Namaste,
Sacred Soul.
I welcome you to a deep dive into your own divinity.
In the yogic system,
Our existence has five sheaths or five layers.
They are called the Panchakoshas,
Translated as the five layers.
Find a comfortable and undisturbed space to sit or lie down.
Close your eyes and bring a gentle smile with your lips.
Take a deep inhale and as you inhale,
Clench your fists,
Tense your toes and press your jaws together.
Exhale,
Slow and relax.
Inhale,
Clench your fists,
Tense your toes,
Press your jaws together,
Contract your muscles and as you exhale,
Let it all go.
Let's do this one more time.
Inhale,
Tighten your body and exhale,
Release and relax.
The first layer is called the Annamaya Kosha or the physical body.
Visualize your entire body.
Feel the weight of your body on the surface.
Become aware of your right leg,
The left leg,
Your pelvic area,
The lower back,
The middle back,
The upper back,
Stomach,
Chest,
Right hand,
Left hand,
Shoulders,
Neck,
Back of the head and your face.
Honor your entire body,
Your vehicle,
The daily miracles your body does for you.
Say a heartfelt thank you to this layer,
The Annamaya Kosha.
I now invite you to go deeper into yourself.
The second inner layer is called the Pranamaya Kosha or the energy body.
Honor your life force that flows through your breath and irrigates life into your physical body.
Breathe with awareness,
With reverence to the flow that is life itself.
Your breath is your constant companion.
You start breathing when you were born and when your breathing stops,
You cease to exist in this plane.
Can you breathe your next inhale with a sense of complete gratitude?
Can you also exhale with gratitude?
Say thank you to the breath and the life force in it.
Observe your breathing,
The inhale and the exhale.
Focus deeply,
Intentionally on your breath.
This breath that you inhale right now is carrying prana,
Your life force energy through thousands of energy channels in your body.
And right now,
These channels light up as energy whirlpools or energy centers called chakras.
Right now,
There is divinity at play in your energy body.
Hold space for this.
Notice this radiant energy and become aware of this magical energy body in you.
I'll hold space for a few seconds,
Until then I invite you to revel in the magnificence of your energy body.
The next deeper layer is the mano maya kosha or the mental body,
Thoughts,
Memories,
Feelings,
Temperament and attitude.
This layer is a melting pot of emotions in you.
The feeling part of you,
The mano maya kosha in you is home to all emotions.
And among all the wide range of emotions,
I encourage you to shine the spotlight of your awareness on the energy of authenticity,
Authenticity.
I invite you to mentally strip yourself of all the masks and arrive at the original authentic you.
I invite you to expand into authenticity.
Allow all parts of you to coexist,
All feelings honored,
Accepted,
Authentic without an agenda.
With a deep inhale,
Honor your being,
Smile and mentally say,
I accept myself just the way I am.
I accept myself just the way I am.
I'll leave you here for 30 seconds to linger in your authentic self,
Brave enough to accept every part of you.
The fourth deeper layer is called the vijnana maya kosha,
Which is your wisdom body.
This is one of your higher layers,
The seat of instincts,
Intuition and deep knowing.
I want you to bring your awareness to your ajna chakra or the third eye energy center.
Focus on the center of your eyebrows.
You don't need to move your eyeballs that might strain your eyes,
Simply mentally focus on the point at the center of your eyebrows.
All answers are within you.
Rise above the clutter of your feelings and emotions authentically.
Our innate wisdom lies right here.
Be the observer,
Rise above,
Become the mystic,
Purify,
Shed your connections to your attachments and connect to your third eye,
Your innate wisdom.
I'm going to leave you for about 40 seconds.
I want you to focus on your third eye chakra.
The innermost gem among all the layers is called the ananda maya kosha or the bliss body.
Your base nature as per the Hindu scriptures is ananda or bliss,
That's your core.
I invite you to experience this purest innermost core in you,
Ananda.
Connect to the joy in you,
Suspend all judgment and give yourself permission to step into this bliss portal.
I'll hold space for you for about a minute to connect with your true bliss,
Preparing to land in the here.
Become aware of the shape your body is in,
Aware of the sense of touch between your body and the mat,
Awareness to your surroundings.
As we gently close this meditation,
I recommend you to sit in silence for a few seconds after this practice before you get on with your other activities and whenever you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
