Today is an absolutely wonderful day.
I'm so excited for what's to come and I can't wait to smile to my moments.
Actually,
Let me begin that smile right now.
One of the practices I've found to be significantly empowering and nourishing is to set a positive strength intention for my day.
It helps me to set the tone in my mindset and really helps my attention turn towards what it is that I want to cultivate instead of just letting the day sort of happen haphazardly.
Some days my intention is kindness,
Others it's patience.
If I'm working with a team or a group,
Collaboration and deep listening and communication is my highlight.
If the day feels a little edgy or shaky already,
I'm definitely pulling in the strengths and values of hope and optimism.
And what I've found is that when I highlight this value mindset,
Things tend to flow in that direction.
I'm more engaged,
More coherent,
And I feel so much better about the moments.
I feel more connected.
I feel a sense of empowerment and even some personal control.
I meet the changing conditions,
Which always seem to happen,
With a sense of level-headedness and truly more heart,
Which is really what I want to bring into the moments of my life.
So take a moment right now and give yourself a few breaths to settle into however it is that you are.
Just give yourself some space to be right now without a need to do,
To plan,
Even just to create.
Let's give ourselves a few breaths,
Settling into our body,
Relaxing our shoulders,
Relaxing our belly,
And dropping in,
Allowing the body to settle with a few slow breaths,
Allowing our mind to pause,
And just noticing yourself right now.
Recognizing yourself as you are right now is a truly important step in creating a healthy intention for the day.
Where we are is that beginning place,
And when I know where I am,
I can create an easier and simpler pathway to getting to where it is that I want to go.
So imagine your day ahead.
What does it contain?
Are there appointments or meetings?
Are there certain people that you're expected to having conversations with?
Do you have a busy day?
Do you have a pretty easy day?
And what would it be like for you to be your best self,
No matter what your day contains?
How would you like to show up?
In which way would you like to contribute?
What is that backdrop of energy or that front drop of presence?
What strength or virtue would be an important and valuable addition?
Do you have any thoughts or feelings that you would like to share with me?
What would you like to bring forth?
Just take a moment and reflect,
And reflect not just in the mind,
But truly in the feeling sense.
Imagine yourself in the way that you wish your day to be.
Feel what it would be like to move the cadence of your body,
Your physical demeanor,
The expression on your face,
The attentiveness,
The sense of gratitude,
Curiosity,
Maybe a sense of fairness and equanimity,
Diving into that conscious leadership,
Offering kindness,
Maybe a sense of humor.
Just imagine one or two of those strengths being present for you as you move through your day.
And imagine this being your guiding light to all of your interactions,
Adding this texture and flavor in your thought and creating the lens through which you view the world as it shows up.
Just allowing that to resonate and move through your body,
Through your mindset,
Through your whole energy field and smiling to that,
Smiling with that,
Smiling to the possibilities and probabilities that you've already created with this intention setting.
We know that where our intention goes,
Our energy flows,
And today you're filling it with more goodness.
And now for the funnest part,
Actually going out and living it and being it.
Absolutely fantastic.
So enjoy,
Enjoy,
Enjoy,
Enjoy,
And thanks for being your awesome self.
It truly is important.
