There is a sanctuary of inner calmness in each of us. Anxiety is a result of disconnection from this sacred space I call the inner temple. This meditation gently guides you to connect with this space and find your true presence, grace and freedom.

Often times,

A lot of our past trauma lingers on heavily in our present.

Its whispers of discomfort suddenly grip our stomach.

Or sometimes the weight of these untold stories constrict our hearts.

Our hearts then beat heavily yearning for a release from the maddening echoes of these past wounds that haven't healed.

Sometimes the future,

The sheer frightening uncertainty of it paralyzes us.

What ifs,

What ifs,

The worst case scenarios drown us in a flood of fear.

Through all this,

Remember my fellow traveler that you,

You my magical being have all the answers and the solutions within you.

Before you experienced the warmth and safety of your mother's womb,

The universe conceived you from stardust and cosmic wisdom.

You are priceless.

Remember my magical magnificent soul that inside you there is a sacred space,

A sanctuary of peace,

Bliss and joy.

All stress is but a disconnection from this sacred space inside you.

I call this space your inner temple.

Come with me on this journey inward,

A pilgrimage within to this sacred space.

Sit comfortably and gently close your eyes.

As we embark on this journey,

Acknowledge the waves of unease as they rise and fall inside you.

As you acknowledge this,

Allow the weight of all that emotional baggage gently release its grip over you.

Shrug your shoulders a little,

Roll your neck gently and really give permission to your neck and shoulders to find an easy relaxed pose.

Become aware of the gift of breath,

Your life force,

Prana as the ancient yogis called it.

Arrive in the now moment with a deep inhale,

Exhale and feel the release and relief in the breath that empties your belly.

Continue with your focus on the inhale with love and the exhale with a sense of release and relief.

I will leave you with your comforting breath for a minute.

Visualize a beautiful golden flame at the center of your chest,

Bright,

Radiant,

Steady and strong.

As you take your next inhale,

Allow the fresh breath to linger around your chest center,

Slowly and steadily.

With each slow,

Comfortable inhale,

Allow the light from this eternal candle from your inner temple slowly seep in and fill your being.

Allow the beautiful light to untie every emotional knot in you.

Allow the light into your darkest fears.

Let the light enter through the crevices of your broken heart.

This flame is your address,

Your spiritual identity.

It has the strength to face any difficulty life throws at you.

Embody this identity for a few breaths.

Feel the light fill your upper body.

See it lighting up your legs.

Visualize the light flowing through your arms.

Breathe deep as you recognize the resilience that resides within you,

My friend.

You are not defined by your anxieties,

But you are defined by the strength with which you face them.

And you face them once you connect with your inner temple.

Breathe in and breathe out as you allow this golden light from within you to expand into your chest,

Your belly,

Your neck,

Shoulders and your face.

Let your entire being be filled with this cosmic light from within you.

Be the light.

Find a confident calmness that emerges from this temple within you.

Soften to this you.

Befriend this new you.

I will leave you here for a few moments to really get to know this new you,

This light within you.

And really try and embody it,

Allow it to influence you.

My friend,

You are not alone.

Within you is the grace and the power that creates worlds and moves the planets in its orbit.

Your inner being is divine.

You are divine.

Now bring on a smile on your face and open your eyes as a new you.
