The Urgency Of Transformation

Eckhart Tolle’s declaration that humanity is now faced with a stark choice—evolve or die. But we need not despair. Change is in the air—we are breaking up old egoic mind patterns, and a new dimension of Consciousness is emerging. On March 7th, 2023, at the Center For Spiritual Living in Fort Lauderdale, Rev Skip shared a lesson on interconnectedness, healing the planet, and living from spirit vs. living from the Ego.

Thank You Reflections, Beautiful. Oh I love this place, I love this place. There's no place like CSL and there's a lot of energy, A lot of good vibrations, A lot of love that's happening here and I believe that we're in a very incredible time and we're in a time of releasing the old and embracing the new. The new way we serve, The new way that we connect with spirit, The new way that we become who and what we are meant to be. I love this month because this month is about healing the planet. Last month was about healing ourselves and once we have done the work within ourselves we are called to be the leaders, Spiritual leaders in our community because we live in a world that tells us everything that's the polar opposite. See if you're here today your soul's called you forth because there is an urgency for transformation to happen in the world but it begins with you. Our theme this month is healing the planet. We're using a brand new book called, Well it's not brand new in fact it was published in 2005 and you might have this book, You might not but it's called A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and this book was the first book that I really began to go deep into what it is to live from spirit or live from the ego. An ego is a acronym I use for edge God out. Now listen you can never edge God out because that is who you are but we edge God out of our consciousness and we begin to live and move from the ego. This is what we're transforming, This is why it's so urgent for us to transform today. Are you here CSL yes or yes? So we are in this place of a full moon and a lunar eclipse and and we look at the stars because you know we're all stars we all came from the stars so we are connecting to what's happening with us with the planets and the moons and the stars and I read this before it actually went into the eclipse and I read this and went oh this is what's happening. In astrology the spiritual aspect of the moon represents the deep emotional tides so whenever you are feeling the emotion around a full moon you're meant to. They're meant to come up in you and recognize this fullness of the physical and also the mental with the spiritual. Astrologists believe an eclipse is a life-changing emerging change through you so we are looking at in the dark what is coming up to be released when the moon comes out of the dark and we go into the light. This is a call for you to release all those old habits, Paradigms, Your pissiosities that you like to hold on to. It's time to let go of them because they're holding us back from the new age. You hear me? That's where we're moving into. So I believe this urgency of transformation Eckhart Tolle was talking about is very evident in this little short little film that I want but I truly believe that sometimes we have to take a hard look at what society is right now. See it is called for us to be in the world but not be of the world because when you're of the world you're being led by the ego. I want to share three quotes with you from three very smart people. Number one is Eckhart Tolle from our book of the month, A New Earth, And he says as you already heard this from Fran Wenzel, Listen to this, A significant portion of the earth's population will soon recognize if they haven't already done so that humanity is now faced with a stark choice to evolve or die. And I truly believe that if we continue to act in this place of where social media is guiding our decisions we will die. If we continue to be in this polarized experience of Democrats and Republicans and independents we will die as a nation. I believe this is the call for the transformation to happen and it's beginning here. We are the epic center of change. Here's what Michael Beckwith has said on numerous times. My teacher from Agape International Spiritual Center said this, The world has taken a nightmare pill and can't wake up. Think about this, We continue to take this nightmare pill that we think it's okay to be all awful to people, To be terrible to people on social media, To say you're right, You're wrong. We believe that that is the way because we have been conditioned to believe that's it's right. That's the nightmare pill. Here's what Marianne Williamson says, Author, Teacher, Presidential candidate. She has said this on numerous occasions, The world is at a crossroads. We will either save ourselves or destroy ourselves. Take that in. I am NOT a doom and gloom minister. I'm not on the corner with a sign going the end is near but I'm here to tell you the end is near. We have to call forth this transformational change. Why is this urgency of transformation so important? It's because we are experiencing what I call a vibrational collective energy. We are a collective and everything that is felt, Everything that we have said, Everything that we do is felt within the collective. Some of us know it and some of us don't. We choose to sometimes to numb out, To desensitize ourselves to what we're really experiencing. This is why a full moon meditation on the beach is so important. When you gather with your friends, There are over 45 of us, CSL family and there was over about 150 on the beach meditating together. We got to slow down and really feel what is real. See, This is appearance that all the stuff that we're experiencing outside of ourself is real. That is an illusion. It's the Maya. It is what we believe is real but it's not. We have to come back to our spiritual practices. We have to be still and know. We have to go back and we have to do contemplation. There's an urgency upon our life to change and if you don't believe me then you might believe Ernest Holmes and this is what Ernest Holmes says that the spiritual law of oneness is an interconnected experience. Everybody's experience the same exact thing. Everyone is experiencing it. Some of us know, Some of us do not know. Everything's a shared experience so the next time you choose to say something to someone else know that it's being felt by everyone. Everything is felt in the universe because we are one in the universe so when we speak it into the universe guess what it does? It's a ripple effect. We are the sea of- we are a wave in the sea of life. If you ever go to the beach and we're on the beach again on Friday which is so beautiful to watch a wave come up on the beach and then go back out. See that wave is still a part of the ocean and the ocean for us is the collective. We are a wave but we're still a part of the collective ocean. We are an organism in this macrocosm of life and this life I call is God. So we're asking ourselves to shift in this ego experience. We're asked to shift and it's today. See our true nature is unity, Connection, Oneness. That is our true nature but we have been taught the polar opposite. We have been taught to see the bad things in people. We have been conditioned to look at what is wrong with someone and then tell them that's wrong. We've been conditioned to see enemies. I know when I was growing up I remember those termed enemies of United States, Enemies of the state. We've been conditioned to see enemies. Before it was the enemies was Russia, Was China but now guess what we're seeing? It is spread into our neighborhoods. We're seeing enemies because people don't believe the way we believe or they don't love the way we love or they don't have the same color skin or they don't have the same gender or they don't believe the same. That is now the new enemy. It's a shift in consciousness. We have to go back to the ageless wisdom and we must have a new thought. See we're continue to be conditioned by news, By politics, By every Hollywood movie that we see. Even the comedies have their sense of conflict because that's what keeps us involved into the movies. When we move from the ego we try to control. Ego says I'm gonna control this. I'm gonna control what you do. I'm gonna control what they do. We try to control nature and I've been watching this as we're studying how to save the planet. I've been watching a lot of films on controlling nature. When our tree is messing with our home, What do we do? We chop it down. When there is a need for more paper, We chop down trees in the Amazon. Nature didn't do anything for you. To you, Let nature go. Let nature be. One of the greatest experiences of watching nature unaffected by us was the pandemic. When we had to take a break, Mother nature says okay here I go. Watch me flourish. Watch me show out. Watch me. There were animals we have not seen in centuries that showed up. The bees came back. We could see mountains. See if we leave nature alone and we allow ourselves to coexist, In fact, We are not just living with nature. We are nature itself. So we have to remember that as we are healing the planet. Then we try to control each other, Especially when someone doesn't think the way we think. We try to convince them or we try to push them away. We overpopulate our cities and then we charge so much money for people to live there. Ah, Think about that. That's the world, Y'all. That is greed. That's not even capitalism. That's greed. Look where we're going. This is the call for this urgent shift now. So what is the shift and how can we make a shift in our mind? Let's start with the mind. Every day that you walk into center for 21 times or even 30, Depending who you are, I want you to read that manifesto that's in the in the lobby. See some of us just see it up there as decorations but a manifesto is a declaration of how we choose to live. It's a public declaration. It is an agreement. It is a goal for us to live in this standard. I'm not gonna read the whole manifesto to us but I want you to listen to this. Who I am and what I do matters to the next generation and the next and the next and the next and the next and the next. I think I got six in there. And the next. Seven generations. Everything we say, Everything we do will affect seven generations from this point on. Think about the water you use. Think about what you say to children. It carries on as a ripple effect. It affects us. Here's another part of our manifesto. I am here to leave this world a better place than I found it. Wow. Here's the thing I love about the manifesto. It is a purpose statement. Now some of us have mission statements and it's not a bad thing but let's look at the mission. A mission, If you think about someone who is going out to war, They create the mission, They go out, They achieve the mission and it's done. They come back either victorious or they come back defeated. I no longer believe in mission statements. I believe in purpose statements because the purpose statement tells you why you are here, Why you are alive. What are you here to bring on this planet? You're not here to do anything. You're here to become everything and that is the Spirit of God. Purpose statements. What is your purpose? Someone's listening. Thank you. Thank you. So we're talking about the transformation and the urgency of the transformation. We have to look at that word transformation. Transformation means this, An irreversible shift in how we live. That is what transformation means, An irreversible shift in how we live. See, There's a difference between change and transformation. Change is fleeting. If I had hair, I'd change it every other week. You'd be saying, Oh here comes red with the blonde hair again. Here comes red with that red hair. It's fleeting. I would change my hair like I changed my shoes. But transformation is lasting. When we're talking about transformation, It is led by the Divine Spirit, The spark of intelligence that lives within you. It is a divine awakening. It's an aha moment. And when we have that aha moment, We have an intentional shift in our practice. See, When we wake up that we no longer want to live of the world, But we want to shine the light, We change our practices. We go into meditation. We go to beach meditations. We do our healing work. We get into classes and we have some dynamic teachers here get into Reverend Tina's class. I hear it's absolutely amazing JC and Reverend Tina. Thank you. But it can come on as an effect from a crisis. I believe that we're in the middle of a crisis for our society. So don't let a good crisis go to waste. It is time to transform. It's time to break free of the stress, The worry. It is time to be willing to let go of old ways and old paradigms we do. Listen, I am all about a shared leadership. See, We are out of this patriarchal, We are moving out of a patriarchal way of leadership. If we think of patriarchal way of leadership, There's a triangle. There is one person at the top and everyone is working to make that one person at the top happy. That is an old paradigm that we are here to let go of. The matriarchal way, The divine mother in us that's coming forth in this month and Fran Winslow will be here next week giving us our talk for Mother's Day. There's this divine feminine that's coming forth. The divine feminine is what's going to heal us, That's going to nurture us, That's going to bring us back to life. The matriarchal way of leadership says, I'm a circle, Carol's a circle, My is a circle. We're all circles and all the circles start to intertwine. And there is one big circle that we operate in many circles and that is the leadership of spiritual growth. That we are here to have our own awakening so our circle will touch everyone. And yes, We do have spiritual leaders. Yes, We have operations people to get things moving but leadership happens. Carl came to me and said, Yo we need to be on the beach. And I went, Okay what does that look like? And he says, It's a beach moon meditation. Okay, Let's do this. I go to my team and our team and I say, Listen we need some advertisement about this. You get the newsletter, Y'all show up, Now we're on the beach meditating together. That was not Rev Skip. That came from the mind of God of Carl showing up as Carl and everyone came together so that we may experience God. That is what shared leadership is all about. If you still do not believe that we are interconnected, I'm gonna give you five ways that we are interconnected. You can see right now. Ecologically, We are connected. We are one organism. We are one planet. We are here together. And when one organism and one species is not doing well, It affects everyone else. Let me give you one example. When the chickens went on strike, They said, I ain't giving y'all no more eggs. We lost our minds. The prices of eggs went up. Y'all, Everybody complained, Oh my god, We get no more eggs. The chicken says, I'm tired, Give me a break, I'm on strike. And listen, I was complaining too because I love my eggs. I do. But the idea, It affected everyone. One species was tired of giving and giving and giving and we're taking and taking and taking. It affected everyone. Economically, Think about this. The stock market, When the stock market is going up, Going down, It affects our interest rates. And then the prices of everything goes up, Goes down, Gas, Food. We are connected and it does not have to start here in America. We can have a shift in the stock market in China and it affects everything. We are interconnected. Number three, The culture. I love this culture and music. The most, The biggest influences in our culture right now, It's hip-hop, Believe it or not. Hip-hop is the most consumed genre of music that there is. Hip-hop has affected the way we dress, The way what we hear, Even country music is using hip-hop right now. And this is not me making up, You go to the internet and find out. The most consumer of hip-hop is not black folks. It is non-black people, It's white people, It's people of that tap into the culture. And we celebrate, We celebrate, We celebrate, We love it, We're dying in. So we are interconnected with our culture. Our holidays, The way we celebrate, It's all starting to intermix. Technology. Right now we're interconnected. Hello, My Facebook family. Hello, YouTubers. Hello, People that are online with us all over the world. On Insight Timer, Every Friday morning I do a live event. We have people from all over the world. We're interconnected because of the internet and spirituality. Here's where the interconnection happens. Every tradition, Every religion is based in love. That is the interconnected force. It is love. We are interconnected. So therefore, This is why the urgency of change is so important. The urgency of transformation is so important. So here's how we do it. We begin to take care of ourselves. We begin to love ourselves. It starts with self-love. And then that self-love can move into others. Loving others, Loving others. But it has to start with us. And that will create a collective shift within our universe. We must take care of planet Earth. I believe this is the most important spiritual practice collectively that we can do. We're going to be talking more about this this month. But you know there is a plastic island that's in the Pacific Ocean the size of Texas. We need to take care of it. We need to take your bags into public, Y'all. Take your bags. And if you forget your bag, Go back and get it. You're getting more steps for your exercise for that day. Go back and get your bags. Stop using plastic. Get your own water bottle. We can change this planet. And then we need to remember this. Here's our mantra for today. Repeat after me. One love, One planet, One life. Let's do that again. One love, One planet, One life. There is only one love that's happening right here. We must remember the one love that is happening in this room no matter how you're feeling is the absolute energy, The unconditional love of spirit. That is the only thing that's happening. We are living on one planet unless you have that Tesla money. Just saying. Just saying. But we have one planet that we're living on. So why are we not taking care of the home? You can't take sides on a round planet. We must collectively come together to take care of our home, People. And then the one life is the life of eternity. We are living one life and it can come in many iterations. I'm not here to debate that. But what I do know there is only one life. So in the collective shift, We have the power to change the energy on this planet. Are you with me CSL? Then my work is done and so it is.
