Welcome to this blissful morning.
Bliss flows from gratitude.
As gratitude begins to flow,
It invokes happiness.
And when the gratitude overflows,
Happiness turns into bliss,
Into that nectar,
That mind mana,
The nectar,
The food of the gods.
I welcome you to enjoy the bliss for the next few moments.
So take a seat.
Any comfortable space where for the next few moments,
You can allow yourself to experience deep bliss.
As you sit,
Ensure that your feet are not hanging in the air.
Ensure that your back is either straight or is supported into some straightness.
And if it's comfortable,
Close your eyes.
If not,
Allow your gaze to fall on the ground below.
And allow yourself to move in.
As you move in,
You might notice a sudden quiet,
A sense of stillness,
A sense of calm.
And for some,
There could be some anxiety.
But even when there is anxiety,
The anxiety comes just the moment after the sense of calm,
The sense of quiet.
Allow yourself to enjoy the first moment of the silence,
Of the quiet,
Of the calm.
Then you might notice your breath as you stay in the silence.
Allow yourself to notice the movement of the breath in the body.
You may find either moving in towards the belly,
Rising and falling,
Or the chest rising and falling.
Some may even notice the breath entering the nostrils and exiting the nostrils.
Just be aware of wherever and however you notice the breath and its movement in the body.
And now,
I invite you to bring to your mind the last meal you ate.
Whatever and wherever was the last meal you ate.
Doesn't matter who was there.
Doesn't matter where you were.
Doesn't matter what the meal was.
Just bring to mind the last meal.
This food was there in the plate with the bowl.
Where did this food come from?
Who made the food?
Who brought it in this plate to you?
Who prepared it?
Who got the material that was needed to prepare it?
What all material went into preparing this food?
Maybe you got it or somebody bought it from some shop.
Who are all the people who would be needed to run this shop,
Ensuring that you or somebody could buy from this shop?
From where did all of this material travel to this shop?
Who are all the people who run the godowns from where all of this material travels to this shop?
From where it comes to your house?
How did this material come to the godown,
Come to the shop?
What vehicles does it travel in?
Who are the people who drive these vehicles?
Who are the people who manufacture and create and make these vehicles?
Who are the people who grow your food?
How is your food grown?
What are the elements?
What are the beans that contribute to the food that you eat to grow?
Maybe the farmers,
Maybe some tools.
What about the sunlight,
The water,
The manure?
What about the mulch from the leaves,
From the trees?
What about all of those very many beans in the ground,
In the mud that make the soil fertile in which the food grows?
What about the air,
The all essential air?
What about the right temperature,
The right heat,
The right coolness,
The right climate?
What about life-giving water?
What about the seed?
From where did the seed?
From which the food first grew out?
From where did the seed come?
And all of these people and all of these beans,
And we've not even counted them all,
All of these very many beans together worked to get to you your last meal.
Notice how this sits with you.
Notice what this brings for you.
Notice how the body feels.
And if you're so-called,
Take a moment to just be grateful that all the beans and all the systems work the way they work to feed you,
To nourish you every single moment,
Every single day,
Every single week,
Month,
Year after year after year.
Allow your heart to sleep in,
To sink in,
This gratitude,
This sense,
Subtle sense of pure gift.
This gift has no price.
It's unconditional.
It's without a price.
It's what a gift truly is,
A gift.
And all that I can do in exchange for this gift is to be grateful.
Allow yourself for a moment to just be grateful.
And whenever you feel ready,
Bring your awareness back to the breath and the way it moves in your body.
And then notice the air in the space you're in,
Touching your skin.
And as you open your eyes into the world,
Bring with you,
Bring from your inner world a sense of gratitude,
Overflowing to make this day a blissful,
Beautiful day.
Have a blissful day ahead.
