Pause.
Take this moment to pause and step away from your doings,
Allowing yourself a moment of peace.
Simply watch and let go.
Let us breathe together.
We'll try a simple balancing breath of equal measures.
Inhale for a count of three and exhale for three.
Counting as slow and relaxed as is comfortable and doesn't leave you feeling gasping for the next breath.
Slow and steady.
When you feel ready,
Let's start.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Go at your own pace.
Counting for three.
With each inhale and each exhale.
When you feel ready,
Notice if you can come to a pause between the cycles of inhale and exhale.
No pressure.
Slow and steady.
Maybe starting with a pause of one and building up over the next few minutes to three.
So you have a pattern of inhale three,
Pause three,
Exhale three,
Pause three.
Known as samivritti breath or box breath.
And if this isn't right for you at this time,
That's okay.
Just simply observe the breath without controlling it.
Just be present to its existence.
Notice expansions and contractions everywhere you sense them.
Notice how does it feel to watch without attaching.
Watch with curiosity and wonder.
Watch with gratitude for this breath and this breath and so on.
Let go of control of the breath.
Come back to the stillness,
The observations.
Notice how you feel.
Bring your hands to your heart.
Give gratitude for this pause in time.
This gift of time to yourself.
This coming back to breath.
Resetting back to balance.
You can come back to this practice anytime you need a reset.
Thank you for being here.
