What is being hopeful?
Waiting for an event or situation to work out for us?
To hope that we can have control over a situation outside of us,
Which is out of our control?
Let's have hope help us.
Help quiet the mind,
Bring a smile.
A warm feeling in this moment.
Hope lightens a stressful time.
It's a feeling of freedom from a current challenging event.
And as author Laini Taylor stated,
Hope can be a powerful force.
Maybe there's no actual magic in it.
But when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you,
You can make things happen.
Almost like magic.
Make sure you're in a quiet space where you won't be interrupted.
Either sitting up with a straight spine,
Hands on your left,
Or lying down with your palms facing up in an open gesture for accepting.
Hope is key.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
Expanding the belly to the count of four.
Hold.
Release through the mouth for a count of four.
Again,
In through the nose.
Hold.
Release.
One more time.
In through the nose.
Hold.
Release.
Now,
Focus on your natural breathing.
I am hope.
I feel hopeful.
I love and accept myself.
I love and accept others.
I am safe.
I feel safe.
I am strong.
I feel strong.
I am compassion.
I feel compassion.
I am hope.
I feel hopeful.
I love and accept myself.
I love and accept others.
I am safe.
I feel safe.
I am strong.
I feel strong.
I am compassion.
I feel compassion.
I am hope.
I feel hopeful.
I love and accept myself.
I love and accept others.
I am safe.
I feel safe.
I am strong.
I feel strong.
I am compassion.
I feel compassion.
If your mind starts to wander,
It's OK.
Just bring your focus back to your breath.
Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.
Take your time and open your eyes.
May this beautiful day be filled with hope and compassion.
Many blessings.
