
Navigating Our Emotional Compass - A Reiki Healing Journey
Learning to navigate the ocean of our emotions is a valuable spiritual practice. It is important to learn to heal from and find forgiveness for ourselves and others after experiencing emotions and feelings related to sorrow, anger, and loneliness. As we heal from these places, we can move back into a place of joy in our lives. May you find healing through this Reiki-guided meditation following the compass of your soul.

Hi,
Thank you so much for joining me today in our guided reiki practice.
We'll be taking a journey into our emotional body.
As we learn to heal our emotions,
These become gifts not only to ourselves from this place of healing,
But also to those around us.
It allows us to be present and listening to ourselves through whatever emotions might come up during our journey.
This then darmically allows us to be present for others who may go through similar experiences.
I'd like to use the movie En Canto,
A Disney movie,
To help us better understand the journey we'll be taking today.
In this movie,
The characters each have a gift from their family of origin,
Their ancestors,
In which they become present for themselves and for others around them in the community.
One of the characters,
Pepa,
Has the ability to control weather with her emotions.
So as she moves through different emotions of sadness or joy or anger,
You see that the weather around her family and the community changes.
If she's feeling joyful,
The sun is out and everybody is smiling.
When she is crying,
There is rain,
Tears,
And clouds.
When she feels anger,
There might be great torrential wind that goes through not only the household but also the community around her.
And our emotions are just like this for ourselves.
As we are affected by what's inside of us,
Those emotions come out and can also affect the people around us.
This however does not mean not to have those emotions and not to express them.
However,
What it's asking us to do is learn to work with our emotions so they don't create such big storms around ourselves.
It allows us to learn about what we feel and then move from that place into creating calmer weather around us.
In this guided practice where we will be experiencing a visualization as well as Reiki,
I invite you to better understand the different storms of emotion that might be brewing within yourself.
As we explore these,
It comes from a place of groundedness as well as a focused intention on understanding ourselves better.
There are two things I'll have you do for me before we begin the practice.
First,
We will be working with the energy of Reiki.
In order to receive the full benefit of the Reiki coming through the session,
I just need your permission.
So in this moment,
If you want to say yes out loud,
It allows the energy of Reiki with your permission to better come through during this session.
If you are open to receiving that,
Please say yes now.
The second thing I'd like to bring up before we move into the meditation,
Because we are working with the emotions and the emotional body,
Part of this practice will be bringing up some past memories.
Whenever we work with past memories,
There is always the possibility of being triggered.
As we move into the meditation,
If at any point you feel triggered and unable to complete the session,
Just know that's okay.
Always take care of yourself first.
As we move into this guided Reiki meditation in which to explore our emotions,
I'll begin our time together with a quote by poet and spiritual teacher John O'Donohue from his book Onamkara.
The circle is one of the oldest and most powerful symbols.
The world is a circle.
The sun and moon are too.
Even time itself has a circular nature.
The day and the year build to a circle.
And at its most intimate level,
So is the life of each individual.
The circle never gives itself completely to the eye or to the mind,
But offers a trusting hospitality to that which is complex and mysterious.
It embraces depth and height together.
From this connection of life and its circle,
We move into our guided practice together.
Taking a deep breath in,
Inhaling up through your feet,
Bringing that breath all the way to the top of your head,
And exhaling slowly,
Moving the breath back down through your entire body,
Feeling yourself connecting with the energy and support of Mother Earth beneath you,
Gently holding you in this space of connection.
Taking a deep breath in and bringing that energy from her up through your body all the way to the top of your head and connecting with the energy of your higher self,
And exhaling,
Bringing that energy of connection with your higher self all the way back through you,
Out your feet,
And into the Earth once more.
From this place of connection,
We ask our angels,
Fairies,
Ancestors,
Guides,
Master teachers,
And the divine energy that runs through all things to be present for us now as we move into this meditation together.
Close your eyes gently,
I'll have you imagine standing now in front of the point that represents your third eye,
This place that sees into yourself.
And as you stand at this doorway in front of your third eye,
You reach out and touch this point.
As you connect with this third eye point,
You see a beautiful indigo ball of light,
A doorway that opens in front of you.
And as this doorway of light begins to open and welcome you,
You connect with it and you begin to hear a song play,
A song welcoming you into yourself.
What song do you hear?
Listen for it now.
With this third eye doorway of light and this music from your soul calling you forward,
You step through the doorway and into the room that represents your third eye,
This inner knowing.
As you step into the room,
You see that it is in the shape of a circle.
And in the center of the room,
You see that there is a beautiful fire burning.
The fire creating a glow of light within the room,
Creating warmth and beauty surrounding this room that represents you.
You begin to step closer towards the center of the room,
Being drawn forward by the beautiful fire.
And as you approach,
You see that seated around the circle,
There are four guides present.
They can take the form of a master teacher,
An angel,
An animal spirit guide.
Allow yourself to see these four guides sitting around the fire now.
As you look at how they sit around the circle of the fire,
You see that each guide sits at a point representing the directions of a compass.
The east,
The south,
The west,
The north.
You step up to the circle.
You see the brightness of the fire glowing in the room has created an image of a compass on the floor around the fire,
Each point of the compass pointing to your guides.
In the direction of the east,
You see the guide who will walk with you through the emotions of sorrow and grief.
In the direction of the south,
You greet the guide who will be walking with you through the emotion of anger.
In the direction of the west,
You see your guide who will walk with you on the journey through the emotion of loneliness.
And in the direction of the north,
You connect with a guide who will show you places of joy.
You see that each guide in each direction bows their head welcoming you to this space.
The first guide to stand is the guide of the east.
He or she stands and calls you to join him or her to move in this direction.
You walk over standing next to this guide who represents that which you will connect with in your emotions of sorrow or grief in order to bring healing and understanding to these places within yourself.
As you now stand in front of this guide,
Take time to connect with him or her.
What do they look like?
What colors or energy is around them?
Allow yourself to see,
Feel and hear this connection with this guide of the east.
Bring a deep breath in.
As you exhale,
Your guide from the east takes your hand and you both walk together in the direction of the east until you come to the wall at the edge of the room.
As you approach,
You see that there is a large screen that appears on the wall in front of you.
Your guide takes your hand and asks you this question,
Which memory of sorrow or grief wishes to be healed in this moment?
And as you allow your body,
Your mind,
Your soul to connect with this question,
You look at the screen and see that a memory begins to play like a movie on the screen in front of you.
Allow yourself to watch this memory which comes up representing sorrow or grief.
Who is present in this memory?
What has come forward to be healed today?
Your guide holds your hand allowing any emotions that might come forward to flow through you.
Taking a deep breath in and exhaling,
The scene begins to close and the movie screen is blank once more.
Your guide of the east who stands with you now as you turn to face them,
He or she takes your hands and begins to move the energy of Reiki through you and through this memory through your body and mind,
Through your soul to help you find peace.
Allow yourself now in this moment of silence to receive this energy from your guide.

You you you you now take a deep breath in and as you exhale your angel from the east this guide shares with you the gift of dharma that as you understand this part of your healing you may one day be present for someone else who may need the same support your guide from the east now walks you back to the circle he or she sits back down joining that circle of fire and the next guide who stands up is the guide from the south who will help you find peace and understanding and healing from the emotion of anger you walk over to him or her next standing in front of them allow yourself to take time to see who this guide is what they look like allowing yourself time to connect with any information that comes forward to you about this guide your guide from the south takes the lead and you follow behind moving in the direction of the south until you stand at the edge of the room as you stand next to your guide he or she gently touches your belly this place in which anger is stored in our physical body connecting with this place inside your belly your guide asks you this question what memory or feeling connected with the emotion of anger wishes to receive healing in this moment holding this question within your body you see that in front of you a beautiful large blank canvas appears on the wall as your guide continues to hold this space around your belly around this place of anger the memory begins to move out of you and begins to paint itself on the canvas in front of you what colors and images are painted on the canvas in front of you that represent this part of your life which wants healing from the emotion of anger allow yourself to see what is painted on the canvas now you taking a deep breath in and as you exhale all the emotion around this feeling of anger has moved out of your body and flowed on to this painting which gives you a full picture of that which wants to receive healing today your guide from the south now asks you to face them he or she takes both of your hands and as your guide from the south takes your hands you see that his or her heart begins to open up and move that energy of divine compassion and love through themselves into you now to receive the healing energy of Reiki to allow yourself to find a place of peace to allow this anger to find rest allow yourself now to receive this loving energy you as your body receives this energy of compassion and love you feel the fire from the anger begin to calm and turn into a beautiful feeling of warmth you take a deep breath in and exhale you see that the painting on the wall has disappeared and your guide from the south now walks back with you to the center of the room he or she joining the circle once more sitting down your guide from the west begins to stand this guide who will walk you through the emotion of loneliness and as they stand you walk towards them joining them in this space your guide from the west greets you giving you a hug grateful that you are here on this journey as you step back you allow yourself to take in who this guide is allow yourself to see feel here and connect with this guide now your guide places his or her arm around you and walk to you in the direction of the West hanging on the wall is a photograph you see that it is an image that reminds you of a time in which you felt lonely or alone in your life as you take in the image on the photo your guide from the west hold your hand showing you that he or she is present with you in this moment allow yourself to connect with this time in your life that the photograph shows you any feelings of loneliness that might present themselves to you now are gently held by your guide and now your guide asks you to face them to look into their eyes your guide of the West reaches out and places his or her hand on your heart allow yourself to receive the energy now that moves through them to you allowing yourself to feel this connection to help find healing for any of the energy that might come up from this memory your guide from the West begins to send you Reiki now you you Taking a deep breath in and as you exhale You carry with you this presence of connection You and your guide from the west begin to walk back to the circle You see that the fire in the center has grown more quiet with low glowing embers that fill the room with warmth love and kindness Your guide from the north stands This guide will walk you through connecting with joy He or she welcomes you And the warmth of his or her smile glowing like the fire in the room as You stand in front of your guide of the North Who is this guy that represents joy for you?
Connect with them now Your guide from the north now begins to walk in that direction as you follow behind You come to the wall at the room and Your guide to the north reaches out and touches the wall And as he or she does a beautiful door appears As you stand in front of this door Take time now To notice what it looks like what it's made out of What colors What shapes Take time now to connect with it Your guide now asks you this question What represents the feeling of joy for you Taking this question into your mind your heart your body your soul You take a deep breath in And as you exhale You reach out and open the door Through the open door you and your guide of the North step into the space This space that represents joy for you You look around the room to see that joyful space inside of you What beauty exists in here What does your soul share with you now about what is joy for you?
Allow your soul and your guide from the north To help you see that which is joyful for you and connect with this space now And As you connect with this space your guide begins to send the Reiki of light warmth joy Through you and through this space Allowing you to find peace comfort and joy Allow yourself to receive this now You You Take a deep breath in and As you exhale your guide takes your hand And the two of you move back out of the room back towards the center of the circle All four guides now stand in each direction And they ask you as well to join this circle Imagine reaching out your hands and the hands of all your guides Joining together and allowing all of these energies To move in and around and through you Bringing healing to the energy of sorrow Into a place of peace Bringing the energy of healing from anger Into that which ignites passion Bringing healing from loneliness to move into a place of presence To heal through and through with the presence of joy Holding all of this within yourself Allow the energy from all four guides to move through you and around you Receive this Reiki now You You Taking a deep breath in You exhale and see that the fire in the center of the circle has completely died down And just the embers of light glow From this space of healing and gratitude You think each of your guides who have been present for you on this journey Thinking the guide from the east Thinking your guide from the direction of the south Thinking your guide from the west Thinking your guide from the north And in return they thank you as well For having the courage to spend time with these emotions From this place of thanks you close your eyes Reaching up and touching that space between your eyes the third eye And as you do you see yourself closing that doorway within your mind Taking a deep breath in And as you exhale You realize that you are back in the space now in this present moment And from this present moment opening your eyes and coming back into connection with me here You feel yourself connected to your body To the room in which you are in Gently wiggling your fingers hands toes and feet Feeling yourself back centered and whole in this time now I'll close our journey together With a poem by Wendell Berry The peace of wild things When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound In fear of what my life or my children's lives may be I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water and the great heron feeds I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief I come into the presence of still water And I feel above me the day blind stars waiting with their light For a time I rest in the grace of the world and I'm free Thank you for joining me.
I'm grateful for spending this time with you and all of our guides who are present in the gift of their energy.
Know that the energy you received today will continue to move with you for as long as you need it even after this practice closes.

this was amazingly powerful but in a very gentle, compassionate and tender way. Thank you so much 🙏. My emotions were feeling uncontrollably strong and I think I was guided to your Reiki meditation. I have been housebound with ME/CFS for many years And find it difficult to know how to cope with emotions in such a situation. This was very healing and I shall be returning to it many times.
