating,
For keeping you alive,
For pumping blood all around your body,
For holding the love and compassion you have for all beings and the love you have for yourself.
