Hello,

And thank you for joining me here on Insight Timer.

You're about to give yourself some real self-love.

Touch is very comforting and healing.

This is your safe space to incorporate movement,

Breath,

And self-healing touch to open up and release.

Take this time to also be in tune to any points where you feel tightness,

Feel tension,

Use your own hands to heal your own body,

And to get to know your body more intimately.

It is your vessel your soul lives in,

So why not know it inside out and in every which way possible?

We're going to dive right in so we can ease into progress.

Whether you are sitting,

Standing,

Or laying down,

Please give yourself a hug.

Often you may not think you even need a hug,

But once you receive a hug,

Even from yourself,

It is very soothing.

It is healing.

So just try it.

Just do it.

Take your hands,

Cross them over the front of your body,

Caress your opposite arms,

Reach up to your shoulders,

Gliding your hands.

Going up and down,

Just embracing yourself,

Feeling your own skin.

Then start to give gentle,

Yet a bit firmer hugs or squeezes along your arms and shoulders.

Be in tune with any tightness,

Maybe feeling your shoulders.

Just embrace yourself,

Something so simple at your convenience that's free.

Just give yourself some love.

For this next part,

It's best to sit upright or stand if you are not already.

Uncross your arms and take your hands behind your neck as you gently massage your neck from the base of your head down.

Move your head gently and slowly in different directions as you massage to see what feels good to you.

Using your own hands to heal your own body,

Massaging all throughout the base of the skull,

Along there.

Up and down the back of your neck.

Now lower your hands and take your right hand to the left side of your neck,

At the base of your neck,

And start to give yourself a gentle massage there as you carefully tilt your head to the right.

Keep your neck long so you don't collapse into the stretch.

We want to loosen up and find space within our body.

Wash from the top of your neck all the way down throughout your shoulder,

Taking your time,

Deep breathing throughout.

Now realign your neck and head with the rest of your spine and let's give some love to the other side.

Letting that right arm return down by your side.

Bring your left hand to the base of your right side of your neck as you gently take your head and neck to the left now,

Feeling a stretch on the right side.

Massage from the top of your neck all throughout down your shoulder,

Up and down.

Notice a difference from one side and the other.

Taking touch,

The pressure of your touch to decompress and to release any tension.

Realign your head and neck with the rest of your spine.

Before ending the session and going about your day,

Give yourself another hug.

Give gratitude to yourself for taking this moment for some self-soothing touch.

Feel at yourself as you embrace yourself.

It's okay to feel good about yourself and smile proudly for all that you have accomplished,

All that you have overcome.

You are a warrior.

You are still here and you have survived 100% of your days in this lifetime.

Keep showing up.

The world needs you.

Return to this anytime you need to give yourself some self-love.

To finish,

Take one hand to your heart and one hand to your belly.

Feel the beating of your heart.

Feel the belly as it expands with air.

Heartbeat and breath are our connections to life.

Give love and gratitude to yourself for taking this moment to reconnect to your body and breath,

To your true self.

May we see the light within us.

May we see the light in all.
