Steadying Into A Peaceful Mind
Welcome to this meditation, this brief pause to steady your mind during the whirlwind of your day, to create a moment of peace from within. This meditation is a breathing-centered practice that you can always return to doing for any length of time that serves you, wherever you are sitting. You can do this as an open-eyed meditation. However, I suggest that it is closed-eye shut or with using a gentle half-shut gaze. So try to be in a place where you feel comfortable to sit and lower your eyelids. I will keep track of our meditation time. In the background, you will hear the healing, calming sound of waves gently coming up on the shore. The long measured breaths towards the beginning of this practice are meant to anchor you into the present moment while activating your parasympathetic nervous system, which to help relieve stress, and calm, soothe the mind.
