Happy Easter my fellow hearkeners.
In today's meditation,
The 47th in our Lent series,
We pick up where we left off in yesterday's meditation.
Remember,
The disciples were not expecting Yeshua to rise from the dead.
Let us enter today's meditation with a spirit of stillness,
An attitude of non-judgment,
And a heart and mindset of peace and loving-kindness.
I invite you to take a few long,
Slow,
Deep breaths as you focus on the sound of my voice and the words I'm speaking.
Luke 24 tells a story of the three women,
The two Marys and Joanna,
Who went to the tomb of Yeshua.
They were carrying burial spices.
These spices were for the purpose of anointing a dead body,
Specifically to reduce the smell associated with a decomposing body.
They were not expecting to find an empty tomb.
They were not expecting to find hope.
They were expecting to find only death and suffering.
Even when they did find an empty tomb,
They did not expect it to follow with good news.
And sometimes,
Just showing up burial spices in hand is all it takes to witness a miracle.
Sometimes,
Just showing up burial spices in hand is all it takes to witness a miracle.
This is a quote by Rachel Held Evans.
Let's take a moment just to breathe that in.
And sometimes,
Just showing up showing up burial spices in hand is all it takes to witness a miracle.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Allow yourself to release any feelings of despair or hopelessness that may be weighing on you.
Let the promise of resurrection fill you with a sense of peace and comfort,
Knowing that even in the midst of the darkest moments,
Even in the midst of the darkest moments,
There is always the possibility of new life and new hope.
There is always the possibility of new life and new hope.
Sometimes,
Just showing up showing up burial spices in hand is all it takes to witness a miracle.
Thank you for sharing in this sacred moment with me,
My fellow Hearkeners.
May grace and peace,
The hope of new life,
Light,
And love be with you.
