In his book, The Hidden Messages in Water, Masaru Emoto said, "We have seen through the crystal photographs that water is the mirror of our souls." The messages we give to our water affect Mother Earth and this affects us in turn. We are bonded by this flowing life that runs through all things on earth. Today I lead us in a water blessing ceremony and teach the Algonquin First Nation water song. May these blessings flow through us all in gratitude.

Thank you so much for joining me for our water ceremony today.

If water is the source of all life,

It then connects us all.

We ourselves are made of water.

Our earth home is made of water.

And as it flows through her,

It flows through us all and needs to be protected.

Today we will bless the water not only of Mother Earth,

But of ourselves.

The messages that we gift to water shape it and in turn shapes us.

In his book,

The Hidden Messages in Water,

Masaru Emoto said this,

We have seen through the crystal photographs that water is the mirror of our souls.

If this be the case,

Then if we are loving,

Then the water crystallizes into uniform shapes.

If we are angry,

It disrupts the pattern of the crystals of water.

It is important the messages we give ourselves,

Our water,

The earth,

So that she can shape herself into a beautiful uniform image.

Today we will shape the water around us with this blessing of love.

Water is the sacred flow from which life is born and returns to.

When we honor water,

We honor all of life.

As we recognize that water moves in and around every space that we live in and with,

It becomes important for us to care for it,

For our plants,

Trees,

Flowers,

Humans,

Animals,

Insects.

The smallest life,

The tiniest bloom,

The bees that feed,

The trees that drink,

That create the fruit that we eat.

It's the sacred cycle of the circle of the water,

And we are all interdependent upon one another.

Today,

The water ceremony that I share with us to honor the waters of Mother Earth and ourselves,

This blessing song is shared with us from the First Nation peoples of the Algonquin.

The Algonquin Nation has given permission to publicly share this water song so that each of us when we sing it,

We bring these blessings.

And the more of us that share this song with each other and the earth,

The more we can protect those sacred waters of life.

The Algonquin water song was written by Irene Wawattie Jerome and Kathleen Deschenes.

This was written for the All Nations Gathering in 2002 in Canada for Grandfather William Kamanda's circle.

The words of the Algonquin water song is this,

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

The translation of the water song is,

To water the blood of life that runs through our Mother Earth,

Thank you,

As your water moves through us,

May we always remember the gift of life you bring to us.

As we begin to move into the ceremony of our water blessing song,

I ask that you now come into a comfortable position,

Seated or standing,

Where you begin to connect with the energy and rhythm of Mother Earth.

Where you begin to connect to the flowing water that runs through yourself and through her.

May our words uplift all the waters of Mother Earth with love,

May she know that our hearts are pure and that we bring this love to her in gratitude for all that she gives to us.

Taking a deep breath in and exhaling,

We call in the direction of the east,

Of sunrise,

Of new beginnings,

Sending this song to Mother Earth for her water.

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Ho.

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

And now we call in the direction of the south,

We call in the energy of fire,

That of action and passion,

Honoring the energy of summer,

Sending this energy of passion and fire through our waters that they may be protected.

Taking a deep breath in and exhaling,

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Ho.

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Ho.

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Ho.

Now we call in the direction of the west,

That which brings us into the autumn,

Into a time of letting go of those things we no longer need,

That we find wisdom on the journey.

In the west we bless the water,

Taking a deep breath in and exhaling,

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Ho.

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Ho.

Now we call in the direction of the north,

That which is sacred in this circle of life,

The winter,

The wisdom,

That we may come to understand that we are all interdependent upon one another.

May these winter blessings move into our water.

Taking a deep breath in and exhaling,

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Ho.

Nii bhi waa bo en dai en,

Aki misqui nii bhi waa bo.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey.

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Hey ya,

Ho.

Now we call in the direction of Father Sky,

That energy which brings the clouds,

The rain,

That bless this Mother Earth land.

Taking a deep breath in and exhaling.

Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya ho Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya ho Now we call in the direction of Mother Earth,

This sacred land on which we stand.

These words from the song that we send to her,

As we gather in all of these blessings from the directions of the East,

South,

West,

North,

Into Father Sky,

May all of these blessings of love now bless Mother Earth.

Taking a deep breath in and exhaling.

Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya ho Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey hey-ya hey-ya ho Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey hey-ya hey-ya ho Now we call in Great Spirit,

The divine mystery of all things.

May the energy that surrounds all of life,

Here and beyond,

The seen and the unseen,

May this love,

This water,

This life,

Be bound through us all.

And may this sacred song bless us from the divine.

Taking a deep breath in and exhaling.

Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey hey-ya hey-ya ho Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya ho Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya hey hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya ho Taking a deep breath in and allowing yourself now to move into a space of gratitude,

Bringing your hands into Anjali Mudra,

Prayer position,

Hands together,

Gently touching your chest,

Gathering up all these blessings,

And now allow yourself to receive these blessings as well,

That you might let them move through you,

Down into the earth and into the water.

Allow yourself to receive this now.

Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo Nibi wa bo wendayen aki misqui nibi wa bo Thank you so much for joining me for this water ceremony.

Thank you for helping to bring these blessings of love and protection to our most sacred resource,

Water.

May you have a beautiful day and may each of your days be filled with the love and blessings of water that move through your life as well.

Namaste.

This was a new type of meditation for me. It was relaxing to just listen and not follow instructions. Thank you.
