Hi,
Thank you so much for joining me today for our mantra practice.
Today we will be singing the Green Tara Mantra.
The mantra is Om Tare,
Tu Tare,
Tu Re,
So Ha.
And what does this mean and what does it embody for us?
Tara in Buddhism is the goddess of universal compassion.
When chanted,
This mantra asks that we surround ourselves and gain protection for ourselves from the mother of mothers in Buddhism.
She offers comfort,
Protection,
And love to move us from a place of suffering into a place of peace.
Invoking this mantra asks that we are surrounded by her compassionate grace.
I'll break down the mantra for us so that you have a better understanding of what you're invoking.
Om is the universal sound of creation.
Tare invokes the mother,
The green mother goddess Tara.
Tu Tare invokes asking for liberation from the eight fears,
Ignorance,
Attachment,
Anger,
Pride,
Jealousy,
Miserliness,
Doubt,
And wrong views.
Tu Re invokes liberation from disease.
And So Ha is the intention of the mantra to take root within our heart as we chant the mantra together.
I invite us now to move into the mantra and may this mantra take root in your heart as well.
Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re So Ha Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re So Ha Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re So Ha Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re So Ha Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re Om Tare Tu Tare Tu Re So Ha Om Tare Ture Ture Soha Om Tare Ture Ture Om Tare Ture Ture Soha Om Tare Ture Ture Soha Om Tare Ture Ture Soha Untare tutare ture,

I ask that you be surrounded by the healing energy of green Tara.
I ask that you be protected throughout your day.
I ask that you find peace from all suffering.
I ask that you be blessed and well.
Thank you so much for joining me in this practice today,
For singing with me,
And for chanting.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
