Gently welcoming you to this moment,
Inviting you to find a position that you'll find the most comfort in today.
Maybe taking a moment to pause here,
Lying down if that's available to you.
Maybe reaching for your favorite blanket,
Allowing yourself to find comfort and to be as cozy as possible as we come into this moment today.
As you start to settle in here,
Offering you to turn your attention to your breath,
Giving yourself some time to just be here and to just breathe.
If it feels right,
Maybe deepening your inhales,
Allowing it to fill every part of your body and allowing your exhales to remind you that breath is similar to life and there are cycles.
Things come and they go.
Inhaling here and exhaling out,
Allowing the breath to really ground you down into this moment.
Softening in your body,
Maybe noticing any sounds that are in the room around you,
Any creaks and cracks,
Maybe a low vibrational humming coming from within your walls,
Allowing these sounds to remind you that you're here.
Maybe now shifting your attention and noticing any sensations surrounding your body.
Maybe the soft feelings of the garments you're wearing touching your skin.
Maybe the feeling of the ground beneath you or whatever is beneath you supporting your body,
Allowing yourself to feel light.
As we turn inwards,
Checking in,
Maybe coming here today looking for comfort from a moment of anxiety.
Gently observing this anxiety,
Bringing it forward in the observing mind.
What does this anxiety look like?
Taking a moment here to describe it to yourself.
Maybe next noticing what does this anxiety feel like?
And perhaps taking into account where do you notice the anxiety in your body?
Maybe it lives in your mind in the version of ruminating thoughts,
Contemplating the future,
Asking the questions of what ifs.
Maybe you feel it heavy in your chest,
Deeply rooted,
Making it harder to breathe at times.
Preparing you for a battle ahead,
Maybe over preparing you at times.
Maybe you feel it deep in your stomach,
In your gut,
Maybe it's existing as an unshakable gut feeling,
An impending doom that you just can't quite seem to find the answers for.
There is no right or wrong answer and this looks different for everyone.
But the simple act of noticing where you feel your anxiety allows us to come into the understanding that anxiety is a presence.
It is not our entire being.
We are not our anxiety.
Breathing here,
Always remembering your breath as tuning into these spaces can feel heavy.
And as you picture your anxiety,
Maybe asking yourself,
What do you want to tell your anxiety?
If it could speak,
What would it say?
And what would you say back to it?
I know you're trying to help,
But I've got this.
Or thank you for allowing me to think through all my options.
But worrying is hurting more than it's helping at this point.
And it's time for you to be on your way.
Or maybe it's something as simple as,
I don't completely understand you or why you're here.
But I do know that I trust myself to take the next step forward.
Again,
Breathing here.
Allowing your exhales to carry this presence of anxiety.
Maybe breathing it out as needed.
Noticing that as we talk to our anxiety,
We're encouraging self-compassion.
Not meeting it with anger.
But speaking to it lovingly.
Young Pueblo says,
Healing isn't about becoming the best version of yourself.
It's about letting the softest parts of you be seen and loved.
Maybe gently placing a hand on your heart.
Tapping into a feeling of love.
Inviting you to shift for a moment and think about someone who you love deeply.
Something you love to do.
And maybe even tuning into the feeling of what it feels like when you know that someone loves you deeply.
Allow that feeling to grow.
Feel its warmth.
See its light.
Really extracting that love from your heart.
Can you give your anxiety this love?
Remembering where you feel that anxiety in your body.
Sending all of that warm love to that place.
Continuing to breathe.
You are human and anxiety is a human emotion.
And as humans we need love.
Can you give your anxiety the love that it needs?
What does it feel like to love?
Knowing that in these moments of anxiety,
As they come and they go,
That self-love tapping into the heart and this compassion for yourself is one of your biggest strengths to carry you through.
Maybe taking a couple more moments here to really feel that warmth from your heart.
To envision your anxiety surrounded by this warm,
Soft glow of light.
If your hand is still on your heart,
Maybe taking a moment to put it back by your side with your palms facing upwards.
Maybe feeling your skin on your palms start to cool down.
This moment in time is such a gift.
And you have taken great care of yourself just by being here.
Starting to gently again notice the room around you.
Coming back into your space.
And taking all the time you need before opening your eyes.
Resting here for a couple more moments if you choose.
Knowing that you can always come back to this place.
And find that restorative peace.
Because it lives within you.
Thank you for being here.
May you go with peace,
Love and light in your heart.
Thank you.
