Transcript

Begin by finding a comfortable seated position,

Either on a cushion or a chair.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Bring your attention to your breath.

Focus on the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body and allow your mind to become fully present in the moment.

If your mind starts to wander,

Gently bring your attention back to your breath.

Imagine that with each inhale you are breathing in calm and peace and with each exhale you are releasing any anxiety or stress that you may be feeling.

Continue to breathe deeply and focus on your breath for several minutes,

Allowing any tension to release and your mind to become calm and centred.

Take a moment to notice how you feel.

When you are ready,

Take a few more deep breaths and then slowly open your eyes and carry the sense of calm and centredness with you as you go about your day.

Namaste.
