So we're going to put our awareness on awareness itself right now.

That which is looking,

All the way to the background,

That awareness,

That which sees thought,

Rest there.

And we're going to notice that that awareness itself has some qualities to it.

It is completely accepting,

It is unconditionally accepting of all that's here.

It lets it all in,

Just effortlessly.

And it lets it all in without a name.

There's sound,

There's sensation,

There's thought,

All of it's allowed in awareness.

And it doesn't mind any of it.

It's like the sky,

Or pure space,

Welcoming of everything.

And so,

Thought is welcome,

And we're going to bring awareness to some other things that are here,

Just here.

We start with sensation.

So let's feel the sensation at the very top of the head.

So maybe you feel a little light breeze in the room,

Or you could feel the music at the top of the head,

Like touching your scalp.

We're just putting awareness there,

Whatever sensation there is welcome.

Awareness,

Pure awareness,

This is not something you have to think about.

Pure awareness acts like a,

Kind of like a massager,

It soothes the body,

For the body to be paid attention to.

Not without the filter of an agenda,

Or a thought,

Or a doing,

We're just being aware of it.

So let's be aware of the whole scalp at the top of the head,

How the music feels there.

You can feel the scalp in the back of the head,

Maybe the nape of the neck and where that brainstem area is,

All through the back of the head.

What is it to let the sensation of sound point out the sensation inside your head?

Feeling the skull now,

Feeling the brain in the back of the head,

See if you can feel into the skull and the brain in the middle of the head,

Deep behind your eyes and in between your ears,

There's the very middle of the head where sound and awareness can penetrate,

No effort whatsoever.

It's not something you can think about,

But awareness can go,

Can feel the sensation in the middle of the head.

Let the sound soothe and stroke the whole forehead area in the front of the head,

Front of the skull,

Around your temples,

Sound inside awareness itself,

Massaging you,

So passive,

So relaxed,

Nothing at all you need to do here.

You're just aware that you're being kissed by sound,

Kissed on the forehead,

On the eyes,

The eye sockets,

All through the eyes,

Let them soften and be soothed and petted.

Feel into the hinge of your jaw,

Let it just drop open or just be soft,

Feel your teeth and your tongue,

Let awareness come all the way into your teeth,

Into your jawline,

Into your chin,

Feel the whole roof of your mouth,

Feel into the back of your throat,

All of it just being softened,

Body feeling seen,

Feeling touched,

And therefore feeling safe.

Let the sounds just soften your whole face now,

Your nose,

Under your nose,

Your lips,

Your cheeks,

The whole face,

The skeletal structure,

Skull,

The whole skull softened.

See if that music can stroke through the whole brainstem in the back of the brain.

You go to the back,

Back of the throat,

And the right behind that is near where the brainstem is.

The brainstem is also the very back,

Back of the eyes,

Putting our awareness there helps soften the eyes.

There's usually a lot of strain and holding in our heads and it's totally fine,

You don't have to stop that,

But to be aware of it is to start a healing process,

An opening process.

Just simply aware of sensation,

Great,

And let's feel into the neck a little bit,

Into the spine,

Feel how those sounds reverberate through the spine down into the neck,

And you might feel a kind of release,

Putting any awareness in the body starts to open the body,

It starts to heal the body,

And we have a term that Kiran coined called off-gassing,

And that's simply to open your mouth and just breathe out any pressure that comes up and out.

It's going to feel like a very natural sigh or a natural release,

And when you're hit on a little knot,

And we have knots and pain all over our body,

Maybe in the back of your neck there's a bit of a knot,

And when you put awareness there,

It unwinds a little bit.

You can help it by breathing out,

You're being massaged after all,

Being bathed in this beautiful sound,

Let it bathe your whole neck now,

Let it soak into those little corners,

Those little catches and aches inside the neck,

Maybe inside the throat.

If your mind gets busy,

It's a good sign,

It's a sign that you're onto something,

That there's a spot right there where you left off,

You could use some attention,

Maybe right at the base of the throat now,

What would it be to put all your awareness there,

To just love it,

To just be with the feeling in your throat,

Nothing more,

To let the sound massage you,

To let your whole neck and head be supple and relaxed,

Like a baby being held,

Held in awareness,

Held by sound.

You are being held,

You don't have to hold yourself,

The body takes care of itself,

It breathes itself,

Pumps its own blood,

It repairs its own cells,

Digests its own food,

You're not operating this thing,

You may just let it operate on its own,

Taking your hand off the wheel,

Just for now,

Just for this moment,

Handing your body over,

Letting it be touched by awareness and sound,

And if there's a busy mind stream,

Go right back to the spot you were on,

Maybe the back of your head,

Back of your neck,

I bet it's a little dense,

A little painful,

What if you just let this music wash through it,

Right,

And now just taking that awareness,

Come traveling down the spine,

Feel that you're inside your vertebrae,

The sound is penetrating there and awareness is inside your spine,

Feeling it inside the shoulder joints,

Inside the shoulder blades,

Between the shoulder blades,

Feeling the spine there,

Feel the sound reverberating through the shoulder blades,

There's all these tissues and connective fibers in the shoulder blades and into the shoulder joints and collarbones,

We store a lot of pain and tension inside our connective tissue,

Nothing you need to know about mentally,

But if you put awareness there,

Feel into your shoulders,

It starts to soften them,

It starts to heal,

Can you feel underneath the collarbones,

Inside the ribcage,

Whole ribcage be soaked with your own awareness,

Fill with this vibration of sound,

Maybe pain here in the chest,

Heartbreak,

It's okay,

Pain is just dense energy,

That's all,

Risk letting this vibration of sound touch your pain,

Risk letting life in here,

Letting the body be witnessed,

Seen,

Letting the heart be touched,

Felt into,

Right under the sternum,

Right in the middle of the chest,

Feel all this sound just petting it,

Permeating your heart with great,

Feel that you're really deeply inside your own chest,

All the way,

360 degrees around,

Feeling into your shoulders,

The shoulder blades,

The lungs,

The sternum,

The ribs and the heart itself,

The spine in the back of the heart,

Let it all be vibrating with sound and breathing out any tension,

Feel inside your arms now,

Let that sound vibrate down into the tissues and the bones,

Feel the elbows,

Feel the crease of the elbows,

Feel the lower arms vibrating,

Feel the bones of the wrists and the palms of the hands and the fingertips and in between the fingers,

The whole body is simply made of energy and space,

Vibration,

Not very different than sound itself,

As you feel your chest,

Your arms,

Your hands,

Your neck and your head,

Notice the openness here,

The spaciousness here,

That these vibrations just move through and if we allow them,

If we open enough,

They heal,

Awareness itself,

Healing you,

Softening this body,

Reconnecting energetic strands,

Reconnecting tissues and fibers in the body,

Everything flowing better,

More awareness we give it,

Great,

Really savoring the feeling of being inside your body,

All this vibration,

All this energy,

Even the pain,

You wouldn't want to miss it,

It's just energy,

Don't tell a story about it,

Don't believe the story,

Go right to the source,

Let's come into the solar plexus now,

There's probably a big grip there,

This time let's just be deeply accepting it gets to be there,

With no thought,

Just awareness,

Aware of the sensation in the solar plexus and letting the sounds gently vibrate through it,

Waves of sound softening the whole solar plexus,

Back of the solar plexus,

All underneath the ribcage there,

Lots of organs,

Lots of glands,

Lots of activity and energy,

Nothing you need to know about,

Just feel it,

To be inhabited in our body is to heal it,

Feeling into the lower belly or toward the belly button now,

Let the sound just really soak into your belly,

Let awareness feel through all the different organs,

Mid back,

Spine there,

The sides of the belly,

Can let go of all management of this body,

All holding the belly in,

You don't have to manage a thing,

Not one thing,

This body needs no manager,

No doer,

It can just be feeling into the lower belly,

Underneath the belly button,

All through the intestines,

Right above the hips and into the lower back,

Savor the vibration of sound,

Softening it all,

Let yourself be touched,

Touched by life,

Touched by sound,

Touched by your own awareness,

This fast,

Soft,

Sweet,

No thought needed,

Although it's no problem that it's here,

Just feeling it,

It's funny,

We just generally don't feel our bodies that much,

Generally pretty cut off,

But it's here,

It's here to land in,

Take your seat in,

Let's really take our seat inside our own pelvis,

Like really sinking into your favorite chair,

Feel the hips expand and soften,

Feel those hip joints,

Feel deep inside,

The sides of your hips,

Your pelvis,

Letting them spill out to the side,

Holding your pelvis in,

Not at all,

Holding your hips in,

Not at all,

Soft like a couch,

Soft like a chair,

Down into the tailbone,

Feel the tailbone nice and open and deeply grounded,

There are streams of energy moving through the tailbone,

You might be able to feel a subtle energy there,

A subtle stream there,

Those energy streams go through the tailbone,

All the way up the spine and all the way up through the crown chakra,

Lots of streams of energy in between there,

This one line is very potent,

You can just feel it right now,

Feel that sound vibrating from the top of the head and even above the top of the head,

All the way down the spine and out the tailbone,

No thought needed,

Just feel the vibration there,

Feel the energy there,

We are energy beings,

Totally and completely connected to all the energy on planet earth,

No separation here,

Let's feel deep into the pelvis and from inside the pelvis,

Inside the pubic bone,

The front and the bottom of the pelvis,

Start to feel from the inside into your legs,

I wonder if you can feel the sound vibrating the bones ever so slightly inside the upper legs,

Softening the muscles,

Feeling into the skin of the upper legs,

The skin wrapped around the knees,

Feeling into the kneecaps and underneath the kneecaps,

That's vibrating too,

Maybe your knees are sore and when you get there you just want to exhale,

Good,

That's a healing,

Feeling into the lower legs,

The shins and the calves,

The skin of the lower legs,

You're getting massaged by sound,

Massaged by your own awareness,

Just feeling your body,

Feeling the ankles,

Feeling the arches of the feet,

Little bones,

The tops of the feet that come into the toes,

In between the toes,

Feel the whole feet vibrating,

They're very alive and feel below your feet,

From inside your feet,

Can you feel into the floor,

Put awareness a few feet down,

Let's put awareness 10 feet down,

Plant your roots in the earth,

You're already planted,

You're already connected,

It just feels really good to feel it,

To feel the connectedness that we are,

We've never ever been separate and there's all this connectedness,

All this oneness that we missed,

That we can feel through the body,

Great,

Let's feel through those feet,

Those cords coming through the bottoms of the feet,

A deep connection there,

All the way up through the legs,

The torso,

Out the arms and hands and then up through the head and out the top of the head,

Let's feel inside all the body and all the way into the skin layers from inside and then let's feel through the skin layers,

Notice from awareness,

We don't know where our skin begins and end,

We have to go to a thought for that,

Your skin dissolve,

Let the sound of the music,

The vibration of the music move through you,

Notice you're made of space,

Awareness can be aware of itself as spaciousness,

A fluid system here,

Totally connected to the air in the room,

The chair underneath you,

The walls of the room and the air outside,

The ground under your feet,

There's no separation,

Feel it,

Feel how the sound drops into this spaciousness,

It's endless,

It's in your body and beyond it,

It does not have a spot that it isn't,

This sound drops right into spaciousness,

It permeates everything,

You could call this spaciousness also silence,

Every sound drops right into an endless field of silence,

Just quiet,

Just quiet itself,

There is no end to this silent field,

It permeates your whole body,

It permeates the whole room,

The whole neighborhood,

The whole country,

The whole earth,

The whole sky,

Let yourself just dissolve into it,

Nothing to be afraid of,

We only become more functional,

More human,

More fulfilled,

The more we dissolve into our truest nature,

What do those sounds dissolve into?

Let yourself dissolve all the way into that spacious silence,

The body will keep dissolving like salt crystals in warm water,

Let each part of the body naturally just dissolve in this silent awareness,

It's safe to dissolve and it feels so good to rest in the arms of your truest self,

The silence that permeates everything that you're dissolving into,

Just letting yourself dissolve,

No effort at all,

Salt crystal doesn't need to effort in the warm water,

It just happens,

Be aware of the warm water,

Be aware of the silence and how endless it is,

You can explore it,

You can wander in as Kiran says and just let awareness expand into vastness of this silence,

Endlessness of this silence,

It's safe,

Safe to dissolve,

If there's a stream of thought came out of a sore spot in the body,

A grip somewhere,

Maybe you can find that spot and let it dissolve a little more in this silent field it's swimming in,

You can completely rest here,

You can rest as the silence itself,

It's your truest nature and it's running the whole show anyway,

So just rest,

Rest as this vast field of silence,

Nothing to do,

Thoughts float in,

Sensation floats in,

But what is it all inside of?

Endless quiet,

Keep all your attention there,

Let everything else dissolve into it,

So this silence,

This endless field of silence,

My voice still drops into it,

It's not going to go anywhere,

And at the same time that we're aware of this vast field and we can deeply rest here as that,

The body has sensations and it's calling for things,

So taking all the time you need to just listen,

Maybe it needs a stretch,

Maybe not,

Maybe just on a yawn or twist your shoulders or your back,

Stand up or even lay down further,

Not moving away from the silence,

But noticing actually the more access to silence and awareness you have,

The more you can hear your body in your own time,

You can open our eyes and notice again that the silence doesn't go anywhere,

You can still rest completely in that as that.
