The Buddha once said- “You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." Today’s theme is self-compassion. It's essential to show ourselves the same kindness and understanding we offer to others. Practicing self-compassion can help us cultivate a more loving and supportive relationship with ourselves. This can be challenging and hard to prioritize, and this is why we practice. The breathing practice today is the Compassionate Breath. This technique involves slow, gentle breathing paired with loving-kindness intentions and touch. It's a powerful way to connect with and nurture your inner self.

You yourself,

As much as anybody in the entire universe,

Deserve your love and affection.

The Buddha.

Hey,

Hannah here,

And I welcome and acknowledge you for being here.

Take a few cleansing deep breaths in through your nose and out of your mouth.

As you arrive.

If it feels safe,

Gently close your eyes and settle into your space.

Today's theme is self compassion.

It is essential to show ourselves the same kindness and understanding we offer to others.

Practicing self compassion can help us cultivate a more loving and supportive relationship with ourselves.

This can be really challenging and hard to prioritize.

And this is why we practice the breathing practice today is the compassionate breath.

This technique involves slow gentle breathing,

Paired with loving kindness intention and soft touch.

It's a powerful way to connect with and nurture your inner self.

Place one hand over your heart,

And the other on your abdomen.

Take in a few rounds of compassionate breath.

Slowly breathing in through your nose for a count of four,

Filling your lungs with gentle nurturing breath.

Exhale slowly breathing out of your mouth for a count of six,

Releasing any tension or negative self.

As you inhale silently say to yourself,

I am worthy of love and compassion.

And as you exhale silently repeat,

I release all self judgment and criticism.

Breathing in,

I am worthy of love and self compassion.

As you exhale,

I release all self judgment and criticism.

Breathing in,

I am worthy of love and compassion.

Breathing out,

I release all self judgment and criticism.

Breathing in,

I am worthy of love and compassion.

Breathing out,

I release all self judgment and criticism.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

As you continue this cycle,

Focusing on the soothing rhythm of your breath,

And the loving kindness intention.

If your mind wanders gently,

Bring your focus back to the breath.

Back to your intention.

Breathing in,

I am worthy.

Breathing out,

I release.

Think about how you can show yourself a little bit more compassion in your daily life.

What kind words,

Can you offer yourself.

What self care practices,

Can you incorporate to nurture your overall well being.

Gently floating your hands to rest on top of your heart.

Acknowledging the love and self compassion within.

Acknowledging all emotions and all experiences that you carry.

Because all of you matter.

Gently floating your eyes open and returning to the space,

Sending you love and self compassion.
