Imagine sitting in an empty room.
No chairs,
No tables,
No plants or trees,
No noise,
No chairs or paintings,
Just nothing.
How does it feel in here?
And even in this empty room,
There is something.
Inside yourself,
You may be able to feel your breath.
Inside yourself,
There is movement.
If you like,
You can go back and forth with this movement.
Slowly or faster.
Imagine a wave inside your body,
Rushing,
Flowing,
Washing,
Rinsing,
Clearing out.
And imagine all of your thoughts,
Emotions,
All the waste products from your body,
Let them wash away.
Let them drift,
Let yourself drift,
Let your mind float along while the water rushes back and forth.
Slushing,
Falling,
Rising,
Going round,
Up and down.
Imagine moving with it.
Imagine your body becoming this water,
Flowing around.
Imagine yourself getting washed away,
Flowing with this energy,
This feeling.
Imagine yourself floating,
Washing away,
Rising,
Falling,
Slushing,
Rinsing and becoming the water.
Let it move freely.
Imagine this water evaporating.
And as you are a part of the water,
Some part of you may evaporate as well.
Imagine the extra space.
Imagine expanding as the water turns into air,
Thinning out,
Becoming see-through.
Still,
Maybe with a rushing motion,
With a movement inside,
And at the same time this airy stillness.
This expansion of the breath,
Of the water,
Of the emotion of yourself into a larger space.
And in this larger space,
There is at the same time more movement and less movement.
There is a stillness here.
Even if all the little parts of water are moving,
The cloud itself is still.
Let the air and the water move as it wants to,
Like a cloud floating around.
There isn't an edge.
It's just a mist,
A vapor.
It's here,
And at the same time,
It isn't really in a particular place.
And imagine yourself as this water being connected,
Not just to this body,
But to the air,
To the clouds,
To the water that formed from raindrops,
To the earth,
To the trees.
You can play around as the water or the wind if you like.
You can imagine rustling trees.
You can imagine yourself as rain falling,
Giving life,
Creating streams,
Movement of water or movement in the lakes or in the ocean.
You are a part of this,
This emotion,
This stillness.
Every breath you draw takes in some of this air,
Some of this water vapor,
And every breath lets more of you and more of this life-giving water into the world.
Imagine that you are connected to the water of the oceans,
To the rain,
To the forests,
To the air and to the earth.
Imagine this one thing ever moving and yet so still right now.
Even as the things change below you,
Inside you and around you,
There is only stillness right here in this one giant system.
There is only stillness in this giant being,
This one thing,
All that is,
And yet a stillness that hardly is anything.
And imagine letting the wind and the warmth of the sun move you around.
Imagine the sun's heat lifting you up.
Imagine the wind sweeping you this way and the other way,
And even as the wind sweeps and you move and rush to one place and rush to the other,
There is a great stillness in the background or in the front.
Right here,
This one thing we are part of does not move,
It just is.
And let all this motion in the water,
The wind,
The air,
The earth,
The trees,
The water,
Let it all fade.
Let it become one thing.
And stay here with this energy,
With this feeling,
This place that has no place,
That is inside you and yet mostly outside you.
There is a great energy in all of the wind,
In all the motion,
In the water,
In the earth and in the sun.
And yet it is one thing on moving inside and outside.
There may be places in the body where you can sense this or get some tingling or another sensation.
Stay where the input you get,
Stay in the place and move with it and get moved by it.
Let yourself sway.
Let the mind be moved and let the body move if it wants to.
Yet it is all one thing.
It is all here and yet everywhere else.
And as you sit in this sensation,
This energy or whatever you like to call it,
Don't give it a name,
Just stay with it.
Stay with the sensations,
The feelings,
The emotions.
Whatever comes to you,
Let that be,
Stay in it,
Move with it and get moved by it.
You don't have to be pushed and don't push.
You cannot touch this.
Just stay with it.
And at the same time,
While being a part of this great movement,
Let yourself and your mind be still while movement is around.
And as you stay,
Notice the breath happening by itself.
There is nothing in particular you have to do.
Just feel and know that this great movement is always inside you,
With you and around you.
This whole that we are a part of is always there.
We could not exist without it.
Even the concept of existing is only here because of it.
And when you have sat with this place,
This emotion,
This feeling,
The sensations or whatever comes to you for a while,
You can leave them when you like.
You can come back,
Open your eyes,
Wiggle your toes or move your fingers if you like.
But you can always come back.
