This profound guided meditation focuses on using the body to connect with the ground of being. "The life force itself supports the body. That sense of being held, of being safe, it's all well here, let that come up and permeate the body. It's the natural state."

There's a place in the body that actually,

If it's just allowed,

It just settles and relaxes.

You know,

It kind of,

It comes back to what naturally is happening,

Which the flesh or the clothing of the body,

It goes into the cushion and the cushion actually comes up into the flesh and into the muscle.

So that very strong definition or boundary,

This is my leg,

This is the cushion,

It dissolves here.

And so since that,

It's actually helpful to let the body dive into or enter into the cushion and then the cushion comes up into the legs and the hips.

And so that artificial boundary dissolves because there is no actual artificial boundary.

It's just frequency,

You know,

That's moving at different rhythms.

That's all it is.

And then just that sense of,

And it's a lovely image to use,

It's like the mother and we're talking about the good mother,

The mother we've always wanted,

And the child that sits in and settles back into the mother's lap.

And so it's surrounded and it's loved and it's infused by this love and all is well here.

All is perfectly safe here.

And if you just sense the back muscles in the tailbone,

Those little tiny muscles along the spine,

They naturally just relax,

They let go.

It's not in that fight or flight,

It's like,

You know,

That old ancient structure of the body that the tailbone is like the tail,

Right?

It kind of draws it all up and then it runs.

Well,

When you're at home,

The true home,

Then it just naturally drops on its own.

You know,

In yoga sometimes they call that the heavy tail.

And the back is,

There's the experience of it actually being supported.

The chair actually is reaching out and supporting the spine and the muscles and the back.

I mean,

It's so lovely.

I mean,

You know,

Everything is supported and offered.

You know,

When you walk on the floor,

The floor supports you.

It reaches up and supports you.

And you're nourished by the elements,

Earth,

Rocks,

Sky,

Air,

Sun,

Fire.

So just experience that within your system,

That nourishment.

And that support,

The cushion,

The chair,

Or even the actual muscles you know,

The muscles support the spine.

I had a wonderful yoga teacher that kept talking about that the prana,

The life force itself,

The being itself was what actually supported the body.

It allowed the body to stand up and to sit up and to,

It supported the spine and I loved that.

Yeah.

And so that sense of being held,

That sense of being safe,

It's all well here.

Let that come up and permeate the body.

It's the natural state,

But it's been overwhelmed or overridden by the nervous system,

You know,

Has been too stimulated or the trauma in one's life,

You know,

Doesn't allow the natural state to actually be experienced.

It overlays it and that attention is drawn to the discomfort and the unsafety because it's habitualized or it's absorbed from another parent,

Culture,

Life experiences.

So one of the most healing gifts that you can give yourself is to give this experience,

To wake up this experience of settledness,

Of well-being,

Of being held by,

Nourished and informed by,

Guided by the primordial ground.

It contains everything.

It's the womb of it all,

Of all form and the invisible as well.

And just sense the body knows it's home.

It doesn't have to be,

You know,

You don't have to go through all these teachings and explorations and all of that,

Though that's helpful,

It's very,

It's actually very beneficial to have that mental structure.

But the body doesn't need that.

It's just these simple pointers,

Relax,

Let go,

Drop,

Open up.

It doesn't make any,

You know,

It's not enough instruction for the mind but for the body it's just like,

Oh yeah,

Okay,

Here I am.

And let the offering of the everything actually come in.

The power and the magnificent and the strength and the ancient wisdom of the mountains,

It's a real palpable offering.

And water rises out of the ground,

Out of the earth body and it's recognized by this body called me that actually is one and the same of the earth body,

Microcosm,

Macrocosm.

And the air that is that transparent light,

Awake,

Vibrant quality and it cleanses the cells and the system and it refreshes and it also informs,

You know,

You start listening to the wind and the wind carries like guidance and knowledge and from all of the earth.

And you see wise ones,

The indigenous wise ones and they stop and they listen to the wind and it speaks.

And the vibrancy of the sun,

The life-giving sun.

And it permeates the physicality,

The seemingly,

You know,

Barrier.

It actually permeates into the cells of the body and the body because they're also made up of the sun,

The fire,

The light.

It responds,

You know,

It descends and it ascends.

There's a rising up and meeting itself and there's a great descent that comes up unto itself and is received and replenished and renewed,

Revitalized.

And that sense of in and out,

It's helpful when you're beginning to break long habits of mind identity.

It's very helpful if you can sort of bring the attention in the inner.

It's very helpful because it's breaking a habit of the attention is always going out and scanning all of the info and the information and the images and then,

You know,

Making assumptions and all sorts of ideas or affirmed or negated by this constant scanning of the appearances in front of the eyes.

So it's helpful to bring the attention behind the eyes and drop it and anchor it within the body.

It's very helpful.

But then there's a certain point where the inner and the outer actually dissolves.

And though there's a strong perception of here I am within the body,

It's equally open and I am all around the body and above and below the body.

So in a certain kind of way the body becomes suspended,

Though it doesn't have that airy flighty out of the body feeling.

It's very here,

Stable,

Present.

But it doesn't exclude the space,

The expansiveness of the everything.

There's different names,

You know,

Different traditions have different names for the vastness of being.

And find something that speaks to you and let it change as you open up and mature.

And so that deep sense of stillness,

I'm here,

There's a feeling of well-being,

There's a feeling of being held and contained in this loving embrace,

This loving inclusion,

This loving kind of curiosity,

Engagement of his creation.

It loves his creation called the me.

It adores it.

It's just like how wonderful this unique being that has been created out of silence and the arising of light and love and the great Shakti,

The great creatrix.

How wonderful.

I adore it.

So sense that adoration of itself,

Of its own creation.

How marvelous.

And then sense almost as a little bit of a self-exploration,

You know,

Really extend the boundaries in that horizontal,

Like that boundary to the left.

Really let that open attention and awareness go way over to the left and even beyond these walls out into the sky and into the mountains and into the clouds and into the vibrant radiance of the sun.

And the same with the right,

You know,

Just like way to the wall boundary of this room and then beyond that.

It's just like the sense of I am in this body and bound by its boundary.

That's a dream.

And being bound by this room,

It's a dream.

You know,

Many traditions point to the unfurling of the wings and that's what it's pointing to.

It's unbound.

It's free.

It's fast.

It's alive.

It's alert.

It's brilliant.

And all form is held within it.

Everything without exception is created from and held and then dissolves back unto itself continuously.

And so from that,

Like the horizontal opening and the top of the head,

You know,

It also,

It's when you really get a sense that the crown,

The top of the head,

It's like there is no covering.

The skull kind of opens up and it becomes transparent and it connects to the divine.

That's the great descent,

The divine.

And so many,

You know,

They just,

They never enter that.

And so we walk around in these human experiences without the,

Not only the brilliance and the radiance and the guidance and the informing of the divine.

We've cut off that channel.

And it's constantly pouring into the life.

And then the great ascent,

You know,

It comes out of the stillness and it arises and it spills forth and it strengthens and it nourishes and it renews continuously.

And you are that.

And yet the human,

That human stillness,

The I that is awake in form,

The I that is awake in the midst the I that is awake in the midst of the me,

It's fully present.

And the mind cannot hold those two together.

It will choose this or that.

So it's only from this open attention,

This open recognition,

This open being that it can hold to simultaneous.

The I in the midst of the me,

The human life and the I that is totally impersonal.

One in the same.

The I is the central channel.

And there is no beginning and there is no end.

It's eternal.

And then not in any way diminishing this,

This vastness,

This openness,

This aliveness,

This freedom of being.

Not in any way diminishing that.

Just find an anchor inside of the physicality and let it find itself where it wants to rest.

For some,

Perhaps it's in the crown,

Where it all just dissolves and sky mind wakes up.

So it's mind that's open.

So it's like the teachers all point to that as sky that then clouds move through and fronts come through and wind and stillness and no clouds and all the appearances just simply come and go in this sky mind.

And that's sort of in the center of the skull,

You know,

The pituitary and it just sort of opens up.

And for others that anchor and it changes and I would encourage for it to experience it changing.

And for others,

You know,

It wants to come behind the heart and then those wings that winged one,

The empty center and the unbound wings.

And that's where there is no division.

There's never been any division.

It doesn't exist there.

And one experiences oneself as the everything.

So that sense of other,

It can't maintain itself.

Though in the relative,

Of course,

You know,

There's sensing and discernment and being drawn and pulling away.

But there's no other that one is,

You know,

Better,

More,

Less,

Up,

Down.

That hierarchy just simply doesn't exist there.

This is where that real sense of before it all divides out.

This is the in life living of before it divides.

You know,

The Buddhists call it,

You know,

The middle way.

Or maybe the attention drops deep in the belly,

You know,

Right below the day or rest right at the pelvic bone.

And that's,

You know,

That iron mountain.

It's stable and still and here.

I will not be swayed,

Right?

No movement out,

No movement in.

Here.

Still.

Present.

And not the lack of sound but true silence.

It's the before sound moves.

It's the before light expresses.

It's the before form coalesces.

So let the wisdom within you find that place of anchoring and exploring itself.

Maybe it's the crown and the pituitary.

Maybe it's in the heart.

Maybe it's in the deep belly.

It wants to know itself.

It wants to experience these vast,

Inner,

Invisible expressions of itself.

Whatever dissolves,

Dissolves.

Whatever opens and whatever comes back to itself and disappears.

Sound,

Sensation,

Thoughts,

All appearances,

Comes up,

Blooms and dissolves unto itself.

Continuously and there's this open,

Global view.

Awake,

Being.

All is present here.

All is free here.

The stainless.

The immaculate.

Pure being.

Including the human body.

Creation.

No more,

No less than the mountain or the grasses or the ground or the animals or on and on and on.

All the great creatrix celebrating itself,

Creating itself continuously.
