Welcome to your meditation to connect,

Align and expand.

Find yourself in a comfortable position,

Lengthen the spine,

Shut down the eyes,

Soften all the muscles in the face,

Unclench the jaw.

Bring your awareness to your breath,

Allowing the inhale to give you a sense of arrival here and the exhale to ground you in your space.

Now connecting with the breath,

Feeling the belly expand and soften with every inhale and every exhale.

Feeling the belly fill,

The low ribs,

The upper chest and as you exhale softening at the upper chest,

The lower chest and feeling that belly move towards the spine.

Just connecting with the natural rhythm of your breath here.

Notice how connecting with the breath brings you to stillness,

Allowing you to come into this present moment.

Connecting with yourself,

Turning inward.

Now moving on to find some alignment with the truest,

Most purest version of you.

So I invite you to bring to mind a lamp.

A lamp covered with five layers of scarves.

Feeling this lamp,

Noticing it in your heart space.

So just focusing on this lamp,

Knowing that those layers covering it are dimming the light.

So what we're going to do here is remove each scarf one at a time,

Revealing a brighter light.

A brighter light which is a symbol,

A representation of your purest,

Truest self.

So taking off that first scarf now,

Knowing that that scarf represents your roles.

The roles that you play in your family as a mom,

A dad,

A brother,

A sister,

A son,

A daughter or in your community as a friend,

A neighbor or in the workspace as a colleague,

Boss,

An employee.

Now moving on to the next scarf.

Removing that scarf and knowing that that scarf represents your patterns.

The self-sabotager,

The codependent,

The people-pleaser.

Now looking in at that heart space,

That light,

Taking off the third scarf here.

The scarf that represents your conditioned behaviors,

Your fears,

Your habits,

Your reactions.

Maybe noticing now that that light is shining a little brighter.

Taking off now the fourth scarf.

The fourth scarf that represents your experiences,

Your awards,

Your wins,

Your accomplishments,

Your disappointments,

Your losses and your letdowns.

Now finally removing that final scarf.

The scarf that represents your thoughts,

Your programmed ideas of who you think you are,

Those thoughts of not being good enough.

Letting that scarf float off,

Revealing all that's left,

Which is your most authentic,

Purest self.

The real you.

Now sitting with this light,

Maybe placing a hand on your heart space here.

You've come into alignment with the purest version of you.

Now feeling into the body,

Feeling that sense of expansion and openness,

Feeling the light shine brighter throughout the body,

Taking up the whole chest area,

Into your legs,

Your arms,

Taking up your entire body.

Feeling that expansion,

Witnessing all the sensations that expansion feels like in your body.

A tingling,

A pulsing,

A lightness and openness.

Really soaking it in,

Realizing here that you're not all those things and just coming into a connection,

Alignment and expansion brings you to your most authentic self.

Now gently bringing some movement to your fingers and your toes,

Opening up the eyes,

Coming back into your space here.

And I thank you for joining me for this practice.

Namaste.
