Hello,
My fellow hearkeners,
And welcome to today's meditation.
To begin,
I invite you to close your eyes,
And notice that with that simple act of simply
closing your eyes,
Your mind naturally gets quieter.
And I invite you to relax your body,
Find a position you can be comfortable in.
This is simply to say,
Be still.
I invite you to adopt an attitude of gratitude and non-judgment,
Especially toward yourself
in this time of meditation.
And I invite you to enter this space with a heart and mindset of peace and loving-kindness.
Imagine you're walking through a forest,
You can feel the soft mossy soil beneath your
bare feet.
Really try to imagine the sights,
The sounds,
The smells as you leisurely walk through this
forest.
You notice up ahead,
There's a clearing,
And so you begin to walk slowly toward that clearing.
And as you approach,
You realize that on the other side of this clearing is a green pasture,
A lush green pasture.
As you exit the forest and enter this peaceful pasture,
You notice on the other side of the
pasture is a calm,
Peacefully flowing creek.
Notice on the sensations in this new space,
This peaceful green field.
What do you see,
What can you hear,
What can you smell?
Notice the feeling of each step as your feet make contact with the lush green grass and
the spongy soil beneath it.
With each step,
You're connecting to the earth,
You're connecting to this place,
You're connecting
to creation.
As you continue to walk towards the calm creek,
You hear a voice behind you.
I am your shepherd,
Says the voice.
You hear soft,
Inviting,
Friendly footsteps coming up behind you,
And you turn to see
it's Yeshua.
You can see the love for you he has in his eyes.
What does he look like to you?
He begins to walk beside you,
And together you both continue to head toward the peaceful
waters.
And then,
As he walks beside you,
Yeshua begins to speak again.
I am your shepherd.
You do not have to worry or fear,
Because I am with you.
You do not have to worry or fear,
Because I am with you.
I will always be with you.
Even when you're in your lowest,
Darkest moments,
I am with you.
I am your shepherd.
I am your shepherd.
I will give you rest.
You can find peace with me.
You can find rest with me.
I am your shepherd.
You don't have to worry or fear,
Because I am with you.
I will always be with you.
Even when you're in your lowest,
Darkest moments,
I am with you.
I am your shepherd.
I will give you rest.
You can find peace with me.
Rest with me.
You can find peace with me.
You can find rest with me.
I am your shepherd.
And then,
Once you reach the edge of the peaceful waters,
Yeshua sits down and invites you to
sit down beside him.
After you've been sitting for a moment,
Yeshua lays down and invites you to lie down beside
him.
Take a moment to simply rest with Yeshua,
To simply be with Yeshua.
As you lie still,
Yeshua repeats these words once again.
I am your shepherd.
I am your shepherd.
You don't have to worry or fear,
Because I am with you.
I will always be with you.
Even when you're at your lowest,
Darkest moment,
Especially when you're at your lowest,
Darkest moments,
There,
I am with you.
I am your shepherd.
I will give you rest.
You can find peace with me.
You can find rest with me.
I am your shepherd.
I am your shepherd.
As this meditation slowly comes to a close,
I invite you to bring your attention back to your natural,
Physical surroundings.
And if you've been sitting or lying in the same position for a while,
It can give your
body a light,
Gentle stretch.
Your body knows what your body needs.
So in this space,
I invite you to simply give your body what your body needs.
And then I invite you to slowly,
Gently,
Each breath,
Slowly,
Gently,
Easily,
Taking as much time as you need to slowly flutter your eyes open.
And come back to your physical surroundings.
Thank you for sharing in this tender,
Sacred moment with me today,
My dear friends.
May grace and peace,
Light and love be with you.
