This session had me in tears listening back!! We go deep into topics of change, grief, and the heartbreak of stepping forward from who you thought you would be, but aren't. Give yourself space for what comes up, have tissues nearby, and let yourself move through the incredible and profound realizations that live in between asking yourself if you're ready.. and actually stepping into the freedom and the life of who you could be. Heads up - there’s a little bit of swearing in this one!

One of the biggest questions that we often get asked is,

Are you ready?

Are you ready to change your life?

Are you ready to step into something new?

Are you ready to go somewhere you've never been before?

Are you ready to change?

Not just who you were,

But where you thought you were going,

The life that you thought you would have,

The places you thought you would go.

And so when we're in this place of,

Am I ready?

Do I want this thing?

It can bring up all of the fears and the worries and the anxieties,

But it can also bring up the grief.

And that's what we're gonna start to move right now and start to really let your system integrate and move through and extract the goodness from it.

Because grief doesn't just mean that we've lost something.

It also means that something has changed.

Something was loved,

Something was wonderful,

Something was good,

And now it's not here anymore.

And that comes with a lot of mixed emotions.

And we can perseverate and hone in on the negative,

The painful,

The grieving,

Sobbing,

Aching,

Longing.

But we can also allow space for the awareness of the experience that you went through.

So think about something that you've been grieving.

Now,

This isn't just a loss,

But something that you wanted that you didn't get,

That you haven't gotten.

And think about what that feels like,

To not have received what you wanted.

I mean,

First,

Of course,

To think about what you actually want and how that would change your life and how things could open and expand the potential that you've brought to it.

Who do you think you can be?

Who did you think you would be if this thing had happened or not happened?

And give a breath to that full emotional experience.

And now give a breath to who you think,

Or who you thought you would become,

The future you thought you'd have,

What you thought life would be like.

And there can be a lot of pain in here,

Especially in the parts of the brain that have to do with survival and threats and assessing danger.

We're gonna let those parts know that it's okay.

They can down switch.

They can shift out of that primal response of fight or flight and fear and worry and anxiety and what the fuck,

And how do I do this and all the things.

And they can switch into that sense of,

It's okay,

That thing happened,

Or that thing didn't happen,

And I'm still here.

I'm still alive.

And we're gonna let this part of your brain see that that grief didn't kill you.

It sure as shit might have felt like it would,

But it didn't.

And you may have some emotions coming up here,

Even ones that you might not be able to explain fully what they are,

How they are.

That's okay.

Let yourself feel what wants to arise.

And we're gonna continue working with this,

But a little bit differently.

So this grief that we're starting to allow space for and see all the different sides of,

There's also an element in here of fear.

And you may have some ideas popping up of like,

What you're afraid of and all the rest,

But this really ties into fears about who you have to be now,

Right?

Like because this thing happened,

Whatever it was,

There's an algorithm,

There's a setting,

There's a timeline,

There's a switch that happened that says,

Well,

Because that shit happened,

This is who I have to be now.

And I want you to let that fear rise up from wherever it lives inside of you.

You may feel your toes,

Your knees,

Your elbows,

Your back,

Your chest,

Wherever it wants to come from,

Let that fear rise up that's showing you who you fear that you have to be now.

If you lost that person,

If you got that diagnosis,

If you didn't make the shot,

If you were turned down,

Rejected,

They didn't want to be with you,

They left you,

If you left them,

If you realized that you wanted more,

All the fears that come up that say,

Who you have to be,

Who you can't be,

Well,

Because I've been through this,

I can't X,

Y,

Z.

Let those dots be connected now.

Let yourself really see the programming that's been running,

That's controlling who you think you have to be,

Who you think you're supposed to be,

And who you feel like you have no other choice but to become because of the things you have suffered and lost and loved and never received.

And I want you to remember where it changed.

Let the memory rise up.

It might surprise you or you might know exactly what it is.

But where's the moment that you gave up on yourself?

Where's the moment that you said,

I can't be who I wanna be.

I have to be different.

I have to be who others want me to be.

I have no choice.

I have no say.

This has happened to me.

Maybe even this happened to punish me,

But this is out of my control.

Therefore,

This is who I have to become now.

And I want you to let that memory rise up of where you confirmed,

Agreed,

Decided,

And committed to,

Possibly,

And most likely,

Without even realizing that you were doing so,

To who you thought you had to be because of what happened to you.

And I want you to put your hands together and put your hands over your lower abdomen,

Your sacral.

You can do this in your mind's eye as well.

And just hold this space.

We're bringing in some new energies to your sacral chakra,

Into your lower abdomen.

To let this part of you know that it's okay to change.

It's okay to want things.

It's okay to be different.

It's okay to count one plus one and get three.

It's okay if A plus B equals Q.

We're gonna let your body know,

Especially your sacral,

The chakra,

The whole area,

The bones,

And the joints,

And the ligaments,

And the organs,

And the endocrine,

Everything that's in this area.

We're gonna let it know it's okay to want something.

It's okay to want something different.

It's okay to not want what's happened to you to define you.

It's okay to be free.

And that's what I want you to repeat to yourself while you're holding this area,

Whether with your hands or in your mind's eye.

It's okay to be free.

It's okay to be free.

It's okay to be free.

I want you to stay here for a little bit and let the emotions come up.

Don't push them away.

Don't wipe away the tears.

Let them fall.

Let what you're feeling be fully present.

No explanations,

No disclaimers,

No coughing it off and justifying it.

No.

I want you to be present with what happens inside of you when you hold this area,

And you hold yourself,

And you say,

It's okay to be free.

Be in the truth,

Be in the silence.

Let this move through.

Let this change timelines.

Let this alter your course.

And promise yourself that you will never go back to who you were because you know now it's okay to be free.

Take one more big,

Deep breath.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Stay with yourself and come back to the room.
