There is a place in us that just knows.
Whenever you feel you have to make a decision or want to find the right answer,
But you might feel overwhelmed by all your thoughts and options.
Your inner knowing is a different source to get the right answer for you.
We all have this inner knowing.
It does not come from our heads,
It comes from deep within.
Often you may feel this knowing in your stomach or gut area or in your chest area.
Your inner knowing is your steering wheel for your right answer,
Your truth.
We access this knowing by first quieting the mind,
Then asking the question,
Followed by waiting for a response within your body or mind and finally trusting this answer.
Let us begin.
Sit comfortably with your spine erect,
Your hands comfortably loose on your legs or next to your side and gently close your eyes.
Take a moment to be clear what question you seek an answer for.
Formulate your question as a closed question,
Means the answer is either a yes or a no.
A good way to begin your question is using the words,
Shall I?
Now take a moment to become clear what your question is.
When you ask a question later on,
You may feel the answer either in your body or you have a clear picture or a thought rising in your mind.
If it is a yes,
It can feel like a sense of warmth or ease or a fluttery sensation or a wave of goosebumps or a sharp clarity.
If it is a no,
It can feel heavy,
Like a chill or even a little pain or ache in your body.
In order to calm and quiet the mind,
Let us do a short breathing exercise.
With the next inhale through the nose,
Tense your whole body,
Including your fists and facial muscles.
Then hold it for a moment and then relax all your muscles while you exhale completely through your mouth.
Let's do it together.
Now inhale and tense your whole body.
Hold it.
And now completely exhale through your mouth and relax.
Let's do that two more times.
Inhale and tense.
Hold it.
Exhale and relax.
Inhale and tense.
Hold it.
Exhale and relax.
Now allow your breath to flow naturally in and out through your nose.
Take a moment to briefly scan your body if there is any tension left from the top of your head all the way down to the tip of your toes.
Now put your attention to your inner space and mentally start repeating the words,
I know,
I know,
I know.
Repeat them effortlessly and gently.
Imagine these words are dripping into your inner space,
Unlocking your inner knowing,
I know,
I know.
Continue repeating I know effortlessly and gently for the next few minutes.
Whenever your mind drifts away to a thought or a sound in the environment,
Gently come back to repeating I know.
