Heart activation breathing practice.

So when you're ready,

Begin by arranging yourself in a position of comfort and just relax and listen to my voice.

And you can be lying or sitting or standing,

That doesn't really matter.

Just make sure your hands are free and resting comfortably to start with.

So as you listen to my voice and start to relax,

I wonder can you close your eyes and really feel the chair you're sitting on.

Feel the temperature in the room,

The sounds,

Any feelings in your body and just say quietly to yourself that this is a time for healing,

For quiet,

For reflection.

And as you begin to relax into the space,

I would like you to take your right hand and place it on your chest,

Just to the left of the centre so that it covers your heart.

And as you do so,

I want you to start to focus on your breathing.

Concentrate on breathing in a nice,

Deep,

Comfortable rhythm,

Not forcing your breath,

Just comfortably deep,

Allowing yourself to let go.

And as you do this,

You will find yourself relaxing more and more with each comfortable breath.

And as you relax more and more,

You find your breaths may deepen and deepen.

Now with each breath in,

I would like you to feel that breath go through your heart.

Physically feel each breath in pass through your heart.

And with each breath out,

I want you to feel that breath passing through your heart again,

Physically passing through your heart as you breathe out.

Breathing in through your heart,

Breathing out through your heart,

Breathing in through your heart and out through your heart.

Breathing in through your heart,

Breathing out through your heart.

Excellent.

Because with each breath in,

You are breathing in calm,

Relaxed feelings.

And with each breath out,

You are breathing out all the stresses of your world and just letting them disappear out into the atmosphere.

And with each breath in,

You are breathing in calm,

Relaxed feelings.

And with each breath out,

You are releasing all concerns from your daily life and allowing yourself to become free from worry and stress.

And you may find with every breath,

You relax more.

And the more you relax,

The better you feel and the better you feel,

The more relaxed you become.

And this conscious breathing through your heart is important as you may be realizing it's allowing you to become so calm,

So relaxed,

So aware of a profound feeling of peace.

And when we concentrate on our breathing and allow it to filter through our hearts for as little as two or three minutes,

We allow our heart and mind to become aligned.

And this allows us to think clearly from both heart and head.

It allows us to think with an open mind and an open heart.

Now as you remain in this relaxed state,

Gently breathing in and out of your heart,

I want you to think of something or someone that you are truly grateful for or truly love right now.

That's right.

Bring something or someone into your heart and allow your heart to be flooded with the feeling of pure gratitude.

Bring your heart up,

Allowing you to feel the fullness of love and appreciation.

Now give that wondrous feeling a color or sensation.

And just for a few moments,

Stay here,

Really seeing and experiencing your breath flowing in and out of this profound place of gratitude and love.

Now in a few moments,

But not just yet,

We will leave this place of love and gratitude and slowly return to our normal breath and allow our awareness to come back into the room.

So take a big oxygenating breath in through your nose and just slowly start to bring your focus out from within to your surroundings.

Allow yourself to reconnect with the chair you're sitting on or the ground you're standing or lying on.

Become aware of the sounds,

The smells,

The temperature.

And just before you come back to full awareness,

Just gently thank yourself for taking the time to experience this wonderful heart activation breath practice.

A practice that aligns your heart and mind and allows you to experience true connection.

Now when you're ready and in your own time,

Gently open your eyes,

Allow your hand to drop from its heart position.

Just take a look around the room,

Become aware and come back to the here and now you never truly left.
