Welcoming It Back Home
Bring your attention back and let it rest in the Ground of your Being...All is brought back to the sense of ease, well being, contentment, Silence. The only refuge there is. The mind relaxes in the sense of wellbeing.

So,
I keep repeating sort of the same sequence because really that's all there is actually.
And the other is you become very familiar,
It's very simple.
And it's not in some perceived idea of a awake consciousness,
It's coming back,
Bringing your attention back inside of the body,
Coming down to a place of ease and rest and comfort and union and home,
Gathering all of the children back that has been kicked out of the mother's lap.
And she didn't even know it,
She had so many.
It's just right here in this moment,
No achieving,
No doing,
No trying,
No becoming.
Bring your attention back and let it rest in the ground of your being.
And it's within you.
And it's anchored in the body because the body is your constant companion until it drops and the body is a beautiful microcosm of the macrocosm of eternity,
Of the infinite.
Within you it all is.
And when you can find that sense of ease and being held and holding,
The paradox of settling back,
Of being at home,
Content,
And you can access that moment by moment by moment,
Then whatever rolls across the waves of appearance,
It may unsettle the waters a bit,
But it doesn't take you away from the fundamental truth of this ease and well-being and at home and content right here as it is.
This is the refuge.
It's the only refuge there is.
There is not another refuge.
Everything changes,
Comes and goes,
And bursts and dies.
Everything.
And though the mind can grab that and,
You know,
Oh my God,
I can't deal with that,
It just relaxes and it relaxes in the well-being and then it can enjoy the show and there's actual a kind of wonder,
A beauty.
It may be even a horrible beauty,
But there's still a beauty from this.
It's the Navajo prayer,
You know,
Beauty before me,
Beauty behind me,
Beauty all the way through and all around.
And immediately you can sense,
You can sense the shift of the atmosphere within the room.
You can sense a settling down in the body,
You know,
That kind of yearning,
Trying to understand,
Trying to relate,
Not relating,
Whatever those appearances were.
You can go below the appearance.
You can go below the thinking mind.
And you actually can go below any sensations that are happening within the body as well.
And though there is this profound silence,
Stillness,
There's also a kind of a singing,
An arising,
A palpable quality of aliveness that pours from this deep settled whole,
Complete and content home.
I'm home right here.
And yet it's not like that kind of deadened,
Stagnant kind of a quality.
It's very alert,
It's alive,
It's vibrant,
It's rich.
You know,
Many,
That richness,
That aliveness,
That first permeation of movement.
And it's energetically perceived.
You know,
The body is an instrument of perception.
It perceives itself through the body.
Or,
You know,
It would just be consciousness.
And that open perception,
That richness,
That aliveness actually is the bliss body.
What we've been taught so much about bliss is it's that that arises and then that subsides.
But that's something else.
That's a peak,
Peak bliss.
And what comes up must come down.
That this,
That I'm speaking of and pointing to is that aliveness that's,
It's a constant.
It's just,
You know,
We can call it bliss,
But you know,
It's just this singing of itself.
It's this reflecting of itself.
It's this joyous recognizing of itself.
And each cell wakes up and sings.
It's beautiful.
And not taking away any sense of that deep,
Deep,
Deep subtleness.
In fact,
It's an illusion that it stops anywhere.
You know,
It's constantly deepening.
It's infinite.
And so it's like in a way the paradox is it's falling through space,
That floor that seems to be I've arrived somewhere or here I am or,
You know,
Whatever that self-reflection is.
That just keeps falling out.
That's the floor that just keeps falling out,
Falling out,
Falling out,
Falling out,
Falling out,
Falling out.
It never ends.
And yet again,
The paradox is that something seems to rise up.
There's this great ascending quality that comes up from the earth and even,
Of course,
Way before the earth and up through the channels within the body.
And it holds,
It's stable.
So the mind can't hold those two together.
It has to come below the mind before then you just actually experience it.
It's an actuality.
Something is very stable,
The iron mountain.
And at the same time,
There's no bottom.
There's no landing.
There's no location that someone,
You know,
Lands in.
So it's a sense of openness of space.
And then that bliss quality,
That alive quality that it just starts to then sing.
You know,
There's a certain tradition that calls that silence actually comes out of stillness and silence is the first emanation of sound,
Which is sort of interesting.
And it's that aliveness,
It's that vibrancy,
It's the essence of life itself.
And it's singing and it sings itself into body and mountain and bird and tree.
The whole thing.
The whole thing.
All of it.
And so as it begins to move and it begins to arise and the fountain is a perfect metaphor because it seems to come from the deep below,
The deep before,
And where it's totally silence and totally still and absolutely infinite.
Absolutely totally infinite.
And yet as it arises,
There's that quality of it's sort of like an ascending.
And it ascends and it meets itself.
And again,
If you want to sort of explore how the energy actually moves or expresses itself,
It meets itself in the great descent.
And so there's the divine and it's pouring into the body and into life.
And it's being constantly met as it rises up and meets itself.
So you know,
Different traditions speak of it in different ways,
But they all point out the very same,
How it works.
You know,
It's that central channel that just is constantly circulating,
Arising and descending,
But it meets itself.
So it isn't like a separate channel.
Not really.
But in this particular exploration,
There is a bit of an emphasis on that arises.
And it arises as it meets itself as the divine descends.
So that meeting place is really helpful to experientially,
You know,
See for yourself what that is.
And that's the causeless joy.
And that's the gratitude or appreciation that is not cultivated.
It just naturally is.
It's in that arising and it spills out as gratitude,
As wonder.
And so as best as you can sense that within your system,
Sense that,
You know,
Within the interior of your body,
That light field arising and meeting itself and just this unfathomable gratitude and beauty of itself,
The awe of itself.
That's the love without object.
Nothing is calling it out.
It's just in its own natural state that is the natural state.
So in this exploration of love coming back for itself,
This is a vital piece.
It can't be skipped over.
Because if you attempt to do this,
I am love,
Love is pouring through my eyes,
Then,
You know,
It may eventually make yourself available to this love without object,
The natural state of love.
But my encouragement is to go direct,
So to speak,
Right here.
It's not hidden from you.
It's what you are.
And so if your attention is locked into your head or your attention is locked on,
You know,
This is bunk or blah,
Blah,
Blah,
Or wherever it's going,
Just gently from this loving,
Open quality of arising and meeting itself continuously,
This bliss body that's awake that does not come and go.
It's just the awakened being.
And then just in this very,
Very simple kind of invitation,
And I would encourage to be very awake in your body as much as is possible.
But don't be bound or stopped by the boundary of your body.
And the attention,
It's open attention.
It includes the body,
But if you see it carefully,
The body is actually within this loving,
Open attention.
So there's a simultaneous point of attention,
And it's deep and settled inside of the body.
That's the anchor.
And yet then it just opens up and it includes all of the vast space that's through and around the body equally.
And again,
You'll just find your way with that.
It isn't like it's not available.
It's just a matter of bringing the attention in and letting it open up.
Because as an awake being,
Your attention,
It's not contracted,
But yet it equally holds the image or the form or the appearance within it.
It's all one thing.
The bones and the cloud are made up of the same substance.
And so as you let it extend to the sides and the above and the below,
And you kind of get that sense of the body is held within it.
And for some of you,
The body may just completely disappear,
You know,
And that's fine,
But at least hold a kind of a little bit of a center point.
Because if you move too far out,
You become too spacious,
There's no conditioning.
It doesn't exist.
It just goes,
Boom.
Now what was the problem?
So it's helpful to hold the two together.
And you know,
It's just,
It's practice.
Or you just stumble into it.
And then in that,
I'm here.
I'm deeply anchored,
Rooted into the interior of the body,
And yet the extension,
The expansion is unlimited.
And just play a game.
It's a little game.
It'll go away.
And that little game is like letting that extension,
That expansion sort of move in front of yourself a little bit.
You're holding it,
And yet you're moving in front a little bit.
So it's like a welcoming.
You know,
When someone comes to your home and you welcome them,
You sort of extend yourself a little bit.
You go,
Welcome.
Oh,
I'm so glad you're here.
It's so wonderful that we can be together like this.
So it's that welcoming quality.
So you extend that expanded attention a little bit.
And then whatever works for you.
You know,
It's like if you were a child and no one ever called you sweetheart,
You get a chance as this loving,
Unconditional,
Welcoming awareness to say sweetheart.
And if that's just too silly and embarrassing,
Then just say,
What has not been fully touched and included by this love?
Let it be welcomed here.
Let it be welcomed here.
So there's an extension,
And then it's also called back in this very intimate kind of a quality.
And what is it?
That absolutely you have not ever been able to speak or to say to anyone,
Anyone,
I'm here.
I'm available.
I'm listening.
This love that you are made up of is totally unconditional.
It's not trying to be unconditional.
It's not capable of being conditional.
All is welcomed here.
And perhaps again,
Since this is a game,
You can do anything that you want.
You can imagine maybe as a very,
Very young child and being totally isolated from everyone around.
And either there was no interest or asking or inviting or calling you out in any form,
Or you received a lot of unwanted attention,
A lot of anger,
A lot of control,
This authoritative quality that had no compassion,
No understanding.
It was just pouring out of fear and ignorance.
That's what it all is.
So what would that child actually say if it could speak unconditionally?
Or what would that child ask for?
It's an image.
But right now we're playing a game.
We're making it intimate and personal.
We're bringing the humanness in.
They can't be divided.
Or is there something that has been held so profoundly,
So deeply,
So completely,
That you simply don't want to carry it anymore?
I'm here.
This is unconditional.
This is a welcoming.
All is welcomed here.
What's actually going on,
What's actually happening when the need to defend or to project or to judge or to push away or to declare your loneliness or your lack or your rage,
Whatever it is that one,
The ego declares,
What actually is it covering up?
I'm here.
I'm listening.
I'm available.
I'm touching.
That's why it's so important to extend this love in.
That's actually energetically what's going on.
It's going in to that that the light has not shown.
It's been shadowed,
Clouded over.
And it's entering into that shadow.
And then it's saying,
What do you have to say?
What is it that you want to free up to liberate?
What is your weariness of carrying forth what maybe was never even yours?
Your father's anger,
Your mother's fear,
Your cultural collective memory.
It can be a simple,
I'm just setting this down.
And the love is witnessing that.
The love is dissolving that.
The love is participating with that.
The love is permeating that.
It can be that simple.
What has not ever been touched by this?
And we're encouraging,
Answering,
Or creating a question without the answer.
This is an open question.
If there's a response,
And there will be,
It can come in an insight.
It can come as you're walking across the floor.
It can come in a dream.
Or it can come in just a simple welcoming and inquiry,
And something responds to it.
What is it in one's life that that contraction happens,
The ego flares up,
And it is righteous or it defends,
Or it's fearful?
There's some kind of a contracted response.
What is that?
What is,
What's that about?
I'm here.
I'm listening.
I'm available to whatever wants to be spoken or seen.
What pours through this attention,
Through this heart,
Through this listening,
Through this seeing,
Is the portal of love itself.
What's actually happening here?
Perhaps bringing forth what causes the greatest point of suffering in this personal life.
It comes up over and over and over again.
And if it's hidden,
I'm willing to witness this.
I'm willing to hold this.
I'm willing to touch this.
All is welcome here.
There is no exception.
So it's really the quality of welcoming,
Of openness,
Of listening,
Of seeing.
That's really the truth of what's happening when love comes back for itself.
If you don't need the personal listening,
Seeing,
Loving,
Then do what works.
The principles are the same.
Love is pouring forth.
It's welcoming.
It's entering.
It's touching.
It's permeating.
It's listening.
And it's seeing.
That that has been encapsulated with fear and defense and protection is being dissolved.
And the contents of that encapsulation is being revealed.
It's being made conscious.
And then it is no more.
It no longer exists in any way.
The seeing,
The listening,
The loving is the solvent.
It's like a moth to the flame.
So you'll find your way because that wisdom is directing your life.
And this is the wisdom and the love that if there's just this openness,
Just this a little bit of an allowance,
A little bit of an exploration,
It will just rush forth on its own.
There's no need to control it or direct it or anything.
And from this that is undivided,
This love that is undivided,
This unfathomable vastness,
The great horizontal,
Bound and supported and fed and nourished by the great horizontal or the great vertical,
The cross.
It's the real true meaning of the cross.
Not just the suffering that we were all brought up with,
But the functional true ground of being.
And when that completely opens,
Then there is the seeing,
Not a nice spiritual concept,
But the actual seeing that what is freed up in this individual,
Because it is all one,
Is freed up through and through and through and through.
It doesn't just stop at the ancestral lineage,
It doesn't just stop at the cultural freeing up,
It doesn't just stop at whatever it is that you're still identified as.
It moves through like ripples in a still pond and it frees and dissolves through and through and through.
The greatest thing you can do on the planet at this particular time is to open as this.
There are great beings that have spent lifetimes just doing this.
What has been recognized here is now possible for all beings equally.
That was both the Christ and the Buddhas' recognition.
So I encourage you to just take a little,
You know,
It's such a small amount of time in your life.
Just this one day.
And I don't mean slogging in the swamp,
But as this love put as much attention,
More attention,
The attention on this loving,
Unconditional welcoming and listening and seeing as you do in trying to work something out that's been immovable within your body-mind structure.
And the question,
Because in most cases what's running the whole show is still quite unconscious.
You know,
We look at it layer by layer by layer by layer and it gets clearer and clearer and clearer.
But really what's being asked here is the willingness to go all the way to the actual core of it.
And it may have no image,
No memory or no voice,
But it's listening to the voices that layer it,
That's sort of on top of it,
That allows you to really enter into it.
And it comes in just a great deal of clarity,
A great rush of bound vitality.
It can maybe come as a great rush of emotion and you don't even know what it's about.
Others,
You know,
Maybe it's certain kriyas that unlock within the system.
You know,
It's quite unique.
There's no one way.
But there's a sense of participation.
There's a sense of engagement.
There's a sense of welcoming.
There's a sense of being that,
That's unlocking.
And then we'll create,
You know,
A little different time where we can explore quite precisely than what is arising upon the earth that you have a particular horror about and see if you can find that within you.
And I speak of the greater you.
You know,
A runaway ego that doesn't know it's a runaway ego actually creates great horror.
So where are you?
And I speak of the greater you.
That runaway ego.
How does that play out in you?
It's usually,
If you have any kind of consciousness,
One of your most horrible possibilities is that you'd be on public television and it'd be a runaway ego.
There's nothing hardly worse,
Right,
At a bad haircut along with it.
I mean,
It's like beyond,
Beyond,
Beyond,
Right?
There's nothing more horrible than that.
But a runaway ego doesn't know it.
So I'm just encouraging,
I'm just,
You know,
Throwing a lot in.
But if there's a focus here,
It's,
The focus is first come in to yourself.
And when I say that,
I mean love.
Love that's unconditional.
It can't be conditional.
It's not possible for it to be conditional.
And love that is impersonal and yet it is so intimate.
It is so intimate.
I mean,
That's why we all as personalities love to fall in love so much,
Right?
Because just for a little short period of time,
If you're lucky,
You can meet each other in that juicy,
Intimate,
Connected,
Engaged,
Interested way.
And so be that for yourself.
Be that lover that's interested and wants to know,
Wants to hear,
Wants to touch,
Wants to.
.
.
So if you just jump into the inquiry without spending a little time to open up,
You may have some benefit,
But it's not really what's being pointed out here.
It will not fill the hungry ghosts that still remain.
And what would it be like if rather than wanting someone else in her life to fill those hungry ghosts,
We are okay or not okay according to their conditioning bouncing off of,
You know,
My conditioning?
What would that be like if that could be brought back and loved?
What kind of power is that?
It's the ultimate power.
The self-empowerment.
You are not responsible for my well-being.
Whatever kind of mood you are in or not in has nothing to do with this love flowing forth and coming back into itself even greater.
That we can dance as love together.
And we welcome in this love all that has not been touched and permeated,
And it finally can lie down and dissolve.
It's one of the great movements of incarnation is this dissolution,
This liberation.
And then there's a certain moment where it's like,
Oh,
I get to love that back home.
What a great thing.
How wonderful.
Yeah,
More,
More.
Greater fire.
Greater,
Greater,
Greater,
Greater the fire.
Yes,
Yes.
That too.
That too.
Sometimes here there's just an arising of that over and over and over and over and over and over.
Whatever's happening.
That too.
That too.
Make no exception.
That too.
That too.
And then there's a moment.
And there's no personalization.
There's no love welcoming anything.
That is just naturally happening as it's designed to do.
So the pouring in of love into that that just didn't receive it for whatever reason is the greatest revolutionary act that can be done on the planet.
And then when that's completely full,
It begins to pour into whatever is calling it forth,
Unconditionally and without exception.
And then one lives as the love without object.
And even in the valley of the shadows of death I am with thee.
So there's just a few more minutes so if we could just sit together in silence and whatever happens if you want to play a little game and participate in the way that's been sort of suggested,
Great.
If you want to just see what it's like to just come from love,
Great.
Just fully welcome what's already happening which is the spirit is directing and living through you,
Through and through and through you.
And then you the spirit and you the reflection of the spirit,
There is no separation.
That bridge has been formed.
As the fountain of love which is your attention,
Love pours through your attention,
Turn it back onto oneself and do not move until it's completely full and flowing over.
And if an image or a voice or an experience flows up through that love,
Let that be.
But the focus is not to get rid of,
To make go away,
The focus is to include and welcome and touch and permeate.
I am the fountain that love pours through unto myself continuously.
I am the fountain that love pours through unto myself continuously.
I am the fountain that love pours through unto myself continuously.
I am the fountain that love pours through unto myself continuously.
I am the fountain that love pours through unto myself continuously.
I am the fountain that love pours through unto myself continuously.
So I encourage to,
You know we've got a gorgeous day,
Maybe you'll take a walk,
You know the creek's down that direction,
You can walk there,
Sit in the courtyard wherever you want.
Just keep that up,
Right,
The love prominently and just keep inviting.
It's only a few hours out of your life,
It's not too much to give.
And it changes everything.
And then life becomes an opportunity to love rather than to defend and protect and compensate.
It's the most revolutionary act you can do.
It makes the most difference in the planet and to all beings.
Then maybe you'll finally recycle.
But it comes out of love,
Right?
