Love My Body.
This is designed for anyone who may be struggling with body image,
Self-worth or physical acceptance.
It is offered as a guide to support you.
Begin by finding a comfortable space where you feel safe and undisturbed.
Sit or lie,
But maybe wrap yourself in warmth or place your hands on your heart or your belly and close your eyes.
Just notice how it feels when you rest your hands on your body.
And take a slow steady breath in and a gentle breath out.
Let your awareness begin to settle into this moment and let go of the noise of the day.
There is nowhere else you need to be but here,
Right here,
With your breath,
Your body and your beautiful self.
Notice the rhythm of your breath.
Feel the ground support you and feel the invitation of your body to come home.
Whisper to yourself,
I am here.
I am listening.
I am learning to love this body just as it is.
Allow your breath to soften and become slower or more spacious.
Can you sense your body not through thoughts or judgments but through presence?
Bring your attention to the soles of your feet,
Your toes,
Your ankles,
The curve of your legs and your hips,
And the belly rising and falling with each breath.
Be aware of your chest,
Your heart,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your neck,
And take a moment just to go back and scan your body from your feet to your head.
I'll be quiet for a moment just for you to land very softly and notice where you carry tension or emotion.
Let your breath go there like a kind friend.
There's no need to change anything here,
Simply be with what is.
Noticing with kindness.
Not staying anywhere too long.
A gentle hello.
Take a moment now to whisper some words of kindness to your body.
You can repeat this softly in your mind or say it out loud.
I honor the journey my body has walked.
I release the shame I've carried it's not mine to hold.
I release the tensions I've carried,
They're not mine to hold.
My body is worthy of love exactly as it is.
And I thank my body for holding me,
For trying,
For breathing.
And if that feels hard today,
Let it be enough to say,
I am open to loving my body one breath at a time.
Let the silence cradle you and let each breath be an offering of care.
If emotions arise,
Let them come.
They're simply messengers of healing.
You are not broken,
You are just recalibrating,
You are whole.
Notice the hands that touch your belly or your heart,
Or if your hands have been down your side,
Just touch a part of your body you're comfortable with now and feel the warmth of your own touch.
Feel the life within you.
And whisper again,
I am learning to love my body.
I am enough.
I am whole.
My body is worthy of love exactly as it is.
And I thank my body for holding me,
For trying,
For breathing.
Take three slow nourishing breaths.
Breathe in self-compassion,
Self-love.
And exhale self-judgment.
Breathe in kindness and exhale harshness.
And breathe in love and let go of old stories.
Allow your body to just soften here.
Allow out a big sigh.
And then gently open your eyes.
Remind yourself you are a miracle in motion and you are deeply,
Deeply worthy.
Give gratitude for your practice today.
Learning to love your body one breath at a time.
