Hello and welcome to this third eye meditation.
The third eye is a focal point in our spiritual expansion,
The development of our psychic or intuitive gifts.
And really the name third eye speaks for itself.
It is the third eye in which we take in the world around us.
It's where we read between the lines.
We see what not everyone chooses to see.
And developing this third eye awareness isn't something that happens overnight.
It isn't something that happens from doing just one meditation.
But if we put in the effort and the hard work,
It's something that grows with us over time on our spiritual journey.
So no matter which point you are at on your spiritual journey,
This meditation will be helpful in drawing all of your awareness to the third eye,
The anja,
The space just between your eyebrows.
It's going to really help you connect with that energy with your higher self,
With your intuition,
With your psychic gifts,
Whether you know if you have them or not,
They are there and they are just waiting to be unlocked.
So to begin this meditation today,
I invite you to sit comfortably.
If you are sitting up,
Making sure your back is supported and that you're going to be comfortable.
And if not,
Please lie down,
Whether that's on a yoga mat or in bed.
Knowing that our intention is to stay awake during this practice,
Not to fall asleep.
Please begin to connect with your breath as we take this journey to rebalance,
Reconnect with the third eye and maybe even start beautiful journey of development for yourself.
So just noticing how you're breathing right now.
And with that awareness,
You might even notice that you start to breathe a little slower just by being more aware of the breath.
It also shows us how unconscious our breathing becomes every day and that all you need to do is bring your focus back to the breath.
And it already knows it already desires this peaceful and restful feeling of slowing down,
Of connecting.
And just noticing how it feels when the air moves through your nostrils.
Focusing on that breath,
Lifting and lowering the belly as opposed to the chest.
Signaling to not only the body,
But the mind as well,
That this is a safe place to rest and connect.
It is a signal where we give permission.
We allow this moment for our body to truly rest.
And as your breath deepens,
Spreading that awareness all over the body and noticing if there's any residual tension being held.
Starting with your jaw,
Your face,
Noticing if you're frowning,
That you can smooth out the muscles of your face and relax the jaw.
Allow the shoulders to peel back from the ears when you're sitting up or allow them to press to the ground or the mattress beneath you if you're lying down.
Allowing the feet to just fall open.
You don't need to hold them.
You don't need to hold anything right now.
With every breath,
Your body is just unfolding into this beautiful place of surrender.
What a gift that is to offer yourself that space today.
And although your body is growing heavier and heavier as you breathe more deeply and more slowly,
There's also a lightness,
A lightness to the body and the mind when we let go of everything that we don't need to be holding onto right now.
You embrace this duality of what relaxation really is.
It is both heaviness and light.
It's all part of your expansion and your surrender.
You might be having some thoughts or feelings starting to raise their head and try and interrupt this time that you've set aside for yourself.
And that's okay.
We aren't here to judge those thoughts or feelings that want to take up time.
However,
We do give them permission to leave just for the time being.
That errand that you haven't got around to completing yet or that task that wants to be fulfilled,
It will be waiting for you.
You don't need to be thinking about it right now.
So any time those thoughts raise their head,
We acknowledge them.
We almost give them away from a distance.
We don't invite them to come over and whisper in our ear or speak closely to us.
We give them space.
We allow them to walk away because we can always come back to them.
There's nothing wrong with having some time away from those thoughts.
And so in this peaceful place of surrender,
Stillness,
Relaxation,
We start to draw our awareness in between our eyebrows.
The seat of the third eye chakra.
And it's interesting to note how it feels the moment we bring our attention to this very special place.
A lot of people are very sensitive to their third eye chakra and third eye activations.
So you might already be able to feel a slight tingling sensation in your brow,
Maybe pulsing or rippling.
You also might not be feeling anything at all.
And that's OK as well.
All we are doing is pointing every piece of awareness in our body to this focal point between the eyebrows.
And maybe you want to acknowledge exactly where this feels in order to really pinpoint that awareness.
And if you would like to do that,
I encourage you to just bring up one finger,
It doesn't matter which one,
And just press it gently between your brows.
Just for a few seconds.
And then lifting it away and allowing your hand to fall to your side again.
How did that feel?
When you used your touch.
To almost wake up the nerves,
The sensation around your third eye.
Just taking note of that,
What that feels like.
So although your eyes might be closed,
Please feel free to leave them open if that feels more comfortable for you.
But I do encourage you to have your eyes completely closed.
And what we're doing here is we're closing our eyes to the world around us so that we can open up our inner eye.
This eye that may never really open for us at the moment in our life.
This eye that feels like it's been begging you to open,
To expand,
And yet you haven't found the moment or the safety that you need in order to open that third eye.
So we close our eyes to the external.
And as we do,
We imagine that we are opening this deep inner eye that sits between our eyebrows.
Taking a deep breath.
Right now it might feel as though this eye is just small.
But as you breathe,
As you focus your attention on this space,
The eye will grow.
It doesn't matter how you see this eye.
You might see it as just a third version of the eyes you already have.
Or you could really focus on it appearing as a glowing purple light.
This ball of energy that's sitting between your eyebrows,
Looking for expansion,
Looking to grow.
Every breath that you take whilst you're focused on this space,
On that anja,
It grows.
The deeper you breathe,
The more present you are with this moment.
The more this purple glowing light will expand.
And it's okay to feel that expansion move across your forehead.
You can feel it growing,
That it's almost growing past your body.
It's moving not only in the world around us,
But deeply within us.
It's unlocking so much wisdom and intuition,
Inner guidance that's just been waiting for you.
That's been asking you to be allowed a moment to see things.
This eye that has been with you from the day you were born,
That might have been quietened for most of your life,
It's ready.
It's opening exactly as you ask it to.
It's waiting to receive.
Whether that comes in the form of messages or images or sounds.
I know that might sound crazy if it's an eye,
How is it hearing things?
But it is like a portal where we receive everything we need to know that is outside of this tangible,
Physical plane that we exist in.
So as you're breathing,
As you're focusing on this growing purple ball of energy and light that sits on your forehead,
What messages can be received right now?
Maybe you're seeing flashes of colour.
Maybe you're seeing things very clearly in your mind's eye.
Just take note of whatever it is you see.
It's okay if it doesn't make sense right now.
There will be time for you to reflect and journal after we've finished this meditation.
It's important that we don't question too much the things that we see when we are meditating because that's when we allow judgement to come up,
When our ego starts to get in the way of our growth.
If you feel called to,
Maybe you aren't seeing anything just yet or you would like to focus your energy even more intently.
With your eyes still closed,
Only doing this if it feels comfortable for you to do so.
If you feel any discomfort,
Just going back to where we were before.
With your eyes closed,
Begin to point your eyes towards the centre of your forehead between your eyebrows,
Pointing your eyes up.
Not doing it for long,
Just for a moment.
Directing that energy and then relaxing the eyes.
Making sure that we aren't pushing or straining,
We are just looking up gently and then relaxing the eyes once more.
Not doing it for long,
Just for a moment.
Not doing it for a moment.
Not doing it for a moment.
Not doing it for a moment.
Noting as we stay in this beautifully focused and intentional moment with our third eye,
Just seeing how these affirmations feel when they land with you.
Noticing where you really feel it in your body,
Whether you feel it in your third eye,
Whether it feels true to you right now or if it feels like something you need to work towards.
But mainly using these affirmations to help rebalance the third eye.
To create this welcoming,
Inviting space,
Our intuition and our inner guidance to become a part of our everyday life.
I am wise.
I trust my intuition always.
I seek deeper understanding.
I am always connected to the wisdom of the universe.
I act in alignment with my higher purpose and in accordance with my highest good.
I open myself to new experiences.
I am present.
My imagination is vivid and powerful.
I am living as my most authentic self.
My inner wisdom guides me always.
I can see and think clearly.
I am observant,
Thoughtful and perceptive.
All that I seek,
I can find within me.
I release doubt and judgment.
I embrace transformation.
I surrender control and allow the universe's loving presence to guide me.
My inner knowing always knows the way.
I am considering for a moment if any of those affirmations really spoke to you more than any other.
I invite you to really hold on to that.
Whether it was because it felt uncomfortable or because it felt so true down to your soul.
And as our breathing becomes just evenly paced without too much focus being paid to it.
We start to move back to the physical world.
We allow that awareness around our third eye to dim once more.
Not meaning that we're closing it but we are moving back into reality and we don't want to leave a window wide open.
Moving away from this deeply internal journey we have taken.
Beginning to wiggle the fingertips.
Waking up the toes.
Maybe turning onto your side if you've been lying down.
Just taking a few moments before you carry on with your day.
To contemplate how that felt.
Maybe even journaling what came up for you,
What visions you might have seen,
What colours,
What emotions came up.
Just slowing the pace and knowing that you don't need to rush to get back to your day.
And if it's night time,
Maybe just allowing yourself to go to sleep.
But when you wake up I encourage you to notice if you had any dreams.
What happened in these dreams.
Because we've just begun a journey of really opening this powerful portal to transformation for you.
And keeping track of what comes up is an important part of this spiritual journey that we are all on.
