21 Days Mindfulness Practice - Day 19
by Jain Sumit
Have you noticed that recently there is a whole new shift in how people look at their lives and it's kind of moving from self-improvement to self-mastery. Over the years as a coach to some of the most highly successful entrepreneurs in the world, I've developed a whole system focusing on particular types of concepts and strategies, which over a period of time, allows any individual in any Walk of Life to develop total self-mastery.

Hello,
This is Sumit Jain and welcome to day 19 of the 21 day meditation series.
We are in day 19 and this feels like it was just yesterday.
But I know that we are going to meditate for the rest of our lives together.
So it feels like it's been eternal all this time.
I've received loads of enquiries from people in regards to seeing colors during their meditations.
And I also have received feedbacks about people feeling sensations in different parts of their body and wanting to know what that means.
So I figured out that now would be the perfect time for us to do a chakra meditation.
Chakras are our energy centers in our body and we have approximately 108 in and outside of us.
But there are 7 main energy centers in our body and those start at the tail bone,
The tip of our tail bone,
The base of our spine.
That's the base chakra or the root chakra known in Sanskrit as Mooladhara.
The next chakra up is a few inches below your navel.
It's referred to as navel chakra,
Also the second chakra.
It is also known as the sex chakra.
And in Sanskrit it is known as Swadhi Satana.
This is your second chakra,
The centering chakra.
And the next chakra up is known as your solar plexus.
This is in the center of your belly,
In the center of your chest.
In Sanskrit it is known as Manipura chakra.
Further up is your heart and your heart is not off to the left side.
It's directly in the center of your body.
And when you are envisioning these chakras,
Envision them as huge 4 dimensional disks that are not just sitting there in that space but they are radiating out in every direction from that space of where they are.
So your heart chakra,
Also known as the Anahata chakra radiates in front and back,
Up and down at every angle.
As to all other chakras,
They are moving up a little further to the center of your throat.
That's the root throat chakra.
Right where your Adam's apple would be,
Also known as Vishuddha chakra.
And when we move a little bit further up,
Maybe an inch above your eyebrows,
And that's known as the third eye chakra,
Also known as Ajana chakra.
And then of course when you move your awareness to the top of your head,
The tip top of your head,
The crown chakra,
Known in Sanskrit as Sahaswara or the thousand petalled lotus.
So now that you know the 7 chakras and where they are located,
What we are going to do is bring our awareness to each chakra and we will envision its colors.
Because each chakra is associated with a different color and we will put our attention on that space and then bring our intention to that chakra.
To what that chakras particular power or purpose is.
And then we will chant the vibrations together.
Each chakra is having a different vibration sound and a different color.
And the vibrations are words like lam,
Wam,
Ram,
Yam,
Hum,
Sham,
Om.
There are different pronunciations for these mantras,
For the chakras.
But today we are going to use these 7 sounds.
So if your heart chakra is called yam,
If you like to say yam or yam,
You decide what works better for you.
And the same thing is for other chakras also.
Please don't feel that this process imposes anything on you,
From its intention to its colors to its pronunciations.
This is just meant to open you up.
So if you can surrender to this process,
You will feel more open at the end.
And then you can take it and do whatever you like with it going forward.
So let's begin.
We're going to do what's known as a chakra toning or chakra tuning.
And essentially what this does is,
It opens up our energy centers from the base,
The root of our spines,
Right straight through our entire body,
Through the crown of the head.
And when every one of these energy centers have been opened,
You're in a very,
Very different space,
A more expanded space,
A less constricted space,
And we're going to heal the body a little bit.
We're going to heal the mind a little bit.
And through this process,
We will connect with the source and the spirit.
So let's get comfortable,
You can lay down with your hands facing up or down,
Whatever feels comfortable to you.
But lay down on your back and that's the most comfortable way to do this meditation.
Take a deep breath in and gently let go.
And now let's bring our awareness to the root chakra.
The color is red.
This is your connection to groundedness,
To Mother Earth,
To centering and balance.
This is your connection to community.
This is your connection to foundations.
And the vibration of the Mooladhara chakra is LAM.
So let's chant that together.
Take a deep breath in.
LAM.
Bring your awareness to the deep red color,
To the connection,
To the physical aspects of existence.
And get grounded.
And if you've been flying all over the place,
Not feeling connected to anything,
Then this is it.
This is your connection chakra.
So chant together with me so that we can open that root up so you can receive more connecting energy into your life.
Let's do it once more.
Take a deep breath in.
LAM.
Let's move our awareness to the second chakra,
Known in Sanskrit as Swadhisthana.
This is the second chakra known as the sex chakra.
And it's a few inches below your navel.
And this is your connection to creativity.
Your creative aspects of self-emotional creativity,
Physical creativity,
Whatever is solution oriented.
Whatever you can birth,
Whether that's an idea,
A concept,
A relationship,
A perspective,
A product,
Whatever.
And the second chakra is pure chakra that springs everything.
And so this is our sex chakra.
And again,
This is not meant to be some sexual aspect of you,
But some creative aspect.
So if you're growing and evolving in any way,
If you're birthing anything,
It's coming from your second chakra.
Let's bring our awareness to our second chakra.
Let's bring our awareness to something with life like to bathe,
A little more creativity.
Let's chat that mantra together out loud.
And the mantra is VAM.
And the color is orange.
So bring your awareness to the orange color.
And take a deep breath in.
VAM.
Now gently drift your awareness from that orange colored sex chakra to the third chakra.
Our solar plexus chakra,
Which in Sanskrit is called Manipura.
This is a chakra for getting it done,
For following it through,
Driving through,
Whatever is blocking your way.
The color is yellow.
And the mantra is RAM.
So let's take a deep breath in.
Before we do that,
Why don't we bring to our awareness one thing that may be stuck,
Something that you're nagging,
Or something that you've just been dragging your feet or procrastinating in.
Bring that right to your solar plexus.
And vision that bright yellow on.
And take a deep breath in.
VAM.
Gently drift your awareness to your heart chakra,
Which is right in the center of your chest.
Remember the vibrations and the expressions of the chakra is extending in every direction,
From the non-local to the local.
And from the local to the non-local.
Everything from the ether,
The akasha,
To this feeling of the mind.
These physical rings.
And it is all connected through our chakras.
They're like toll roads that connect one highway with another.
So bring awareness to the heart.
You can place your hands on the heart.
When you do that,
Just feel that magnificent green glow that emanates from the heart chakra.
The heart chakra in Sanskrit is called anahata.
This is where your forgiveness,
Your compassion,
Your peace,
Your love,
Your expression of empathy and sympathy,
Your forgiveness.
It all rests here in the heart chakra.
And we can activate that just by bringing our awareness to enchanting the mantra that's connected with it.
So bring something to your heart right now that may be hurting you.
Maybe creating some emotional turbulence.
And the mantra is yam.
Let's chant that together.
Take a deep breath in.
YAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM now very very gently drift your awareness to your throat right in the center of your throat where your solar plexus is you can scratch that place now drift your awareness to your throat and right in the center of your throat where Adam's apple could be that's where the throat chakra or vishuddha chakra is the color is blue and the vishuddha chakra is the chakra of expression this is so amazing because if you've never given yourself permission to do something it's your throat chakra that got closed and got constricted and prevented you from breaking through or preventing you from giving yourself permission so let's get that opened up wide and the color is blue and the vibration is hum hum so let's chant them together and take a deep breath in hum accompanying your awareness to your third eye your ajana chakra and the color is purple this is your connection to the source to intuition this is your connection to discernment and you know what all the answers are when you channel the universe you don't even have to think in fact the answer to every question you could ever ask rests within us you just need to give permission to yourself to go there and answer that question this is our true connection to the spirit I've seen that lots of time new meditators they see the color purple and this really opens and expands our entire process the mantra for ajana chakra is sham so bring your awareness to something that you like a greater clarity in take a deep breath in and just let go now let's expand that clarity 10 times by chanting sham together take a deep breath in sham mostly of the seven main chakra centers the seventh chakra there is the crown chakra which is at the top of your head this is known as the suhas vara the thousand petaled lotus and the color is ultraviolet or white the vibration is home this is the chakra of infinite possibilities of limitless beliefs oneness of true unity so let's expand that chakra by expanding ourselves and by chanting oh take a deep breath in oh and all the seven chakras are open from the root chakra to the crown chakra just stay in this just play in this and vibrate in this just surrender in this and feel the energy flow through your body like it's never flowed before and remember to be gentle with yourself throughout the course of the day don't operate any heavy machines over the next few minutes slowly integrate this back into your life there's only one rule we have out here in the spiritual university no running to or from meditation so today make this your rule as well and for me it's been amazing transcending the chakras with you and from this point forward we are going to slow our meditations down and shorten them this was the longest meditation over the last 19 days and it will be our longest in the 21 day series and hopefully you will find this of value in your life from the sweet spot of the universe this is smith and on behalf of the spiritual university family and thousands around the world who are joining us every day i wish you peace and namaste so you
