Modern day Yogi here.
Siri Sat Nam Singh.
My name means great believer in the truth.
And that is something I have been practicing for decades now.
I never tell or say anything that I cannot stand by and believe to be at one with reality.
This is our first in our four part series of meditations to rid one of depression.
Nobody wants to be depressed.
But what I've come to understand,
The more one relates to the soul,
So it is that we have the less propensity for depression.
So today let's talk to our soul.
Let our soul speak to us.
We want to have a soul journey.
And this first meditation relates to the word Aum.
Now a number of Yogis chant Aum.
Aum relates to the absolute infinity.
Aum is a derivative of Aum.
But we're chanting Aum because Aum relates to the creator in function.
So this meditation utilizes Aum.
And the way you chant it is at the back of your throat.
Aum.
So it's almost the sound of the gong.
Aum.
Now there's a mudra that goes with it.
This particular meditation is especially for brain drain.
You only have to chant this mantra five times and you will be in an elevated state of consciousness.
It will give you a burst of energy.
So there is a mudra that accompanies the meditation that interlaces your hands and extend your sun finger,
Which is the ring finger.
And let the ring finger of the right hand touch the ring finger of the left hand.
So all of the other fingers are interlaced.
It's only the sun fingers which are being extended.
And the sun finger should be extended at a 60 degree angle as you have this mudra at your chest.
And close your eyes and have your feet flat on the floor and your back straight.
And at the back of the throat,
We're going to chant the mantra Aum five times.
Now when you do Aum effectively and correctly,
It is at the back of the throat.
It should vibrate throughout the internal being of your head.
It shouldn't be Aum.
It should be Aum.
This way you really are affecting your brain.
So inhale deep.
Aum.
Hail.
Aum.
Inhale again.
Aum.
Inhale.
Aum.
And now it's time.
Aum.
And just sit quietly and see how you feel after just chanting that very,
Very powerful mantra just five times.
And of course the more you practice this,
The more your mental consciousness and that elevated state will be sustained.
I wish you well.
Do understand that this is spiritual work.
It's like going to the gym one day and you don't go back for a month.
Your body is not going to develop.
The same thing with meditation.
You must do it daily as a practice,
As a discipline.
So doing this four-part series,
I suggest you do each meditation for one week every day as soon as you wake up in the morning and see how you feel.
And then you're ready to tune into the next section of our Meditation Anti-Depression Series.
