Hello and welcome to day seven of Insight Timer's Breathwork Challenge.
Time for a deep breath.
Inhale deeply and let out a soothing sigh.
Let's dive into today's session.
This is an active meditation utilizing conscious breathwork where an accelerated pace of faster than normal breathing is done where each inhale and exhale is taken through the mouth.
Should intense bodily sensations or emotions arise,
Feel free to return to the neutral breath and jump right back in whenever you feel safe and connected.
Begin by relaxing the jaw,
Relaxing the forehead as you close down the eyes and begin to turn the gaze inwards.
Part the lips and begin taking your inhales and exhales through the mouth.
Breathing,
The breath come from the low belly,
Letting the chest fill up with air and exhaling completely drawing the navel into the spine.
Stay with this rhythm of breath,
Moving us nice and gently into our practice today.
Let your body sink into the floor.
Notice the points of contact here with the earth.
With every exhale allowing the body to become even more heavy.
Stay with the breath,
Noticing the rise and fall of the chest.
As you exhale,
Releasing even more.
As you inhale,
Finding an expanse in the belly,
Finding an expanse in the chest.
Stay here with this natural pace of breath.
Maybe noticing sensations in the body begin to arise.
Giving yourself permission to feel it all.
And as you're ready,
You can begin to accelerate the breath even more.
Staying with the steady pace,
The steady rhythm of breath.
Keeping the breath with the pulsing of the heart.
Letting each inhale and exhale move you into the next moment.
Letting each inhale and exhale wash over you.
Like the ebb and flow of the tides.
Let yourself drift here even further out.
Finding a sense of ease.
And again,
Giving yourself the invitation here for the body to take up space.
Perhaps shaking out the hips.
Maybe moving the head from side to side.
Or shaking out the wrists and hands.
Stay with the breath.
Notice any memories begin to come into your awareness now.
Simply witnessing them.
And not holding on to any specific moment or thought.
Just allowing them to pass with each exhale.
Releasing tension with each exhale.
Stay with the pattern of breath here.
Letting yourself explore.
Letting yourself come to the edges of your being.
Without trying to change the body and the ways it wishes to express.
Continue to inhale and drawing more energy and as you exhale release the charge.
Accelerating the breath even more now.
Going even further out.
Find your rhythm.
Find your own pace.
Release as the body becomes more and more alive with feeling and sensation.
Let yourself be present here.
Let yourself stay grounded in the moment.
In the body.
Permission to release here with any sound on the exhale.
A long and forceful ha drawing the navel into the spine.
Releasing any judgment.
Let the body be free to move to take any shape it wishes to take up space.
Without holding back stay with this rhythm of breath.
This journey is your own.
This is a journey that no one else can take but you.
Allow yourself to expand.
Allow yourself to take up space.
Removing all judgment.
Removing all self doubt.
And filling up those spaces with joy,
With ease.
With more compassion.
Befriending each aspect of self.
Feel the sweetness here with every inhale and exhale.
If it feels good here,
You can release the pattern of the breath.
Just simply allow yourself to float in this space and time.
In this receptive state allowing yourself to be.
To simply be.
Feel the energy moving through you and to you.
This self generated life force energy held within this luminous body.
Long exhale with any sound.
Letting yourself just rest here.
Holding yourself in the present.
Witnessing yourself come alive.
