Welcome to the Soul Infused Monday show today number 252,

The true power of meditation and three myths about meditation that you want to stop believing from now on.

I'm going to take a moment to become present with you.

If you are already watching,

Use the opportunity to take a nice deep breath to remove any distractions,

Maybe to grab a pen and a paper to take notes.

Just take a moment to connect with yourself to become present,

Whatever was going on just a minute ago,

To be fully present here and now in your body,

Relax your body.

I want to give some context and a disclaimer so that what I'm sharing makes sense in terms of what type of meditation I am talking about.

When I talk about meditation,

I talk about energy based meditation that has a certain purpose,

A certain,

Let's say technique or methodology,

And incorporates also the four flows of energy.

There are so many different types of meditation techniques,

There is not one necessarily better than the other or the you know,

There's so many different ones.

So I want to be clear that I'm talking specifically about the type of meditation that I've been teaching and also practicing myself for over 20 years.

And I'm going to share a few of the things that make this particular type of meditation so extremely powerful,

Some of the challenges and some of the myths that are actually not true,

That I keep seeing that people are struggling with,

Even if in any other type of meditation,

Those myths might be true.

And if you've been following me for a while,

You know,

I talk about meditation all day long about energy based meditation about energy in general,

Because that's,

That's my expertise.

And if you wonder why should I even listen to this,

I've been meditating for now for myself for 20 plus years,

I've been teaching this for a very long time meditation has helped me to save my day save my life many times.

And I have my clients who learned and are practicing the same type of meditation have incredible results.

I'm not sharing this necessarily to brag,

I'm just telling you,

You're in good hands when it comes to energy based meditation.

Before I share the first myth that you should stop believing,

Let me tell you very briefly,

The purpose of the type of meditation that I'm talking about many other meditation techniques might have similar purposes.

From an energetic perspective,

The meditation helps you to come in and back to yourself to get centered and grounded within yourself.

But from an energetic perspective,

It's much more than that.

It's really building your core channel building the foundation to have a vertical alignment,

Meaning instead of only being hooked into the lower chakras into the instincts,

The wounds,

The emotions,

Underneath a mud,

So to say the energy based meditation is bringing the energy in and helping to repolarize to bring the energy up to raise the vibration to come to a higher level of consciousness to reach up to the third eye to come up to the crown and to reconnect and to connect to your higher self to the higher frequency of your being beyond just the lower vibration.

Of course,

I'm only touching touching the surface here.

If you have more questions around it,

Reach out to me and I talk about this a lot.

But it's important to understand the true power of this type of meditation is not only that it is a moment of potential calmness,

Centeredness,

Peace,

It's building a new system within you.

It's growing like building a muscle that is going to help you be stable and having a solid foundation deep within in your core in your energy system and connected up.

And even only talking about it and if you follow what I'm saying,

Even just because I've been doing it for so long,

Even just the intention to lift up even just sitting in vertical alignment and having the focus on repolarizing up is so super powerful.

I want to talk about real brief about why guided meditation is also so powerful,

Especially energy based meditation,

And it incorporates also one of the myths.

So I'm going to talk about this together.

Why is energy based meditation so powerful?

And if it's something that you are not used to do daily,

If it's not a practice that you have incorporated deep within on a regular basis,

And you are not struggling,

That's fine.

But if this is something that you have not as a daily routine,

And you struggle somehow to sit there and to meditate,

The power of energy based meditation,

Especially if it's guided,

It's because even if your mind gets distracted,

Or is busy,

Or is thinking something else,

Your energy will follow.

Now the first myth and you might have heard this many times.

And sometimes we need to hear things a lot of times.

One of the biggest myths in meditation that I hear people come to me and saying this is not working for me,

I have such a hard time is because they believe,

Because it's a myth out there,

That meditation is about emptying your mind and to stop thinking.

I'm sure you have heard something like this before,

Empty your mind,

Stop thinking,

Quiet in the mind.

That is something that is impossible,

To a certain extent,

Because the mind,

The mind's job is to think,

Stop thinking now.

I'm just telling you just stop thinking.

Stop thinking.

Can you just stop thinking?

It's not that easy,

Because it's its job to think.

And there's nothing wrong with it.

There are many things that we can do with the mind.

We can focus it in a different direction,

You can use it with consciousness to do things that you want to do.

You can choose certain thoughts,

And you can go beyond the mind.

However,

It's a myth.

And something that when you have that concept,

That meditation means you sit down and you stop thinking,

You're only gonna suffer because,

And I'm sure you've,

I'm pretty sure you've,

If you've ever meditated,

You have had that experience that you sit down,

And instead of being quiet,

You have this monkey mind,

It's thinking,

You go through your to do list,

You get totally uncomfortable because you think you don't have time.

So it's just the opposite of this image of it being calm,

Centered,

Quiet,

Nothing is happening.

So first of all,

Just let that go because that's not possible.

I mean,

Everything is possible.

So let me rephrase and use other words.

As much as your lungs are here to breathe,

And your heart is here and its job it is to make the heart beat,

The mind's job is to think.

It's its job.

You don't stop breathing when you meditate,

Your heart still keep beating,

You focus on something else.

That meditation is about stopping the mind,

Or stop thinking or emptying.

It's a myth that creates a lot of pressure,

A lot of expectations,

And a lot of this is not working for me.

When I sit down and meditate,

My mind goes crazy.

I'm curious,

Who can relate to this?

Has your mind ever wandered around and you thought,

Oh my God,

I should meditate and you kind of try and try hard to the point that you get up because it's not working.

So this is the first myth.

Stop believing that,

Let that go.

The mind will still be thinking,

Even when you're meditating.

There is more to it,

But this is super important.

The advantage of guided energy based meditation that incorporates everything I've spoken before is that even when your mind wanders around,

Even if your thoughts go somewhere,

Your energy will follow the meditation.

Because the mind and the thought is just one piece.

Your whole energy system is so much bigger than the mind.

If you're struggling and you think your mind is in the way of meditation,

Sit,

Listen to something and every time you get distracted,

You bring yourself back and trust that your energy is still following.

Your energy is still following the meditation.

So that's the power also of energy based meditation.

So the first myth that meditation is supposed to clear,

Empty,

Silence the mind,

That creates a lot of pressure.

It is its job to think.

And of course,

I'm kind of like tuning in how much more I'm going to say to this because of course there's so much more to say.

For me,

It's more going beyond the mind.

The repolarization is to go above the mind,

Beyond the mind,

And you connect to consciousness,

To your soul,

To something higher.

And the mind can still think and you also can guide your mind.

You can consciously choose to use your mind in meditation to do something.

But if it would be so easy,

Don't you think this world would look different?

Because how often have you heard the power of the mind,

What you think is the most important.

Now if it would be so easy to shift your mind,

And to focus differently,

You would do it all day long.

But the mind is very undisciplined and untrained and meditation can help you to discipline your mind as well.

The other,

And this might trigger or create resistance and in some meditations or some teachers will say the opposite of what I'm going to say right now.

And that's okay.

You pick and choose whatever you want to hear,

Or what resonates with you.

The second myth that I want to unpack today is that meditation is easy.

Now I heard other people say it's a myth that meditation is hard.

But I'm going to tell you that it's a myth that it's easy,

Especially if it's this type of meditation that you really want to shift something deep.

It is not easy.

It is hard.

I'm going to say it again.

For many people say meditation is easy.

No,

It's not easy.

If it would be so easy,

You wouldn't even listen to this right now.

You wouldn't even struggle with meditation.

If it would be easy,

You would get up in the morning,

You would meditate 30 minutes every day,

You would feel like bliss,

You would be reconnected,

You feel centered,

You would feel strong and confident and just resting within yourself,

Connected to your intuition every day,

No problem.

But that's not how it is.

Otherwise,

This world would already look much different.

And it's okay that it's not easy.

Because anything that's building something foundational is work.

And I bring this example sometimes,

If you want to have a six pack,

That's not just gonna come easy.

You got to go to the gym,

You got to train,

It will take time before you even see any little bit of a result.

And as soon as you stop doing it,

You will lose it again.

It's the same with your connection within your energy connection and with your soul connection.

If you don't keep working on it,

It's not gonna build,

It's not gonna grow.

And it's like a muscle.

And it's okay that it's not easy.

But with the myth that meditation is something that you sit there,

It's easy,

You're just in bliss,

And it's not that way,

Then what happens is that you give up easier,

Because you think it's not working for you.

That's actually also the third myths,

And I have one extra,

That meditation is not working for me.

I've heard this so many times.

I'm gonna go into that in just a moment.

But to stay with meditation is not easy.

And if that's something that you don't want to apply,

Totally okay with it,

You can totally disagree with me.

I think it's positive to look at something realistic.

It's hard work.

It's something you accomplished is something positive is something that you work for.

When you take that on,

That means also,

You've got to do it consistently,

Regularly,

It's okay if you once in a while,

You know,

But to do it a few times,

And then to say,

Oh,

That is not,

This is not working for me,

Is obviously not gonna work for you.

Because it takes time,

It takes persistence,

It takes work,

Because you're building something,

You're building a muscle,

You're building a muscle memory also with your energy.

And the more you do it,

The better it will get.

Also let go of having a wanting a quick result.

No meditation,

Any meditation is a good meditation,

Whether it feels great,

Whether you think it's good or not,

Whether you feel connected,

Or whether you think,

Oh,

My God,

I was sitting in meditate,

And my mind was just thinking I could have saved that meditation.

No,

You build one step at a time,

Meditation to become a dedicated meditator with the goal and purpose to connect deeply within yourself deeply within yourself to connect to your soul to resting,

Resting within to feel centered,

And calm and present and strong and confident.

Living your own self basically takes time and work.

So stay persistent.

It's okay that it's not always easy.

The rewards are just beyond imaginable.

I mean,

I had experienced and still have experiences in meditation that resemble all the things that people tell me when they're on drugs,

A different way of being high.

Yeah,

These are the three things that meditation is about emptying the mind that meditation is easy,

And that meditation doesn't work for you.

And also that meditation should give you quick results.

And I think,

Sonia,

This is so discouraging that doesn't even sound so great.

And at the end of the day,

In my experience,

Anything worthwhile going for it,

If it's a marathon,

If it's climbing up mountain,

Is it reaching self love,

Learning how to build an empire,

Whatever it is,

Any big goal takes work.

And I recommendation I want to give today for those who might want to do this more regularly,

But it feels like a chore,

Or difficult or heavy or too much work.

Instead of focusing on the discomfort,

Focus on how you feel afterwards.

Again the example of the gym,

There are certain exercises we love doing,

But going to the gym,

Lifting weights generally is not that much fun.

But how you feel afterwards makes it so worth it.

From an energetical perspective,

From a mental,

Emotional,

Health,

You know,

Spiritual perspective,

It is worth the effort.

It's worth the work.

So I'm going to pause you for a moment.

And I want to hear from you.

What is landing for you?

What do you like about what I'm saying,

What you don't like?

What are you hearing that is useful for you?

Is there anything that you heard that you disagree with?

Do you have any questions?

Let me know what is your biggest takeaway so far.

And I want to take a deep breath and I'm inviting you to just meditate with me for 30 seconds.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath.

Just tune in.

And just tune in.

What's resonating with you?

What is landing?

What is helpful?

And do you have a challenge or question that I can help you with?

Is a the vertical alignment is a takeaway beautiful.

Some takeaways here meditation can discipline the mind.

And it takes time to work one step at a time and it's okay for it to seem difficult.

Beautiful takeaways.

Yeah.

Thank you for sharing.

Yeah,

It's not even only okay that it seems difficult.

It is difficult.

In my field or in my industry when it comes to spirituality work,

I sometimes have the field that people have that notion of we have to pretend everything is positive.

And everything you know,

Like energy follows attention,

Obviously,

Right?

That's what I teach all day long.

And there is also sometimes a denial or not wanting to see or say it's difficult or challenging meditation to do this,

That type of meditation I'm talking about that is the supporting the inner work.

For me,

This is the tool to support inner work.

It's not substituting the inner work.

Because what's in the way for you to connect up is all the wounds and the stuff that is here on our lower chakras.

And only meditation makes it very hard.

So you still get to do the inner work.

But when you do the inner work in combination with this type of energy based meditation,

You make it so much more powerful.

And it is work.

It is not easy.

It is not even that's okay.

I think our culture is this quick fix.

Easy everything is and if it doesn't work out in one,

Two,

Three times,

We give it up.

It's okay.

It's good.

But as fuel for motivation,

Use that to remind yourself when you meditate the next time and you want to get up because it's uncomfortable,

Or you think I don't have time for this to remind yourself it's okay,

That's uncomfortable.

Let me breathe through this.

Because when you take the time and you stick with it long enough,

You break through the discomfort and you reach to a different level that you will never reach if you don't go through the discomfort because you cannot bypass it.

There's no detour upstairs.

I'm getting totally fired up here.

But I hear this so often and I see this that this this is more damaging than supportive to have that pressure and expectation of something that should happen quickly and easily and then it doesn't and then you might even think what's wrong with me this should be easier.

Meditation should be easier.

No,

It's not.

And it's still the most amazing tool,

One of the most incredible things that you can do for yourself.

And you can reach places in moments within yourself and with your higher self connected to something higher than yourself and you have that moment of being centered in that present moment where nothing else matters.

There's nothing more valuable.

Nothing else gives you that feeling of deep peace.

And the combination of inner work and meditation can truly make that happen for you.

And I see this with my clients all get results when they do the inner work,

But those clients who are also really dedicated and consistent in doing meditation,

While they're doing the inner work,

That just grow faster.

I can say it's just what it is.

Okay,

I'm gonna leave you at this.

Thank you so much for being here today.

There's so much more to say.

Appreciate you being here.

I hope to see you next week again for a new Soul Infused Monday show.

Until then,

Have a great rest of your day.

If you are into Halloween,

Enjoy it,

Have fun and meditate tomorrow morning.

Just do it.

And I have so many free resources for you.

I have so many free guided energy based meditations that incorporate exactly what I was talking about.

And you find a lot of them on the Inside Timer app.

And I've done many meditations on the Soul Infused Monday show as well.

There is no excuse.

Don't over complicate it.

You don't need a perfect setting.

You don't need the perfect space.

It doesn't need to be in silence.

You can meditate anytime,

Anywhere.

Just do it.

Just take it one day at a time.

And if you want extra support,

Reach out to me.

This is what I do for my clients as well.

If you have any questions,

Let me know.

I'm here to support you.

And I wish you a fantastic rest of your day and an incredible start to this week.

Consalom.
