But change is not always easy to handle,
Isn't it?
We naturally tend to resist change
and one of the reasons is the fear of the unknown.
We tend to stick to what we know
even if it's not the best.
But change is a chance to hit the reset button.
It's like getting a fresh start
to build a life that really fits who we are.
So this meditation is created with that intention
of embracing change
as a powerful force that leads us to our best life.
So let's begin.
Find a quiet and comfortable place
where you can sit or lie down.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes
and take a moment to settle into a relaxed position.
Allow yourself to be present in this very moment
as we explore the transformative power of change.
Start by taking a few deep breaths.
Inhale slowly through your nose
and exhale.
As you inhale,
Allow your lungs to fill with air
and exhale gently through your mouth
releasing any tension,
Any tightness.
Feel the natural rhythm of your breath
as you breathe in and breathe out.
Feel yourself getting quieter
and more anchored in the present moment.
And now bring your awareness to the concept of change.
Acknowledge that change is a natural
and inevitable part of life.
It is neither good nor bad.
It simply is.
And as you breathe,
Imagine inhaling acceptance
and exhaling any resistance.
Think of a recent or an upcoming change in your life.
It could be a change in your relationship,
Maybe your living space,
Your work,
Friends
or any personal circumstance.
Just bring it to your awareness.
And now tune in to the emotions that it stirs within you.
Does this change bring up fear?
Or maybe some anger?
Maybe a flicker of frustration?
Or perhaps a tinge of unease?
Or any other feeling that arises?
Just notice without judgment.
Continue breathing.
And remind yourself that the more you resist change,
The greater the internal resistance and pain.
Now imagine standing at the edge of a beautiful lake.
You can feel the gentle breeze on your face
and hear the sound of water flowing.
The water represents the flow of life,
Ever-changing,
Ever-evolving.
Picture yourself standing at the edge of this river.
Hold all your fears and anxieties about this change
in the palm of your hands
and immerse them.
Allow this stream to take it away
and watch as all the fears float away downstream.
Change is safe.
Change is beautiful.
And as you feel the cool water on your hand,
Sense a growing acceptance within yourself.
Feel the lightness in your being
as you trust life and go with the flow.
Tell yourself in your mind,
From this situation,
Only good will come.
This change is bringing immense possibilities,
A chance for personal growth,
New experiences
and a deeper understanding of yourself.
Continue breathing.
Gentle inhale and a gentle exhale.
Take a moment to express gratitude
for your ability to accept change
and know that life supports you
and that you are perfectly strong
and adequate to deal with any change.
