As you heal,

You'll find more joy in the same world you experienced previously.

This is Sana Karpiladi.

Enjoy this guided journey entitled The Deeper Quest.

First,

Adjust yourself by finding comfort where you are currently resting.

Close your eyes and breathe in and out.

Gently scan around the body to ensure release and consciously ease away tension.

Relax.

And now,

Take this next breath to transition into a deeper state of mind where healing occurs.

Drifting down to the deeper states of mind is similar to a leaf that releases itself from its stem and floats quietly down to the earth.

Inhale deeply and hold for a count of two.

And exhale with a deep sigh like this.

One more time.

And you relax.

And you relax.

As you breathe,

Imagine that leaf and release yourself and you float down into your deepest self.

Now your breath moves softly and quietly in and out of the body.

Follow air into the body and breath out.

Let's create an internal experience that is comprised of the sounds and experiences of nature.

You walk into the woods on a path that etches with each step into the earth,

Under your feet with each step.

Listen to the sounds of nature,

The tweeting of birds,

Rustling of leaves,

The crackle of twigs,

And the roll of the river.

Feel the brush of the breeze on your skin,

The feel of your feet scraping the earth.

In this moment,

You take in the freshness of nature,

Its true nature.

You see many hues of green,

Browns,

And natural tones of the earth.

Above you is the clear blue sky and the ideal weather that shines down upon you.

With each breath,

You draw in the sounds,

The sights,

The colors of the season,

And you feel more ease and new freedoms in connection with your natural self.

You are free to choose your path and the lessons you wish to discover.

Can you ponder this?

Every part of you belongs to the soul's quest for fulfillment and expression,

And sometimes your deepest desires are distracted by life's stresses.

Place your attention on a recurring emotional habit you notice and are ready to heal.

You find yourself automatically slipping into these states when certain stresses occur.

Perhaps you feel anger,

Self-doubt,

Anxiety,

Or overwhelm.

Take a moment to observe the various places this emotional pattern plays out in your life,

And what triggers or is associated with it.

This pattern repeats itself in the company of others,

In reaction to a situation,

Or when you are alone.

You sense this emotional habit,

This internal state.

Next,

Project yourself onto a movie screen in front of you,

And observe yourself in this habit and the setting in which it commonly occurs.

Become aware how you change,

What you do,

And feel on the inside the thoughts you have.

Your keen observations sense the subconscious mind in action.

We all develop ways of coping when we are young,

And they are helpful.

We all develop ways of coping when we are young,

Even during infancy,

And for us,

They are helpful back then.

As you observe,

You tune into what is happening,

And this experience feels oddly familiar to you.

Draw in a deep breath,

And exhale slowly twice as long.

Slowly exhale,

And float even deeper now.

The more you relax,

The more the subconscious mind opens,

And you relax,

And you find your way.

Trust that your mind knows exactly what to reveal.

These habits and patterns travel on the same circuits in the brain.

You expand beyond the current day experience and drop into the core issue,

When it all started.

With your next exhale,

The current image of you on the movie screen immediately shifts to the young child who many years ago found a way to cope with a loss,

To survive,

To try to bond,

To be heard,

Or to even fit in.

Maybe the child is an infant,

Two or four or seven.

This little child,

This part of you,

Did the best she or he could.

With limited resources,

Support,

Understanding,

And care,

You found a way to cope and thrive that has continued into your adult life.

Allow this child to be present.

As you continue your walk,

You hear the sounds of a young child in a grassy area up ahead.

As this child,

Your inner child,

Comes to view,

You discover that it is you,

The child that found the way to cope with stress and tensions or pain.

Sit with this child.

Perhaps she is engaging in some way,

Or still,

Or perhaps fearful.

Sit with this child.

This inner child is a part of you that is hurting.

Maybe you hold hands or the child sits on your lap,

Or you hold this child in some way.

You create a strong connection and the bond of safety for this child.

Because your adult self knows these things now,

And you can create this for this child,

What he or she needed.

Your breath deepens.

It's slow.

It's quiet.

It's steady.

Breathe in and out,

Drifting even deeper into that healing place where your wise soul and the collective consciousness of all universal intelligence is availing itself to you right now.

As you hold this image,

Let's fill you with love and appreciation.

Recall when a blessing was bestowed upon you in an ordinary moment.

You feel the warmth and fill with joy and love.

An ordinary moment when a blessing occurs.

Imagine that moment now.

Enliven and reactivate this moment,

That love now as if you're there in your mind.

You play out what happened as if you are there.

And the warm sun enlivens your body.

And your child feels the warmth too.

Feels upon you and your child.

You hold the child in your lap and you whisper and gently speak the following words.

You hold the child in your lap and you whisper or gently speak the following words.

You are my younger self.

You grew up and I am you of the future.

What is happening in your life right now is temporary and cannot happen again when it stops.

Perhaps it is something that cannot be undone.

You are safe now.

In my arms,

I take care of you.

I hold you.

There is nothing you have to do to earn my love.

I guide you.

I keep you safe with all my might.

No one can ever hurt you again.

I love you.

You are a part of me that I cherish.

I know you did the best that you could.

Now I am here and will always be here for you.

We stay together.

I continue to use the way to survive that you created as I got older.

Now together we learn new ways to help ourselves heal.

We breathe together as I hold you.

I guide you when we talk.

You can share any feeling or emotion with me.

There is nothing you must keep secret or internalized.

I stop replaying these habits in my life today because they belong in the past.

Although I know how important they were to you back then,

The more I behave and respond in this way,

The more wounded I remain and you stay stuck in the hurt.

First I thank you for helping yourself,

But now we heal.

Trust your mind and brain to release this pattern.

This habit that served its purpose and had great value.

Now it is outdated and of the past.

Release it now.

Free yourself of this pattern.

With each breath,

Every blessing you enliven,

Every word you speak,

All actions you take,

You strengthen and grow new ways of coping.

Imagine what that could be.

How would you bring courage and strength into your life?

As you hold this child and you breathe in,

This child becomes a part of your being and is and always has been a part of you.

The strength expands.

The clarity and healing infuses and pulses through the body.

Breathe.

You breathe and discover a deeper sense as you welcome this part of you,

This inner child that resides within you.

Open the body,

Open your heart,

Allow this joy,

The desires,

The love,

The youthful vigor to become you.

Let's return to the movie screen.

You return to the image or images you viewed on the screen earlier in this audio.

With your next exhale,

You replace the old self with an updated version of self that behaves in your most resourceful,

Powerful and wise experienced way.

You follow through with ease.

You take the necessary actions.

You say what you need to say.

Maybe you set boundaries,

Speak up or step away.

Allow it to play out.

Agree to these changes.

There is power within you that is always greater than a task in front of you.

You gain a strength,

Confidence and clarity that becomes you and begins to etch into your being in new ways.

You gain a strength,

Confidence and clarity that becomes you and begins to etch into the brain and nervous system.

You gain a strength,

Confidence and clarity that becomes you and begins to etch into your being new ways of responding.

You feel good about this awareness and realize that every time you take an action,

Every time you follow your internal guidance,

Every time you open your heart,

That old way of coping loses its power.

And your strength,

You emerge experiencing a wider range of emotion and a freedom to handle conflict and situations in the right time with greater ease,

Certainty,

Clarity,

Confidence and strength.

Imagine that.

And now you rest.

With your next breath in,

All of this experience expands into and infuses into every cell.

And you breathe easily into the body,

Into your life.

You return to love and your soulful self.
