Being At Peace With What Is
by Sophie Auber
A beautiful meditation to accept and surrender to what is, to let life move through you and guide you. You will journey inward and feel all the spaces within that are not open to receive life, you will bring presence and awareness to these parts to let yourself be filled with life force and trust that this flow of life is guiding you to what is perfect for you at this moment.

Hello to you.
Welcome for this meditation,
Being at Peace with What Is.
This meditation is an invitation to surrender,
To surrender to life,
To surrender to life moving through you,
To let yourself be filled with life,
With life force energy,
With breath,
To let your life be moved by this life moving through you.
Learning to observe wherever you get in the way,
Wherever you have resistance,
Wherever you stop the flow of life to move through you for whatever reason.
It might be fear,
It might be stress,
It might be doubt,
I need to control,
Which usually is fear,
Which is usually driven by fear.
When there's fear we want to control,
We want to control life,
We want it to be a certain way,
We want it to go a certain way.
And we're not allowing life to be exactly as it is.
We're resisting,
We're closing down,
We're retracting,
We're contracting.
And in this meditation I invite,
My invitation,
My intention is to guide you to open the space within,
To surrender to your breath that moves through you,
That animates you,
To open the spaces within,
To observe where you are still holding back,
Holding,
Contracting.
And to choose to soften,
To trust,
To open,
To open your heart,
To open to life.
So I invite you to find a comfortable place where you can either sit down or lie down.
The important thing is that you are comfortable,
That you can release and soften and relax.
It's difficult to open to life if we are uncomfortable in the first place.
So just take your time to really find the position that's going to be the best for you in this moment.
And just allow yourself to lie down if you have physical pain somewhere or if sitting is uncomfortable.
And when you're ready,
I invite you to close your eyes and just turn your attention inward,
As if you could turn your eyes to look inward instead of up.
And start to notice how you are in this moment,
How you are feeling.
What's present within?
What are you aware of?
Any sensation?
Any colours?
Images?
Feelings?
Any thoughts moving through your mind?
Just become aware in a welcoming and curious way.
Be curious to what's there.
There's no preference,
No judgement.
And whatever you observe or feel,
Just let it be.
It moves through you.
Don't fix it.
Don't try to fix it.
Don't freeze it.
Just observe.
Okay,
There's a thought moving through you.
I don't have to focus on it.
I can just slowly move,
Be like a cloud passing in the sky.
And if there are sensations in your body that are tight,
Dense,
Contracted,
I invite you to bring awareness onto those parts of you,
Parts of your body.
You're going to start to connect with your breath.
So maybe that's the first thing,
Connect to your breath.
Surrender to it.
Let it be as it is.
Don't try to manipulate it,
Make it a particular way.
Just let it be.
Let it move through you.
Let yourself be bruised by that.
And observe how you breathe.
Is it in your belly,
Is it in your chest,
Is it moving through you freely?
Are there spaces where you can feel it in your body and spaces where you can't feel it?
Just take a moment to just observe your breath,
How it moves through you,
And which part of your body you are being bruised,
And which part aren't being bruised.
And if there are parts that are not being bruised,
That are kind of quiet,
Not receiving the breath,
You can just bring awareness to those parts and just set your intention,
Invite your breath to move there.
And you can imagine your breath as a ray of light,
A laser beam,
And then you can just let it flow as if light is flowing into that area,
Flooding that area with light,
Presence,
Your presence.
Wherever you focus your energy and intention,
Energy will go.
Wherever you focus your inner gaze,
Energy will flow and flow.
So if you feel your left arm,
For example,
Isn't very alive with your breath,
How can you just focus your attention,
Bring your presence into your arm and invite the breath life to move through your left arm.
And see this light flooding through your left arm,
Filling it up.
I invite you to repeat this in any part of your body where you feel your breath is not moving.
Which part of your body are not being filled with breath,
With life force energy.
You're learning to let life move through you and into it.
Feeling you up to expanse you,
To open you.
I invite you to feel the pulsation of the breath.
Each time you notice that you're breathing in,
The sense that your whole body expanse,
Let that breath move through you from the center to the peripheral,
From the inside to the outside,
The center to the peripheral.
If you're being flooded with breath,
With light,
With presence in all directions.
Each time you observe your breath,
Your breath,
Your breath out,
It is that everything releases back towards your center and is being invited to relax,
To soften.
The more soft and relaxed you are,
The more your body surrenders,
The more you are able to receive,
To embrace the light,
The more you are letting yourself re-breathe.
Let your breath be,
Don't force it to embrace.
Whatever way you breathe,
Don't go,
Just let it be.
And if a thought comes in the way,
You can breathe into it and just feel like you're just enveloping it,
It's light,
It's a presence and you're surrendering to it by accepting it,
Being okay with it,
Not resisting it,
Just surrendering to what it is,
Just being those ways,
Trusting that there is perfection in each moment,
That everything is just perfect as it is.
The more you surrender,
The more you trust,
The more you relax,
And the more life moves through you and can guide you and show you the way,
The more you access you in your wisdom,
In your inner guidance.
And of course parts of us are getting in the way because of our conditioning,
Because of our past,
Because of our fears.
So it's important to start to notice how this manifests in your body,
By tension,
By parts that are shut down,
Closed,
Like almost quiet,
And speak to you.
You can start to invite life into those parts,
To imagine that you unblock them with your love and presence,
And you're just accepting those parts.
Whether you know what they present or not,
It doesn't matter.
There's tension somewhere and you just breathe into it and imagine you bring light and love and you're hoping that tense part is your love and acceptance,
Compassion,
Light.
And just watch this part just soften because it is being recognized,
Acknowledged,
Because it is being loved by you and not resisted and not rejected and not pushed away,
Which is usually what we do.
So learn to love all those parts of yourself,
Whatever texture they have,
Whatever shape they have,
Whatever colour,
However they feel to you.
Comfortable,
Uncomfortable,
Loving,
Painful.
How can you love all those manifestations,
All those parts of yourself that manifest as tightness or pain?
Learn to love even your pain.
Welcome it,
Thanking it,
Thanking it,
Giving gratitude to all the spots that are coming up to be seen by you.
Stay connected to your inner world,
Inner landscape,
Inner landscapes.
Be present to what is.
Welcome it all and surrender to life,
Moving through.
Let yourself be moved,
Be breathed,
Be guided by this intelligence that moves free,
Which is life,
It's consciousness,
Divine energy,
Whatever you call it.
So you can carry on this meditation for as long as you want or need.
Thank you for giving yourself this time,
Your attention.
You can thank yourself or offer some gratitude and remember to do this each time you are managing to be with yourself,
To offer yourself love and attention.
It's so important to support.
We are encouraging ourselves,
Encouraging ourselves to be loved.
Thank you very much.
