The ritual of repetition reminds us to stay grounded in ourselves.
It's what gives us our strength to return to everything we know to be true and to let go of everything that is not.
The way that we hold ourselves in our body creates space or takes us away from the possibilities to expand.
The way we remember to breathe allows us to create a ritual that we can return to over and over again that can guide us deeper into connection with ourselves,
With our bodies,
And with the present moment.
For the next few minutes,
I would like for you to take some breaths with me.
This space is easy.
It only requires our presence,
Our participation,
And our dedication to our breath.
As we inhale,
We want to feel the air move into our nostrils.
Allow it and guide it to trickle down through the back of your throat,
Into your chest,
Your heart,
Your abdomen,
Belly,
And pelvic floor.
And as you breathe out,
Pull in,
Create contraction,
Allow the space to minimize.
What this breath does is it reminds us that we can create space and we can release.
What it also does is it reminds us to feel,
To tune in,
Tap in,
And explore.
So as you inhale and you begin to create space,
Where are you feeling heavy or stuck?
Where do you feel tension or tightness?
Where does it hurt?
Where is it hard?
As you move air into those parts of your body,
Give permission to let go.
And as you exhale out,
Release,
Let go,
Let go.
The breath is our greatest tool.
It can hold us in moments that are hard.
It can heal us.
It has wisdom.
It has strength and softness and courage.
Breathe in through your nose,
Out through the back of your throat.
Open your chest,
Expand your heart,
Make space in your abdomen,
Your belly,
And relax your pelvic floor.
Exhale out.
Breathe in,
Create space,
Open,
Expand,
Receive,
Relax,
Let go,
Let go.
Breathe in,
Open,
Expand,
Create space,
Receive,
And let go,
Let go,
Let go.
Continue these breaths in your own way,
At your own pace.
If you are able to,
Take a moment to tune deeper into your body,
To listen,
To follow,
To follow,
To guide.
Receive,
Let go,
Receive,
Let go.
Let your breath move you,
Move with your breath.
Breathe in,
And release.
Breathe in,
And let go.
Inhale,
And exhale.
Breathe,
And release.
Sometimes all we need is just a few minutes,
Just a few moments,
To remember what it is to be present.
Our breath can bring us here,
So as you choose to navigate into the next part of your day,
I want to invite you to remember that this is a tool you can return to at any moment,
At any point in time.
It's accessible to you,
No matter where you are,
Because as long as we are breathing,
We are alive.
And as long as we are living,
We can breathe.
Thank you for taking a few moments to breathe with me.
