Vulnerability may be something we wish to avert. However, being present when feeling vulnerable in our hearts can provide a softening towards self and compassion towards others. It is in this way that the vulnerable heart meditation serves to support you to feel more love whilst sending and receiving healing.

We commence this meditation by gently placing our attention on our heart centres.

Inhale through the nose at your own relaxed pace,

With the awareness that this breath is travelling to your heart centre.

And as you exhale,

You are releasing any tensions or constriction that you may be feeling in and around your heart.

So the in-breath is gently expanding the heart.

You could imagine this as opening up like a blossoming flower,

And then any dusty debris that has collected in and around the petals falls away with each exhalation.

You can place your right hand on your tummy as we continue.

This connection with self serves the purpose of grounding you,

Reminding you that you are here for you in this moment.

And as you continue the gentle breath,

You apply a soft awareness to the heart centre,

Allowing yourself a moment to connect with any vulnerability.

And if needed,

You can ground deeper into Gaia and connect to the nurturing of this tangible divine energy.

And as you feel into any vulnerability around your heart centre,

You notice the delicateness and the inherent beauty of this.

And we use the breath now,

We inhale as we connect with the vulnerability,

As we connect with the vulnerability,

Our feelings bringing new energy in,

And we exhale releasing any form of overwhelm or excess energy that may be related to the emotions you are feeling.

Breathing in new energy,

Exhaling and letting go,

And you hand this energy back over to the divine,

Knowing it knows exactly what to do with it.

The energy is recycled back into pure love.

And now we invite the divine in.

So take a nice inhalation in,

A nice deep breath.

Release,

And feel the energy of the divine entering you.

You may sense it falling all over the top of your head or falling through as a stream of light.

You may see colours,

You may hear sounds,

Or know that the divine is entering your heart chakra now,

Blathering you with love.

And this love is so tender and gentle,

That you may feel tears at the corners of your eyes.

You may also feel a smile slowly emerge,

Because you remember just how loved you are every single moment.

So allow this love in.

Breathe in,

And exhale deeply,

Allowing more space,

Knowing you will never be overwhelmed by the love of the divine.

For you are divine,

This is family.

Now we share this love,

This experience that we are having,

By simply thinking of two other people right now,

That may need a burst of loving support from the divine.

Visualise them standing in front of you,

And you smile at them reassuringly,

Feeling into their vulnerability,

Knowing that this state connects you deeply with them,

And reminds you of your precious humanness,

Of the magnificence of human connection,

And the way that emotions help us to better understand each other.

And imagine now this pure love flowing down from the divine,

And it travels down through you and out through your heart chakra,

Through to these other beautiful humans that you are bestowing and sharing this pure love with.

Allow yourself to smile,

Because here you are standing so bravely,

With your heart open,

Even when it's tender and sore,

In your own vulnerability,

Connecting with others and sharing love.

And so we close this meditation with an affirmation for all beings.

May all beings find courage and compassion within vulnerability.

It's been a pleasure to connect with you and meditate with you.

I feel privileged.

Namaste.
