Welcome to your meditation,

Peace of Mind.

I'll be guiding you to journey within and you'll be using my voice as a guide.

Doesn't need to distract though from your own inner journey and experience.

We will be using the metaphor and analogy of the ocean and that the mind is similar to the ocean in that on the surface we have the busyness,

Sometimes very high waves and sea with lots of tidal shifts and changes depending on the time of day,

Where the moon is,

The months of the year,

Like our minds influenced by thoughts,

Experiences,

Things we see and hear and all of that can be tumultuous.

And so with our meditation today we will be diving below the surface of the mind to the very calm and still place that is always accessible.

It's part of who you are,

It's hardwired into all of our brains.

As humans we have this capacity to rest and to be still and so positioning yourself comfortably now I'd like you to connect in firstly with your breathing,

Be aware of the gentle rise and fall of your breathing and how that can also relate to the images of waves receding into the ocean and then moving forward on the shore.

You might like to imagine yourself walking towards the shoreline,

It's a peaceful quiet kind of day and you're feeling really rested and relaxed.

Your mind might be quite busy,

Had lots of things to attend to,

To work out but now you're just allowing yourself to imagine being at the shoreline of this beautiful beach looking out to the ocean and just noticing yeah what's the surface like,

Taking that in and then just finding a nice protected spot where you can sit and rest and you can hear the soothing sounds of the ocean,

Of the beach,

The waves,

Gentle rise and fall of your breath,

Seeming to be in rhythm with the lapping of the ocean.

And so taking in a big deep breath,

Expanding,

Expanding,

Holding that breath,

Allowing for all those stresses and strains just to be released,

Sending them out on a gentle breeze far,

Far away from you.

That's good and taking in another deep soothing breath as you inhale through the nose,

Holding that and with a smile and a sigh,

Surrendering into complete inner peace.
