Welcome to a five minute unwind meditation.
If you were taking a nap after this,
Go ahead and lay down.
If not,
I advise you to sit up gently but straight.
We are going to take three cleansing breaths.
As you breathe in,
Feel your body take in the air.
As you breathe out,
You begin to feel your body relax.
Allow these breaths to get larger with each in.
Letting it out through the mouth,
Allow your body to move and relax even deeper into your seat.
You'll feel it from your forehead.
Relaxing your eyes,
Jaw,
All the way down your neck.
Allowing your shoulders to get heavier.
Relaxing down your arms,
You feel the muscles begin to weigh down.
Next,
Your chest,
Stomach,
Relax.
Your hips and legs feel heavy as the muscles relax with every breath out.
Take a moment to thank yourself for being here and allowing yourself to pause and take care of yourself.
Let's begin to connect with the heart.
Slowly guide one or both of your hands to your heart.
Begin to take deep breaths into your heart space.
As you do this,
Think of things you are grateful for.
It could simply be this meditation,
A kind gesture someone gave you today,
With a close on your back.
Allow this feeling of gratitude to flow through your body.
Let the emotion overwhelm with energy.
If it comes through as a color,
Let that wash over you now.
With every breath in,
You are feeling more of this gratitude.
You are worthy of this moment to feel whatever comes up.
This is a safe place and you are deeply loved and seen.
Breathe this in now.
As you breathe out,
Breathe out through your mouth a sound may want to come.
Try to allow it to come with no shame.
This may take a couple times.
Practice as much as you like.
The more you allow for this breath to come through and the sound to come through,
The more emotions may want to overwhelm.
Allow them.
They are okay to feel.
And the more they move through them,
The more that you will heal.
Give yourself a hug and think yourself one more time for being here.
And before moving on with your day,
Sit in this feeling as long as you can.
If possible,
A moment to journal what may have come up.
All is well.
