Anyone who seeks to keep their life will lose it,
But whoever loses their life will save it.
Hello my dear hearkeners,
Today's meditation is the 33rd in our Lent series,
And is a meditation which builds on yesterday's meditation on being connected to all of creation.
To begin this meditation,
I invite you to close your eyes.
Let's observe that with the simple act of closing your eyes,
Your mind naturally quiets down,
Your spirit slows,
And even your heart rate can have a tendency to slow.
This is one of the quickest,
Easiest ways to be still.
Now,
Let's enter this meditation with this spirit of stillness.
Anyone who seeks to keep their life will lose it,
And whoever loses their life will save it.
This passage reminds us to be so connected to one another that we are willing to lay down our lives for one another.
And,
This passage reminds us to be attached to nothing,
Even our own lives,
To the point of giving up our own life for one another.
Connected to everything,
Attached to nothing.
We are connected to everything,
And we are attached to nothing.
This passage invites us to recognize and embrace that fact of our created nature,
That we are connected to everything,
And attached to nothing.
Anyone who seeks to keep their life will lose it,
But whoever loses their life will preserve it.
Whoever lets go of their life will save it.
Connected to everything,
Attached to nothing.
Thank you,
My dear hearkeners,
For sharing this space with me.
May grace and peace,
Light and love,
Be with you.
