If you are feeling overwhelmed by the emotions of heartache, or are looking to dedicate some time to self care, then this meditation is for you. In this meditation we will create a space for you to be present with emotions that rise to the surface, allowing them to be felt and released in your own time.

Hello and welcome to this guided meditation for healing a broken heart.

Before we begin,

I invite you to find a comfortable space,

Allowing yourself to fully immerse in this moment of self-care.

Maybe that means cozying up in bed with your favorite blanket and cuddly toy,

Or lying down on the sofa with plenty of cushions and a hot water bottle.

However you feel most comfortable and comforted.

Closing your eyes and taking a deep cleansing breath,

Let's begin.

As with all meditation,

We should always start with our breath.

Inhaling deeply and feeling the air fill your lungs.

Exhaling slowly,

Imagining that as you inhale you're inhaling lightness and positivity,

And as you exhale you are releasing any pain or sorrow.

Knowing that each breath is an opportunity for renewal.

Slowing down your breath as much as possible,

But still remaining comfortable.

And if you've been crying,

Being gentle with yourself knowing that it might take a little time for your breath to settle down again.

Bringing your awareness as you breathe slowly and gently to the feeling of the support beneath you.

Whether that is your bed,

A chair,

The sofa,

The ground.

Just noticing the feeling of it as it touches your body and imagining that roots are growing from you and anchoring you into the present moment,

All the way down into the earth.

And it is with the visualizing of these roots anchoring you,

You can trust that you're completely safe here and in this safety you will find the healing that you are searching for.

And taking a few breaths to solidify the image of those roots and settling in to the moment.

And now that we're hopefully feeling anchored and grounded,

Let's allow ourselves to acknowledge the emotions that are dwelling within us at this time.

Gently recognizing the pain,

The sadness and whatever emotions are accompanying your broken heart.

Just noticing them without judgment and knowing that it is okay for us to feel these feelings.

But just for now,

Instead of feeling yourself become wrapped up in them,

Let's observe them from some distance,

From this very grounded and settled place that you have found yourself in.

For example,

As you check in with yourself you might notice,

I feel some resentment.

Okay,

I acknowledge that presence.

I feel deep heartache.

I see you,

I acknowledge the presence of heartache.

If you feel some emotions overcome you in the moment,

Knowing that that is okay.

It is okay for you to feel these feelings right now because it is in the feeling of them that you will be able to move through them.

Not past them but through them.

By giving them the opportunity to be felt,

You are not allowing them to hide themselves in places in your energy body or in the corners of your mind.

You're seeking resolution and that is what you can find.

With presence.

And it is with this intention of observation of our feelings that we begin to visualize a warm soft light surrounding our heart.

With each breath this light surrounding our heart will expand.

Any coldness that you might have been feeling in this heartache is replaced with warmth.

Any darkness you are holding in your heart space will be overcome by light.

Any heaviness you have felt in your heart will become lighter and you will be able to let go of all the burdens,

All of the heartache that it carries.

As you focus on your heart you may begin to feel tears coming to the surface and if you don't I want to open this space as a time,

As a moment for you to cry.

If you feel that's what you need.

But in this moment,

In this almost ceremony of sorts that we are having together,

I want you to recognize that tears are healing waters.

They are a way for our body to express and release deep sadness from inside of our body to the external world.

And so if these healing waters,

These tears,

Gently fall down your cheeks,

I want you to know that you are cleansing yourself.

You're releasing residual pain,

Leaving only peace and love behind.

And as you allow these healing waters to flow from your eyes,

Listening closely to these affirmations,

I am worthy of love and I am healing.

With each breath I release the past and embrace the present.

I am resilient and my heart is on a journey of renewal.

Listening closely to this channeled healing message for your heart.

Beloved soul,

In the quiet whispers of your heart,

Hear the echoes of boundless love.

Know that you are a vessel of divinity.

Feel that pulsating rhythm of your heart,

Beating in time with the universe.

And in its cadence it finds the courage to embrace both the joys and the sorrows of life.

Allow your heart to guide you.

It is a compass tuned with the frequency of your soul purpose.

Trust the whispers of your heart for they carry the wisdom of lifetimes.

Holding on to love for yourself,

Knowing that you're deserving of your own love and kindness.

Love for this journey,

For its twists and its turns.

And knowing that every step of healing is a sacred pilgrimage back to the self.

You are a co-creator of your realities.

Embrace the vulnerability that comes with an open heart,

For it is invulnerability that true strength is found.

Embrace this healing journey with gratitude for every heartbeat is a reminder that you are a vessel of love and love is in the essence of your being.

When we're feeling heartbroken it can leave us feeling so hurt,

So affected,

That it makes us more inclined to close off our heart from the world.

I invite you to stay open even when it hurts.

Stay open,

Stay loving,

Whatever the circumstances that have led to this experience.

It is happening for a reason and all of the healing that needs to take place will unfold with time.

Knowing that you don't need to rush,

You can take these moments,

You can carve out these spaces where you tend to that pain you're experiencing in your heart space.

Time to be with yourself if you're experiencing the absence of another.

Healing is a process and you are so deserving of love.

Feel free to return to this guided meditation whenever you have the need and I will be here waiting for you to support you through this again and again.

In the meantime bring your attention back to your body and doing something today just for you that brings joy into your day.

Because although healing is about acknowledging our pain,

It is also about embracing happiness.
