Hello and welcome to this 15 minute rest and reset session.
This is mindfulness facilitator Jeanne Johnson.
For the next few moments together we'll engage in a mindfulness practice focused on choice.
Let's begin by getting completely comfortable in your seated or reclined posture in a relatively low noise environment where you can allow the eyes to rest now.
Either closed or softly gazing downward.
For future practice sessions to make the most of our time together.
You might consider already having gotten completely comfortable before pushing play on your app.
For now,
To more fully shift our awareness into the practice and to help engage the body's relaxation response.
Please take three slow deep breaths with me.
On each inhale,
We'll briefly hold at the top.
And on each exhale,
Allow the natural sighing sound to be released.
Let's begin.
Inhale.
Completely filling the lungs.
And hold.
Completely emptying the lungs.
Again,
Inhale.
And hold at the top.
Once more.
Inhale,
Slowly and deeply,
Completely filling the lungs.
And holding at the top.
And exhale.
Continuing to breathe slowly and deeply.
I believe in life and in the self contained infinity of the present moment.
All that I am exists intimately connected to the infinite.
What was has passed.
Here and now what remains as memory shapes my perspective and ways I choose.
I have the innate ability to choose how I allow my experiences to shape and change me.
What is true for me is true for everyone and is also true for you.
You have the innate ability to choose how you allow your experiences to shape and change you.
Let's pause for reflection here and choose.
What lessons are you extracting from recently passed experiences and what choices will you make differently in the future?

And now pause in gratitude for what you now know and your own ability to make better choices.
And if you also choose,
Rewire and replace.
Begin to trade or transcend the lingering negative feelings surrounding your experience with a new found strength and confidence of what you now know.
This step may naturally inspire forgiveness.

You will know when to let it go.
Pay particular attention to any shifts in perspective,
Especially to if you begin to feel that what you gained outweighs what may have been lost.

Use this time to reinforce your choices.
Engage your imagination,
Envision and embody all the positives that may result from your new choice and perspective.
