Hello,

And welcome to the Crimson Palace Meditation with Salala Tauler.

This meditation works with our middle dantien,

Our heart center.

This center is the seat of our shen,

Or spiritual self.

It is also where our cognitive mind resides.

It is a big part of our emotional body as well as our self-consciousness.

It is the area of insight and governs our senses,

Sight,

Hearing,

Smelling,

And tasting.

In Chinese medicine,

The heart is considered the emperor of all the other organs.

Also,

When someone is in a very deep state of psychosis,

They are thought of as having a disturbed shen,

Or disturbed spirit.

Short-term memory loss,

Insomnia,

And too much vivid dreaming are all thought of as unbalanced or disturbed shen conditions.

In this meditation,

We will be working with balancing,

Harmonizing,

And strengthening this important area.

Some of you might remember from our organ balancing course that I taught here in Insight that our heart is associated with the element fire,

The direction south,

The power animal,

The red phoenix,

And the emotional,

Especially the emotional tones of expansion,

Joy,

And creativity.

And of course,

As I mentioned,

Our spiritual self,

Our shen,

Is said to reside in the heart as well.

So let's take a few deep breaths into our lower dantian,

Behind our navel,

In our lower abdomen,

With the tip of our tongue to the roof of our mouth,

Breathing in slowly,

Deeply,

And gently through our nose.

Now bring your focus up to your heart center,

In the center of your chest,

And breathe deeply and slowly and gently into this spot,

This area,

This middle dantian,

Or field of medicine,

Or field of elixir.

As you inhale,

Feel your heart open and expand outwards,

And when you exhale,

Feel it open and expand inwards.

Continue to breathe in and out in this way,

Feeling your heart center expanding into each direction.

Now,

In your mind's eye,

See a ball or field of crimson light right in front of you,

Right in the front of your heart center.

And as you breathe in,

Allow this crimson light to fill your heart,

Purging it of all concerns and worries.

Let your spirit feel light and easy.

Fill your whole being with this crimson light.

Continue in this way,

Feeling your heart center expanding in both directions and giving you a feeling of safety,

Lightness,

And joy.

And remember,

Our heart organ is associated with the feelings of joy,

Expansion,

And creativity.

So,

Allow yourself to align with these potent emotional energetic states.

And as we spend a little time now in that timeless place,

The timeless place of true spiritual,

Emotional,

Physical,

Even psychological healing.

And then,

To end the meditation,

Rub your palms together briskly,

36 times,

And then place your palms,

Your laogong points,

Over your eyes and breathe in the warmth and qi that you have created in your palms,

Not only into your eyes but also deep,

Deep within your brain all the way to your pineal gland,

Which we know is associated with psychic perception.

Then rub your palms up and down your face to bring yourself out of the meditative state.

So I hope this little meditation has given you a sense of peace,

Of harmony in your heart and in your very being.
