Hello,
My name is Scarlet and welcome to the practice of yoga nidra.
This practice is a practice of self-love,
A remembrance of wholeness and the essence of who you truly are.
Take your time to gather any props of support.
This journey may be done in a supine position or seated position.
Allow yourself to be fully supported.
This practice is a gift of forgiveness.
Whether you need to forgive yourself,
A loved one,
Or someone who was ephemeral,
Resentment can harbor space in our body and create holding patterns of resistance if not addressed.
There is no need to force.
By opening yourself up to the practice,
You are already doing the work.
This practice may be difficult if your heart is vulnerable.
Return as you need.
Each time you return,
You amplify its effects.
A cord connection is a deep soul connection that may transcend time and space.
We may love deeply and yet are left with our heart in our hands.
Some people are not meant to be in our lives for an eternity,
But for a lesson and a gift.
Sometimes the closure we need,
The answer to the mystery is trusting that there is a lesson in every wisdom and every wound.
The greatest gift we can give ourselves is gratitude,
Love,
And acceptance so we can move on.
In the cycle of birth,
Life,
And transition,
We are all equal.
There is no hierarchy,
No winners,
And no losers.
We are soul selves in a collective journey.
There is infinite good waiting for you.
Abundance is open and available to us all.
We are all worthy to tap into the source.
All you have to do is open and receive.
Once you get yourself settled,
Close your eyes and tune inwards to your breath.
Wrap your awareness in your heart-filled presence.
Feel the ground cradling your body,
Fully held and supported.
Feel the air and space cradling your body,
Fully held and supported.
Feel your whole self here.
Welcome yourself fully.
You are so loved.
Feel this now as you wrap your awareness in your heart-filled presence.
You are so loved.
Feel this now.
Feel the palms of your hands from the inside out and the soles of your feet from the inside out.
Feel your right ear and your left ear and feel both of your ears together.
Locate the space between at your brow center.
Feel your right ribs and your left ribs and feel both of your ribs together.
Locate the space between at your heart center.
Continue to feel both of your hands and both of your feet and feel your brow center,
Heart center,
And wrap in your navel center.
You feel your hands,
Feet,
Brow center,
Heart center,
And navel center.
Notice how your brow,
Heart,
And navel center are all connected like a tethered cord grounding you,
Holding you,
And stabilizing you at your core.
You are safe within this framework of your body.
Connect your awareness back in your heart and breathe here.
Become aware of the depth of your breath,
The way your inhale glides in,
And your exhale dances out,
Breathing with every pore of your being.
Notice how each time you breathe in,
You are receiving everything you need from the whole.
Each time you exhale,
You release what no longer serves you to be integrated,
Processed,
And dissolved back into the environment.
This universal flow.
Breathe and release.
Surrender your breath to the innate intelligence of your body and allow your body to breathe itself.
Welcome all parts of yourself here and fall back in love with yourself and with this moment.
Notice from this place that we begin the practice of yoga,
Nidra.
Set a sankalpa for your practice.
If you're already working with one,
Please call upon it now.
Otherwise you may guide your practice with,
I trust and I let go.
I trust and I let go.
Use clear positive intent and repeat your sankalpa three times with purpose.
Feel it from your heart.
Now tune into the sound of my voice as I guide you through a heart focused body scan.
Bring your awareness to each area and feel infusing each area with love and light.
Begin by resting your presence within your heart and feel the warmth of love.
This love and light moves from your heart up to your brow center to your right temple,
Right cheek,
Right shoulder,
Right side of your chest,
Right upper thigh and right ankle.
Feel the whole right side of your body in love and light,
Whole right side.
Now bring your awareness to your left ankle,
To your left upper thigh,
Left side of your chest,
Left shoulder,
Left cheek,
Left temple,
Into your midbrain space between your ears.
Feel the whole left side of your body wrapped in your awareness,
Whole left side.
Now feel both the left and right sides.
So you feel your heart,
Brow center,
Right temple,
Cheek,
Shoulder,
Chest,
Upper thigh and right ankle,
To your left ankle,
Upper thigh,
Chest,
Shoulder,
Cheek,
Left temple,
To the midbrain space between your ears.
Right and left wrapped and filled with your heart-filled presence.
Feel your whole body.
Notice how your heart-filled presence creates this supported framework for your experience.
So you may fully feel and release whole body.
With this awareness within your whole self,
Feel the universal flow and dance of your moves in and out.
Allow the edges of your body to dissolve.
So all that remains is you,
Your breath and the space around you connecting you to the whole.
You turn your awareness back to your heart and rest your awareness here.
Know that in this experience,
You are fully held and safe.
Allow yourself to feel the spectrum of emotions I name completely.
And know that I will guide you back to wholeness.
For a moment,
Allow yourself to feel resentment.
What emotions are associated with resentment?
What does this emotion feel like in your body?
When there is a feeling of resentment in your body,
How do you feel?
Release the feeling of resentment completely.
Allow it to completely dissolve from your body.
What does forgiveness feel like?
Where does the capacity to forgive originate?
What does this feeling feel like in your body?
When accompanying felt emotions or sensations are connected to the feeling of forgiveness,
Let this feeling go completely and return it back to the universe.
Return back to your heart.
Return now.
Feel your whole body breathing effortlessly with your environment.
Feel yourself integrated and whole,
Resting here now.
Return to wholeness.
Return to wholeness.
Return to wholeness.
Feel your whole self here.
Become more aware of your breath and how it glides in and how the exhale dances out,
Feeling the universal flow of your breath and how your breath continually plugs you into the whole,
This dance of receive and release.
Feel cradled by the earth and the air in connection with the whole.
Know that in this experience,
You are fully held and supported.
Repeat these affirmations into the current of the collective.
With every inhale,
Draw in from the collective whole.
With every exhale,
Release what no longer serves you back to be processed in the environment.
Wash and release.
Begin with an exhale.
Inhale let go.
Exhale release disappointment.
Inhale let go.
Exhale release shame.
Inhale let go.
Exhale release blame.
Inhale let go.
Exhale release anger.
Inhale let go.
Exhale release fear.
Inhale let go.
Exhale release ego.
I let go of disappointment.
I let go of shame.
I let go of blame.
I let go of anger.
I let go of fear.
I let go of ego.
Return back into your body,
Breathing effortlessly.
Allow your body to become pure light,
Dissolving and merging with the space around you.
You are a necessary part of the collective.
You are worthy of space.
Feel larger than yourself,
Integrated and a part of the whole.
Notice how your brow,
Heart and navel center are all connected.
Make a tethered cord grounding you,
Holding you and stabilizing you at your core.
You are safe within the framework of your body.
Your light and energy are in this universal flow together,
Plugged into the collective.
Allow yourself to see someone,
Something or situation that you need to forgive.
It could even be yourself.
Call upon this person,
Not a memory of who they were,
But where they are now,
Regardless of distance and time.
Call upon this person from the universe,
Where they are in the present,
Without dialogue or storyline,
Like a whisper in the universe,
Powerful and potent.
Do not be afraid for you are supported,
Plugged into the whole.
Say to this person or situation,
I forgive you for not being who I wanted you to be.
I forgive you and I set you free.
I forgive you for not being who I wanted you to be.
I forgive you and I set you free.
I forgive you for not being who I wanted you to be.
I forgive you and I set myself free.
See this person dissolved,
Separate from you,
No longer connected,
No longer controlling you.
Release this person completely.
Release this person completely.
Release and set yourself free to receive.
Rest into spacious awareness.
Allow any emotions to arise,
Process and move through you,
For you are held in this sacred space.
Keep your heart open.
With your whole body connected to the whole,
Pose the question which you are seeking to answer.
It's not necessary you know the answer,
But by posing the question you open to receive,
Then you listen.
You listen with your whole body,
With trust in yourself and support the whole collective within the universe.
In this cycle of birth,
Life and transition,
We are all equal,
Soul selves moving in the collective.
You give yourself and the other the gift of acceptance.
Here is your opportunity to move on.
Take the steps and feel this now.
What would it feel like to move on in forgiveness?
Move on in acceptance.
You are a necessary part of the collective.
You are worthy of space.
Feel larger than yourself,
Integrated in a part of the whole.
You are so loved.
Feel this love now.
Say goodbye with an open heart,
Knowing this isn't the end of your journey.
It's the depth and journey of transformation you have been on,
All you have faced,
All you have overcome,
And the person you are becoming.
Return back into your body.
Your body,
Mind,
And heart are free.
This earthly state,
Remember this feeling.
Allow a final message to come forth from your heart in the form of your sankalpa.
I trust and I let go.
I trust and I let go.
One more time.
The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.
Rest back into your pores within your physical form,
Into the support you feel,
Held and cradled here.
Feel the palms of your hands from the inside out,
The soles of your feet from the inside out.
Allow the awareness of your hands and your feet to integrate your heart-filled presence through your entire body.
Invite small movements back into your body through your fingertips and toes.
And awaken your body into any organic stretch you may need.
And as you exhale,
Allow everything to drop and integrate.
Roll onto either side of your body to pause,
Then rise to a seat.
Sit in a way that embodies love and respect for yourself.
Connect fully with your breath,
Body,
And the whole.
Fall back in love with yourself in this moment.
Even as you transition out of this practice,
You remain tethered and integrated with the whole,
Supported,
Nurtured,
And cared for.
Trust your intuition and trust yourself.
Like an ear to the universe,
Listen and you shall receive.
Keep listening even beyond this practice.
You are worthy of love.
Trust and let go.
