Namaste.
Welcome to the world of meditation.
Today we are going to become aware of our awareness.
Before we begin,
I would invite you to come into a straight spine position,
Sitting on a chair or cross leg,
Whatever is comfortable for you,
And gently beginning to close your eyes,
Trying to relax your body,
Trying to let go of tension in any part of you.
Taking a long,
Deep inhale as you do so,
Expanding your belly,
And exhale,
Allowing the belly to contract.
Inhaling deeply,
And exhale,
Allowing the belly to contract.
Last breath,
Inhaling deeply,
And exhale,
Allowing the belly to contract.
Keeping your eyes closed here,
Today we are going to bring our awareness,
On awareness,
On what it means to be aware.
Awareness is something we can place on multiple objects around us,
Through our senses.
Awareness can also be placed internally on our emotions,
On our memories.
A lot of the time,
Awareness just happens to us.
We become aware of things by accident almost.
So in this meditation,
We are going to try to exercise our ability to control awareness.
To begin with,
I would ask you to place your awareness on your right knee,
Shifting your awareness to your left knee,
Moving your awareness to your belly,
And now moving it to the point in between your eyebrows.
Now I would like you to visualize the sunrise,
Bringing your awareness to that image,
That inner mental image of the sunrise,
And then moving your awareness to a childhood memory,
A positive memory that is strong in your mind.
And lastly,
Moving your awareness to today,
To one goal that you would like to accomplish before the end of the day.
And once you're done bringing your awareness back to your breath,
And whenever you're ready,
You can slowly begin to open your eyes.
We can control our awareness and move it to different objects.
Through meditation,
We are refining our ability to control and pinpoint our awareness.
By doing this,
We can be more present with whatever it is that we wish to do.
Thank you for joining me today,
And I'll see you very soon on your next meditation.
Namaste.
