Good morning dear respected Thay,
Dear beloved community and welcome to this morning's Looking Deeply meditation.
I hope that you're all well and enjoying Earth Day wherever you may be in the world and even if you're watching this as a recording off the Facebook page then you can count every day as Earth Day.
So we shall be enjoying a guided meditation this morning followed by some mindful movement or silent sitting as time allows and also a short reading to conclude from one of the Deetai's publications.
Feeling very fresh here this morning.
A coolness to the dawn air.
Waking up this morning I smile.
I hope that you're able to smile this morning as we practice together as a community as a Sangha body as an Earth Sangha.
So I invite you now to come to your preferred meditation position that may be seated on a chair with legs or with wheels.
You may have a meditation stool seated on the ground or you may just like to lie and connect with the earth through your bed or through the floor itself.
And if during the meditation you need to move to adjust your position to offer more comfort then please do.
If we bring to mind the possibility of being in our virtual Sangha hall together we can make any movement in mindfulness so as not to disturb our sisters our brothers our siblings.
So you may like to close your eyes or keep them partially open.
Slowly relaxing into our meditation posture.

Connecting to the solidity of the floor below us.
Aware of my whole body I breathe in.

Designers bags you you you you experiencing the slowing rhythm of my heartbeat I breathe in knowing that without my heart I would not be I breathe out slowing heart heart essential for being you you you you experiencing the pulsing of blood around my body I breathe in knowing that without the water in my body my blood will not be I breathe out pulsing blood water essential for blood you you you you you you aware of stability and protection of my skeleton I breathe in knowing that without earth minerals in my skeleton would not support and protect me I breathe out stable skeleton minerals supporting protecting you you you you you you you you you you understanding that without the plant species I could not eat or breathe I breathe in aware that without the plant species I would not be I breathe out no plants no air no food plants into our are my survival you you you you understanding that without the animal kingdom from the microbe to the blue whale I cannot live I breathe in aware that without the animal kingdom I would not be I breathe out no animals no life animals into our you you you you aware that the mycelium and fungal network connect and support life on earth I breathe in knowing that without the mycelium and fungal network we could not be I breathe out mycelium and fungal network support life without mycelium and fungal network know us you you you you you can give what you like so seeing that I into am with all the systems and species of Mother Earth I I breathe in.
Understanding that this interbeing is essential for my existence,
I breathe out.
Into Am with Mother Earth systems.
Into being essential.
You you you you aware of the stability of Mother Earth beneath me,
I breathe in.
Knowing that Gaia is my foundation,
My life,
I breathe out.
Stable on Mother Earth,
Gaia as life and foundation.
You you you you aware of the interbeing nature of my whole Earth body,
I breathe in.
Smiling to the interbeing nature of my whole Earth body,

You you you you so dear friends I invite you now to slowly bring some movement back into your body you may like to stretch or massage any body parts that have become stuck or painful may like to massage your face your shoulders lifting the spine stretching out I see that time has slipped by slightly you may like to just enjoy a few moments of silent sitting together breathing as one sanga body you breathing as one Earth body you you you you so dear friends we shall conclude this morning's practice session with a short reading from one of the attire's publications this is from then and the art of saving the planet when we are free we can answer the call of the earth I'm here a child of yours we recognize that we are part of the wonder and we can say I'm free free from everything that is preventing me from being fully alive and you can count on me when you wake up and you see that the earth is not just the environment the earth is us you touch the nature of interbeing and at that moment you can have real communication with the earth that is the highest form of prayer in that kind of relationship you will have the love strength and awakening you need to change your life the truth is that many of us have become alienated from the earth we forget that we are alive here on a beautiful planet and that our body is given to us by the earth and the whole cosmos if the earth has been able to offer life it is because she too has non-earth elements in her including the Sun and stars humankind is made of stars the earth is not only the earth but the cosmos only when you have this right view this insight will discrimination no longer be there and there will be deep communication and communion between you and the earth all kinds of good things will come from it you will transcend the dualistic way of seeing things the idea that the earth is not only the environment and that you are in the center and that you only want to do something for the earth so you can survive when you breathe in and become aware of your body and look deeply into your body and realize that you are the earth that your consciousness is also the consciousness of the earth that can become liberated consciousness free from all distractions and wrong views you are doing what mother earth is expecting you to do to getting light and to become a Buddha so that you can help all living beings not even on the earth but ultimately on other planets you so dear friends that concludes today's practice session together thank you for coming together as a community as a global earth sangha may you enjoy small beauties that mother earth has to offer throughout the day on Earth Day be well dear friends you
