Hello and welcome to this channeled guided meditation for connection with Mary Magdalene.
If you are looking to connect with her wisdom,
Her love and her energy,
This is a wonderful place to start,
But it is also an opportunity for the expansion of a connection you might already have with Mary Magdalene.
So let me invite you in this moment to create your sacred space.
Maybe taking this opportunity to ask yourself what does a sacred space look like and feel like to you.
To some it might be lighting some incense,
Surrounding themselves with crystals or talismans that hold significance.
I know for myself,
When I am connecting to the energy of Mary Magdalene,
Rose is the place where I start.
Rose essential oil or rose petals,
Even rose incense can be a really beautiful way to begin to set the tone of the meditation we are about to begin.
And so as you contemplate what the word sacred means to you when you meditate,
Also finding a position that feels comfortable,
Whether that is seated or lying down,
Or maybe even tucked up in bed prepared for sleep.
You are invited to,
Only if it feels comfortable to do so,
To open up the hips in butterfly posture,
Drawing the feet together and allowing the knees to fall to the side.
This is completely optional.
Of course,
If it feels uncomfortable,
Please find a position that is a source of comfort to you.
And as you get comfortable,
Closing the eyes,
Placing one hand on the heart and one hand on the womb space and just take a deep breath into the body and then allow it to slowly,
Slowly exhale,
Maybe even sighing gently to release any tension that you've been holding on to really arriving here in this moment,
Trusting that you have found your way here for a reason.
And I set the intention in this moment for you to receive whatever wisdom or healing or comfort that you are seeking from this time that we are about to spend.
And so we begin by focusing on all of our attention on power of the breath.
She invites us to recognize that although we might be practicing this meditation alone,
That there is a sense of sisterhood intrinsically connected to every person listens and engages with the same meditation.
And so as you begin to breathe,
She wishes you to remember that you are not alone.
You are.
And as we breathe,
Beginning to move the breath from the chest down into the abdomen and then even further down as though we are breathing into our womb,
Focusing on that rise and fall of the belly,
Expansion and contraction of the of the abdomen and focusing that breath,
The sensation of the air as it enters the nostrils and as it leaves the,
Not rushing through your breaths,
But recognizing that it is in the slowing down where we truly can connect with ourselves and with a healing energy.
It is amongst this slowness where we can truly hear any messages,
Any guidance.
It is in the slowness where we find safety,
Security.
We're actively engaging with our body's own ability to regulate the nervous system.
And as you breathe and you notice yourself become more relaxed,
She asks that we recognize the magic in this simple act,
The magic of our own body's wisdom.
And what a very special reminder that is.
We are capable of calming ourselves just through our breathing.
And it is in this act state where our connection begins.
As your breathing has become slower and your awareness has moved down into the rise and fall of the belly,
Bringing all of that awareness to where your hand is placed on the womb.
If your legs are open in a butterfly posture,
Noticing if you can send the energy from the soles of your feet where they may be touching,
All the way up your ankles,
Calves,
Your knees,
Softly moving up the inner thighs to your pelvis,
Your hips,
And ultimately your womb space.
And as you breathe,
You focus the energy gathering,
The energy coming together,
This power that gently builds that she wishes for us to see as our sacred portal.
Portal is the perfect word to describe this space.
It is where we journey between worlds,
From the womb of our mother until we arrive earth side and take our first breath.
It is the gateway in which we travel,
Whether it is through the birth canal,
Through the abdomen,
We all journey from the womb and she asks that we meet her there.
Breathing into the space,
Creating this opening and expanding,
A spaciousness perhaps has been lacking and as we feel that energy build with every breath,
With every moment of strong awareness of this space,
We feel the muscles and the tension in our hips,
Our pelvis,
Our sacral,
We feel that melt away.
And as we breathe,
We are increasing this blood supply and as we increase that blood supply to our abdomen,
Our reproductive organs,
Our nervous system to calm,
Allowing space for other sensations or emotions to come.
And so she invites you in this moment as we sit.
Blissful awareness and unity with our womb space is coming forward for you.
First word comes to mind as you focus all of your attention to your womb space.
Positive,
Negative,
Neutral,
No matter the word,
Speak it out loud.
Move it from inside the body to outside of using this powerful energy as a gateway to expression,
Allowing her to hear you,
Allowing her to come into your energy field and help you move with whatever feeling,
Emotion,
Or thought,
Or memory is rising to the surface.
She is with you,
She is with us all.
And she brings forward an image of a tightly furled rosebud,
Just as it is beginning to emerge from amongst the leaves of a rosebush.
It's tense,
It's tightly held together,
Just waiting for the space and the right moment to gently open,
Expand,
Unfurl.
She brings forward this image for us today to see our hips,
Our pelvis,
Our womb space as this slowly unfurling rose.
It cannot be forced,
It cannot be rushed.
Layer by layer it opened,
Welcomed,
And it shares its beauty with the world.
As you imagine this unfurling rose flower,
You might notice other emotions start to come up.
You feel your hips relax a little bit more,
Maybe your knees are now resting on the ground or the bed beneath you,
And you are just open,
Open to receiving healing and the messages brought to you here today.
And so let's take a few moments to sit with that feeling together,
Remembering to breathe,
Remembering that you can hold yourself through anything that comes to the surface,
And when you feel like you can't,
Invite her in,
Ask her to hold you.
And you might begin to notice that after sitting these emotions for some time,
If there was any numbness or pain,
Stiffness occurring,
Might be changing into an increase in sensitivity,
You might even start to feel warm and pleasurable,
Noticing if you are experiencing a shift from maybe more negative sensations into more positive and enjoyable ones,
You are an alchemist.
You are alchemizing,
Transmuting,
And changing the way that your body feels in this moment.
Just by being with yourself,
By inviting in the wisdom and the healing energy of Mary Magdalene to help you in this space holding,
Alchemizing emotion or memory or sensation,
Just by being present,
By not avoiding,
But by becoming the observer,
Witnessing and allowing her to witness any pain or suffering alongside you.
And if you haven't noticed a shift from these negative emotions to more positive ones,
That's okay.
It takes time and it takes patience and awareness in order to process complex things that we might store in the womb space,
Stuff that might not even belong to us.
The traumas,
The emotions,
Physical hurts that we may be inherited through our lineage,
That are stored in our DNA,
In our womb space particularly.
And so do not hold yourself to a particular standard.
There is no right or wrong because we are all on our own individual journey and she really,
Really reinforces that we remember that.
That we might have to keep returning to witness to witness other things that need to shift and move through our body.
But today is a start,
Today is the beginning.
For some of you it's supporting you on a journey that you're already on,
But allow comparison to just bringing the awareness and the breath back to the pelvis,
Back to the womb space and noticing if the feelings feel the same,
If they feel less,
If they feel more positive,
And just acknowledging them wherever they are,
Wherever you are in this moment.
She now invites you to turn over onto your side if it feels comfortable to do so,
Preferably on your left side,
That feminine pressing against the earth or the surface which is supporting you.
Placing a pillow between your knees if you are able to do so and placing your hands in whichever position feels most comfortable,
Almost as though we are the earth supporting below us and just lying on our side taking a few breaths in this new position.
And as we lie here inviting in Mary Magdalene to soothe and help clear away any stagnant energies that are lingering after we've taken some time to sit with potentially uncomfortable or painful feelings or memories.
And she shows an image of standing or lying behind us and she notes the curve of the spine and the science and magic of the central nervous system that runs down the spinal column and the base of your skull all the way down.
And if you feel comfortable for her to do so,
She's just going to gently stroke down the spine,
Comforting touch,
A gentle reassurance of her presence,
Showing you how supported and held you are,
Knowing that you can ask her to be with you whenever you have need,
Not just in these specific moments where we all come to,
But maybe lying in bed at night and you're feeling alone or you're feeling afraid or anxious or disconnected from yourself.
You can just lie in this position and ask her to bring you some comfort,
These soft gentle strokes down the spine as though with her touch she reminds the body and the spirit that everything is okay.
You are safe,
Loved,
You are so loved.
You might even begin to feel sleepy as we often do when we feel really safe and held.
And so if you are,
That's okay.
You can fall asleep and she'll continue to just soothe you.
You might even ask her to brush your hair,
Just gently stroke the crown of your head.
And if you feel comfortable inviting her to bring her hand to your womb space and maybe you place your hand and together we are all collectively placing our hands on our womb,
On our womb space,
On our hips or pelvis and we are just being with ourselves with any and all emotions that come to the surface.
Acknowledging that even if you no longer have a womb,
There is still the energy inside of you.
There is still the womb space and asking as she has her hand placed next to yours.
Channel the energy of the universe that is all to clearing away stagnant energies that no longer belong to us.
To help us rid ourselves of the stories that we keep telling ourselves that no longer serve us.
To provide peace and safety within our bodies.
Help us move forward painful memories.
Help support us in the softening,
Opening and the deeper connection and our own ability to heal.
And from this position sending so much gratitude to the divine feminine wisdom of Mary Magdalene for joining us in our sacred space.
Thanking her for her ability to not only witness us in all the raw versions of who we are but also in her ability to hold us when we struggle to hold ourselves.
Thank you for being a part of this meditation today.
As we come to a close,
Beginning to wiggle your fingertips and your toes slowly into a seated position.
We'll be taking some time to journal about what came forward today.
But equally if you are feeling deeply rested,
Relaxed,
Take some time to stay lying down and just have a little longer to be with yourself.
