Hello,

My friend.

Thank you for taking this moment to acknowledge your spirit and for connecting it with mine.

We all face challenges in our work that can leave us feeling overwhelmed,

Scattered and distracted.

Let us take a moment together to center the mind,

Allowing it to return to its natural state of clarity and focus,

Where challenges can be overcome easily.

Sit in an upright position and close your eyes.

Allow your hands to rest in your lap or on the armrests of your chair.

Relax your neck and soften your shoulders.

Now take a deep breath through your nose,

Expanding your chest and taking the air down into your rising navel.

Hold your breath there for three seconds.

Now release the breath slowly through your mouth until you feel all the air has escaped.

Take in another deep breath through your nose,

Filling your abdomen like a balloon.

Hold that breath for three seconds.

Then release the breath through your mouth,

Allowing all of it to escape.

Now take one last deep breath in the same way.

Hold it again for three seconds.

Allow it all to escape through your mouth.

Feel your body begin to relax as you allow your breathing now to resume a normal natural rhythm.

Gently focus your awareness on your body.

Begin with your feet.

Notice where you feel the sensation of them touching the floor.

Become aware of how you are sitting.

Where do you feel the chair holding you up or the floor you are sitting on?

Consider the temperature of your body.

Are you hot?

Cold?

Where do you feel it?

What sensations do you notice against your skin?

Continue this grounding by paying attention to the natural rhythm of your breathing.

Notice your body gently rise and then fall with each breath.

Rise and fall.

Rise and fall.

Feel the air flowing past your nostrils as you inhale and then again as you exhale.

Hold this attention with each breath you take.

When your mind wanders and a thought occurs,

Simply bring your awareness back to your breathing.

Rising,

Falling.

Rising,

Falling.

Rising,

Falling.

Rising,

Falling.

By taking this moment to refocus,

You are allowing your mind to pause and reset,

Returning to a calm,

Clear and centered state.

Your mind is no longer being swept along by the current of your anxiety.

It is now under your control,

At your disposal to engage in successfully resolving any challenge or problem you encounter.

As soon as you are ready,

Open your eyes,

Wiggle your toes,

Move your fingers and go forth with the knowing that your mind is now equipped to serve your best interests and drive your success.

Ignition.

This was great for when I need that mid-morning focus. I really appreciate it taking the time to focus on my breathing and to notice my body and the way it feels at the workplace. I am thankful and appreciate this meditation
