We are entering the gap meditation.

And our first step is the gap between each in-breath and out-breath.

And each out-breath and in-breath.

The breathing process symbolizes the process of creation.

The gap symbolizes the emptiness that encompasses the whole of creation.

It is at the beginning not so easy to be conscious of the gap.

Our attention always goes to the process.

Just like in daily life.

But let us first be conscious of the breathing process.

In-breath and out-breath and that which is between.

Don't try to stop the process.

Just become gently aware of the fact that before in-breath starts there is a gap.

And before out-breath starts there is a gap.

If you find it difficult to follow this in an abstract way,

Find it first in the nostrils or in the rising and falling of this belly.

There is a brief stop.

Become conscious only of it.

There is a brief stop.

And before out-breath starts there is a brief stop.

And before out-breath starts there is a brief stop.

And before out-breath starts there is a brief stop.

And before out-breath starts there is a brief stop.

And before out-breath starts there is a brief stop.

The more you focus only on the gap,

The more the gap will widen and sometimes become even bigger than the breathing process.

Let it naturally changing this way.

And slowly enter the world of the gap.

Really use it as a gateway.

Let your consciousness enter,

Move through the gap into the world behind it.

And let your consciousness enter,

Move through the gap into the world behind it.

And let your consciousness enter,

Move through the gap into the world behind it.

And let your consciousness enter,

Move through the gap into the world behind it.

What is hiding within the gap between the in-breath and the out-breath?

And the out-breath and the in-breath.

And the out-breath and the in-breath.

And now we will drop the process of the breathing and move to a more subtle process,

That of thinking.

In the very same way,

Turn your attention to the gap between every two thoughts.

Don't try to stop thoughts just like you didn't try to interfere in the natural process of breathing.

Just notice that we tend to focus only on the thinking process while there is a gap interrupting it constantly.

So look for this gap and become aware only of it.

When a thought arises,

Let it arise until it falls naturally.

And then notice that before another thought arises,

There is a gap.

And then notice that before another thought arises,

There is a gap.

And then notice that before another thought arises,

There is a gap.

And then notice that before another thought arises,

There is a gap.

As you probably notice,

The more conscious you become of the gaps within your mind,

The greater the gap becomes.

Slowly begin to enter.

Slowly begin to enter and to move through this gap into the world of the gap.

Slowly begin to enter and to move through this gap into the world of the gap.

What is hiding within the gap between all thoughts?

And now leave behind the gap between thoughts and we will move to the subtlest gap.

The gaps between our self-consciousness and another appearance of self-consciousness.

We tend to think that our self-consciousness is continuous,

Uninterrupted.

This is not true.

In dreamless sleep,

There is no self-consciousness.

And also in the waking state,

Self-consciousness seems uninterrupted simply because we give it constant attention.

Now this is the subtlest.

First of all,

Become conscious of your sense of I AM,

I EXIST which is constantly reflected to you through thoughts,

Emotions,

Sensations,

Reactions to the impressions of the senses and so on.

And start looking for the brief moments in which I am not.

Start realizing the I AM appears and disappears,

Appears and disappears.

It flashes,

It flickers.

When self-consciousness arises,

Don't stop it,

Just like with the breathing and thinking.

Just at the end of this flash,

Become conscious of the gap in which you are not.

Just like the breathing,

Just like the thinking,

You appear and disappear.

So many holes in the story.

Enter this gap between every two I AM.

Move through it into the world of the gap.

What is hiding within the gap between every two?

I AM.

I AM.

I AM.

So as you slowly and gently come out of the meditation,

Make sure you don't lose the sense of gap.

So slowly and gently open your eyes.

I AM.
