Transcript

Isaiah 9 verse 2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light,

Those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness.

On them a light has shone.

Sometimes it feels like we're walking in darkness,

Doesn't it?

Sometimes individually,

Sometimes as a community,

Or a nation,

A society,

And even globally.

Advent,

However,

Is a season of light in that darkness.

Let us take a few moments and dwell in the hope the light of Advent brings us.

Advent is a season of light in the darkness.

The light of Advent arrives to bring us hope.

The light of Advent arrives to bring us hope.

The light of Advent arrives in the darkness to bring us hope.

I love these for advent, and enjoy the background music. I wish they were set up as a course to listen to them in chronological order because you canโ€™t tell what day it is without clicking into each one, which is challenging. Or add the day to the title. Thank you!

Sean, this one was absolutely beautiful. ๐Ÿค Thank you for making and sharing this Advent series. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Advent to me is a big celebration and preparation for Jesus Christ arrival to all of us, which gives me so much joy, happiness, hope, and peace. ๐Ÿ˜‡ I noticed the beautiful Hymn 423, "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel", in the Swedish Hymnbook with the title: "Kom Jesus, kom Immanuel". It made me open up my Hymnbook and sing the song out loud. Rejoicing in the beautiful lyrics. ๐Ÿค— P.S. About the cover picture that you are using for this Advent series, it looks that it's in watercolor. Is it your own art, or?! It's very beautiful. ๐Ÿค

Delighted to share this season with you. I really wanted something short to go with my practice of sitting quietly with my advent wreath. This is perfect.
